6 kids under the age of 6 take on WDW, will Santa still visit when we get home?

what a wet and wooly day:rotfl: It's definately in the spirit of WDW to put on the poncho and head out any ways though:thumbsup2 Sure beats sitting in the little hotel room!

I love your ornament...what a terrific souvie that made!

I hope things dry out a bit for the party::yes::

I just read through your entire report and loved it!! We leave in 29 days for POP (our 2nd time there). So excited.

I grew up in Plymouth, MA, my parents still live there. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. The schools are great. It has been built up so much since I was there. Love visiting!

Kerrie

Hi Kristen

Happy Birthday!!! I noticed that you mentioned that you got a purple Ipod...anything on it yet? Is this the last of the cake? Any more bdays coming up?
Love your most recent updates...I have to agree with the rest, here...your deck time sounds heavenly!!! When will you see Tracey again? Have they ever come here to vaca? So much to see down near you and in Boston...maybe not so much right now!?! Today my outdoor thermometer says 0! Soooooooo COLD!!!! Sounds like you have some great memories all together.
That day in Disney was awful...weather wise. Our $7 Disney ponchos didn't fare much better than yours...it was just raining too hard. Good idea on DTD, though...although, apparently everyone had that idea. Loved that Christmas ornament. Did you find that at the Christmas store or at WOD. I just love shopping there...their decor is so beautiful. Did you ever find the jewelry you were looking for? Oh wait...I think I know what you got?!? Don't want to ruin the anticipation so, I won't mention what I think it is....hmmmm. Also, don't want to ruin the anticipation regarding the weather and your big night out. Can't wait to read about!
Also, love the pictures of the boys...you have adorable little men!::yes::

What a bummer about all the rain but looks like you made the best of it. I can imagine how much fun Cole must have had playing in it. It's the little things like that they get the biggest kick out of.

The Sears pictures are adorable. Cole looks like such a little man. Lucas looks very sweet. Is there one of Ethan? I didn't see one.

Your rainy down day sounds like the first day of our honeymoon, when the skies opened up on us at Epcot... and we ended up missing out on our most favorite park as a result of the rain. :( We only made it to our lunch ressies at Le Cellier that day, and then sprinted through the rain, without ponchos or umbrellas (I'm a bad DISer, I don't ever pack ponchos, I just brave the rain usually), back to the bus stop.

I'm glad you guys were able to salvage a bit of the rainy day, and I really hope the weather cleared up for you before MVMCP! :)

Looking forward to more!

Oh my goodness! How did I fall so far behind? Well I'm all caught up now! Let's see...

Dinner at Tony's sounds great. Love that you had such a great surprise with the parade when you came out. I think your pictures came out great! And what a good dad to pull double duty holding both boys! :)

LOVE the picture of Cole passed out on the bed with his mickey ears

The stuffies look cute on the bed too. I remember my brother and I coming back to find our stuffed animals in various poses and loving it. Ahh... Disney magic!! pixiedust:

Love all the Pop photos. As LL posted I didn't really do much exploring either so it's fun to see what I missed. The contrast in size between the Mickey phone and the kids is hysterical! :rotfl:

The character photos came out great. The anniversary button story is priceless. Only in WDW would no one even blink an eye and just happily wish two guys happy anniversary. If only the rest of the world were like that! :goodvibes

SO glad you enjoyed Soarin and Le Cellier. I would so love to have that combo this afternoon instead of watching it snow! :sad2:

Kidcot station looks fun!

The Viking picture is priceless! :lmao:

Tell me.. how is the cash cat working for you??? I must get one when I go back!! ::yes::

Thanks so much for the Toon Town pics. That is something I didn't have a chance to see.

Hurrah for 1,000 posts and for a trip for your Mom's 60th! :cheer2: I think I'll just miss you... too bad!

I love that the grown ups were able to catch up on the "deck" outside your rooms and eat the secret snacks... too cute!

Your down day was my first day, I think. Oy to all that rain! I can't imagine WOD being at capacity. Yikes!

Love the kids school pics!

OK... now I'm all caught up. I will try not to take an extended absence again. ;)

What a rainy day but at least you made the most of it, sometimes that is half the battle. ::yes::

We bought the same ornament for our tree, it's really hard to photograph! I agree, it's much prettier in person.

The boys pictures are adorable! :bitelip:

You're right, we did make the best of our rainy day and at least it was our "down" day and not our last day somewhere where we felt we needed to get so much in, you know? I love that ornament, it hangs so pretty on the tree and sparkles, you're right, it doesn't photograph well, at all!!

Thanks, LL about your comment about the boys, I thought those pics came out soo cute, thanks for letting me share my little men!!:goodvibes

what a wet and wooly day:rotfl: It's definately in the spirit of WDW to put on the poncho and head out any ways though:thumbsup2 Sure beats sitting in the little hotel room!

paula

Hi Paula!!:wave2:
We did make the best of things and like you said, we were in WDW, a little (or a lot in our case!!) rain wasn't going to hold us back, especially with the thoughts of keeping all 6 kids in a hotel room for the day!!! AHH!! My worst nightmare!! LOL!!:rotfl2:

Stay tuned for the rest of the day...coming soon!!

I just read through your entire report and loved it!! We leave in 29 days for POP (our 2nd time there). So excited.

Hi Kerrie!!!

Thanks for reading!! And for your compliment on my TR, it's my first one, so not always sure what I"m doing is right ,but it's so much fun!!! Are you thinking of writing one with your upcoming trip? You have time for a PTR right now!! Hint, hint!!;)

Awww, love Plymouth!! I grew up on the Cape, moved to Philly for 11 years and came back a couple of years ago to Plymouth. We love the area....great schools, close to Boston, the Cape where my Mom & Dad are, the beach:beach: ....does it get any better? It has grown a ton over the years and a lot in the 3 years we've been here. Do you come home often?

Will this be your first trip to WDW and to POP? Fill me in when you can!! Thanks for joining the party!!! :goodvibes

Cole did have a great time in the rain...it was warm enough, so why not, right?!! Warmer than home anyways!!:lmao: Thanks for the compliment about Lucas and Cole's Sears pics...no, there wasnt one of Ethan, but you know what? Since you asked, I'll post his from November (his 6 year pic) now I feel bad not putting one up of Ethan. I had just picked up Lucas' 4 year and Cole's 18 mos. pics so that's why I posted them. Be on the lookout!!

Aww....that's a shame about your honeymoon and being rained out in Epcot. Boy, when it rains there, it POURS!! We had fun though and we didn't let us stop us...it just turned into a bad hair day!! LOL! Note there were no pics of me during DTD!!! :)

Updating some more now....check in later!!!

Hi!!!:wave2:

Thanks for my birthday wishes, you're so sweet!!! I've decided that I'm no longer celebrating...I'm starting to get too old!!! :upsidedow I have listened to my purple Ipod...it's great. Todd downloaded some great songs for me before giving it to me, I think he knew I wouldn't be capable of doing that or finding the time to figure it out so he surprised me with some great tunes. It's fun!!! Yes, the cake is done!!! Blah!!!:scared: October- now is tough with all the cake, Thanksgiving, Disney vacations, Christmas, birthdays...all you do is eat. Back to reality!!! And I'm looking forward to that (and so is my waistline!!).

Our "deck" time was the best, it's what we needed every night to recoup AND have that quality time. Not sure when I'll see Tracey again....right now we have plans to see them over July 4th weekend but that is WAY too far away....so we're hoping they can plan a trip up this way maybe in a couple of months. They do come up once a year or so to stay with us and visit but never when it's warm, so they are hoping to do that next time. I hope it's sooner than later!!!:sad1:

I'm pretty sure you know what I got as a souvie from Disney...shh....don't tell, that's days away yet! And there is quite the story behind that.

Hope you're staying warm, we have another 8 inches of snow today on top of what was already out there (probably at least 6 inches!!).....glad to be sitting next to the fire right now!!!

Sorry I haven't pm'd you...promise to do so soon!!!
ttys!!!:goodvibes

Hi Christine!!
Boy, after reading your responses, you did miss a lot!! ::yes:: But thanks for coming back and checking on me....it was fun to get your recap on my TR!! :goodvibes

Hmm, cash cat isn't working too hard for us...maybe she isn't happy where she is sitting and I should relocate her to someplace else in the house. She's sitting on a drafty window sill, so maybe if I move her someplace warmer, she'd be happy and produce some cash for us!! LOL!!:rotfl: I'll keep you posted on that one!! But that being said, it truly has worked wonders for Tracey and Adam, that the $5 investment may be worth it!! :thumbsup2

Wasn't that day of rain unbelievable!? We were SO WET! Oh well, we had fun shopping and made the best of things.

Thanks for all of the compliments, too!! I'm working on the rest of the day right now..stay tuned, hope to see you again soon!!!:wave2:

ps- when are you going in September?? I forget!!

So I left off on our way to POP for a shower and some warm clothes, it was later than we had hoped to get back "home". I had really wanted to get back after noon sometime in hopes to have the baby nap before heading back out for the night but it was already at least 2:30 p.m. and our ressies for Chef Mickey's were at 5 p.m.

We rushed back to POP for a quick freshen up and it was time to head over to the Contemporary. We took the bus from POP to MK so we could take the monorail for the first time to Chef Mickey's. The kids were so excited to ride the monorail for the first time ever, so we asked if there was any chance we could sit in the front, there wasn't any room on this one and we didn't want to chance things and wait for the next one, so off we went....

Disney1208262.jpg

We finally get to the Contemporary and headed to the gift shop to take a look around, I was still keeping my eyes peeled for something special to remind me of this special trip. Here are a few things we saw on the way
Disney1208264.jpg

Disney1208265.jpg

Disney1208266.jpg

And it was time to head to Chef Mickey's for dinner...
Disney1208267.jpg

Disney1208272.jpg

They took our picture as a group, I love this pic!!
snow009.jpg

Here are the kids being patient for our buzzer to go off...
Disney1208268.jpg

Disney1208269.jpg

And our buzzer finally went off and it was time to find out seats, somethings we saw on the way that I couldn't wait to get my hands on!! YUM!!:hyper:
Disney1208270.jpg

Disney1208271.jpg

Tracey and I went up and grabbed dinner for the kids, this is one thing I don't like about buffet dinners with the kids...it's a lot of work for me!! So after multiple trips up and quickly, it was time for the characters to start making the rounds. I found things moved very quickly at Chef Mickey's which is good with kids but not relaxing at all. But we did really enjoy this meal and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Here are some snapshots during dinner....
Disney1208273.jpg

Disney1208274.jpg

And the character started making their rounds
Donald!!
Disney1208275.jpg

Disney1208279.jpg

Lucas loves Donald, I have a similiar pic from last year, he's too cute with him!!
Disney1208280.jpg

Here comes Mickey!!
Disney1208282.jpg

the kids and Mickey
Disney1208283.jpg

Todd, me and Mickey--I had to get a pic with him, too!!
Disney1208285.jpg

Pluto!!
Disney1208286.jpg

Disney1208288.jpg

Disney1208291.jpg

Disney1208295.jpg

Since Cole wouldn't go near the character, Minnie was kind enough to come to him, but in a way that didn't really disturb him...too much, note his face!!
Disney1208296.jpg

continued.....

Those are some great pictures from Chef Mickey's! It looks like the kids were really enjoying themselves. I also love the boys' christmas shirts, very cute. :goodvibes

Our first night at Disney we are eating at Chef Mickey's. THe pics are great. Now I know what to expect. Can't wait to try the fixin bar!!

As far as Plymouth, we go back every couple of months. All of the new shopping areas are amazing. I miss the store I worked at on the waterfront though. :(

This will be our 2nd trip to POP. We stayed there last year at just about the same time. Pre-trip report?!?!?!? Nothing much to write about right now, but I think I will do an actual trip report when I come back.

Thanks LL, we did have fun there. Weren't the boys shirts cute? I had to get them for the Christmas party and for school, too. Lucas' was perfect when I found it since he was born on Christmas morning!!!:goodvibes

Hi Kerrie!
You'll love Chef Mickey's, it's so fun and the kids get so excited. YUM...the fixin' bar!!!! Even if you're too full, you've got to hit that up!!! I looked forward to that all week long....heehee!! It's the little things in life, right?

The shops are GREAT at exit 5&7! We live off exit 6 so I've got the best of both worlds. What shop did you work at down on the waterfront? Plymouth is the best.....we're so happy we moved here.

Looking forward to hearing abour upcoming trip...how many more days now? You'll let me know when you have a TR!!
:flower3:

Can't wait to hear more!

My parents are over by the airport. I don't go down to the shops at 5, but love the other ones. I used to work at a gift shop in Village Landing. My friend owned it for years and has since moved her location.

We were now on our way to MVMCP!!! It had finally stopped raining (woohoo!!:cool1: ) and it was going to be a great night!!! We had been waiting for this night the whole week, it was a surprise for the kids and we were really excited to get there. We jumped on the monorail and headed over to MK. We got there about 7, when the party started, so we didn't miss very much, even though if you held a ticket you could get into the park at 4. It was very quiet getting in and through security, we didn't know if we were missing something or not, but it ends up, we weren't! It was the slowest night of the week for the party and we were going to take full advantage of it!!!!

As soon as I started walking down Main Street, heard the Christmas music playing, saw the snow falling all over Main Street, I started to tear up!! :sad1: Tracey and I hugged, this was the moment we had been waiting for the entire week....the Disney magic!!!!! I'm not saying the rest of the week wasn't magical but something about this night was just extra special and you could just feel it in the air.pixiedust:

Here are some pics on the way down Main Street....

Disney1208242-1.jpg

So we made our way to the castle area, the show would be starting soon, Todd went and grabbed some free hot chocolate and cookies for us all and we found a great spot to watch.

Ethan decided he wanted something other than cookies...so we said, why not? Here he is enjoying his first Mickey ice cream!!!
Disney1208315.jpg

Disney1208317.jpg

and boy did he enjoy it!!:rotfl2:
Disney1208316.jpg

Almost after the show, the parade was starting, we literally just turned our bodies and it was going to be right in front of us. This is when I turned off my camera for a little bit. We were just all really enjoying the night, I didn't feel like taking any more pics and just wanted to enjoy every minute with the kids, so I apologize for not having any more pictures right now!! Other than this one...here is Lukey and I getting ready for the parade...can you tell how happy I am?!!
Disney1208318.jpg

The parade was wonderful, we really enjoyed it and it ended with Santa, the kids were SO excited to see him!!! It was really cute.

When the parade was done, we headed to make a potty stop and when Todd ran to get some more hot chocolate, he found out that Woody was making an appearance. We needed to get pics with them!! So we waited in line and finally it was our turn but for some reason, Lucas decided he didn't want any part of getting his picture taken....here are the kids....

Disney1208324.jpg

Disney1208327.jpg

Now it was time for us to ride some rides.....where would we go first??

We headed over to Frontierland first, we rode with no lines, Aladians carpets and then POTC. When we came out from POTC the fireworks were starting so we stopped and watched those, it was really beautiful and there was no one with us! I couldn't believe it, it was like we had the whole park to ourselves!!!:cool1:

We then made our way over to the Haunted Mansion and then up to Fantasyland were we road, Pooh Bear, IASW (again!! :thumbsup2 ) & Peter Pan. At this point, we decided to call it a night..we had so much fun and the kids were so good but getting tired, it was almost 11:30!!! How'd it get to be so late?:confused3

Here are a few pictures on our way home that night.....

Disney1208304.jpg

Disney1208305.jpg

Wasn't the castle just beautiful!!?:confused3 Since this was our last time at MK, it was the last time we saw the castle this trip and it was a beautiful way to remember it.....

Some balloon pics on Main Street..
Disney1208245-1.jpg

Disney1208246-1.jpg

Tracey and I stopped in a couple of shops on Main street to see if I could find that something special but no luck..yet!!;)

We headed out and where on our way to our bus stop ( the last bus stop!!) our bus was pulling up so we ran to it and made it on! Phew...

By the time we got back to POP, ALL of the kids were sound asleep!!!!!!!!! Every single one of them.....let me tell you what a nightmare it was to get them back to our rooms! Now, we were in a preferred room so it wasn't that far, but there was only 4 of us and 6 of them!!!!!!!!!! I worked off every last bit of cheesecake that night, let me tell you!! LOL!!:rotfl2: But we made it....

Here is a pic of the boys all snug in their beds with visions of Mickey danced in their heads.....it was a GREAT day!!:thumbsup2

Disney1208250-1.jpg

Up next......AK!! and Lucas & Zach special birthday dinner....

Can't wait to hear more!

Your parents and I are neighbors!! ;) We live off of Seven Hills!! Ethan goes to Federal Furnace Elementary, did you go there growing up? Talk about a small world!!

We were just down at Village Landing this weekend, some friends and I had dinner at East Bay and then walked around Village Landing. It was fun!!!!
