6 kids under the age of 6 take on WDW, will Santa still visit when we get home?

Sounds like you had a fantastic time at MVMCP. I thought about doing that this year when we go but some on here talked me out of it saying it wasn't worth the money, too crowded, etc. From reading your experience it sounds like maybe I should try to put it back in there. What is your opinion? WOuld you do it again?

Oh, the party looked like so much fun! I love the pictures of the castle. I don't think it could look any prettier. The night really sounds like it was magical -- including your ability to get the sleeping kids back to the rooms.

I love the group picture from CM!

Really enjoying your trip report. Great pictures! :)

Thanks!! Glad you're here!!! :goodvibes

Awww, I got a little misty eyed reading about how happy you all were at the party. :goodvibes

It was SO MAGICAL, LL......I can't even describe it well enough for you. I said that to Tracey, I had read SO much about the party and how magical Main Street was, but no one can even try to describe the feeling you get whne walking down Main Street in the snow.....it was so beautiful!!

You know, it's funny, I had read the same things you did. And especially after we had bought the (expensive!!) tickets, but we all said, it was worth EVERY penny!! I don't know if we lucked out getting the quietest night of the week or what, but we saw everything we wanted to, Main Street wasn't crowded, we had front row seats to the show, the parade, walked on every ride....it was great with the kids!! I highly recommend it!! The CM's kept telling us how quiet it was that night, so I think we lucked out some there....if you do it, do it during the week for sure so you're not getting all the locals there too. I really thought it was what Disney is all about...those little extra magical moments. But that's just my opinion. :goodvibes

Hi!! I know, wasn't the castle gorgeous? It was like it was dripping in diamonds or something...it was just so pretty!! Even though my pics arent the best!!

LOL!...Yes, getting the kid back to the room was a nightmare.....we were all sweating, even though it was cold out!! We had to walk from the bus station, through Everything Pop, down the walk way, up the elevator in the 70's building to get them home. OMG....it was tough...but no one woke up and we didn't lose anything or anyone!! LOL!! That's how you make memories, right!! ;)

Thanks about your compliment on our pic....I was happy with it...we were all looking, most of us smiling..what more can you ask for? LOL!!:lmao:

Okay...time to get the kiddos ready for school! Hope to post AK later today!!! Have a great day everyone!!:thumbsup2

HI Kristen!!

Sorry I've been bad about posting:blush:

I've been reading faithfully though!! Your trip sounds amazing!!
I wish now that I'd have taken my kids when they were younger. Kyle was 11, Ellie 7 and Allison was 5 (almost 6) on their first trip.

It really makes me feel like (especially Kyle) missed out on so much, by us waiting!!

I am also very impressed that the 4 of you wrestled 6 sleeping kids off the bus and into bed!!!:faint:

Hey, just found and read your entire TR this morning. Great job. I really enjoy all the photos. You all have beautiful children. we went the last time Thanksgiving week 2007. We hope to go back this sept. Last time was my oldest sons last trip as a family. He was 20 then and decided that he had enough of disney for a long while. The next trip will just be my husband, me and my soon to be 10 yr. old son. That is unless we go with some friends of ours. Can't wait to read more of your TR.

Hi Paula!!:wave2:

I missed you, glad you're back!! But just posted on your PTR, now I know why you went missing...you're planning your own trip!! WOOHOO!! It will be fun to plan together....even though your upcoming trip is a month or two before my next one.

I'm glad we took the boys when they were young....but I will tell you, I worry about waiting another 3 or so years like Todd wants to to take them again cause then Ethan will be 9, Lucas will be 7 and Cole will be 4ish.....they will be at all different places, you know? OH well.....they will still have fun!! AND it makes sense to wait so we don't have to lug the baby stuff every where and worry about naps like we did the last two trips. I guess you have your pros and cons....

Welcome back!!!:cheer2:

HI Momminnie!!! I love your screen name, very cute!:p Thanks for joining along and for the compliments, I really appreciate it!

Aww, that's sad that last years trip was your last one as a family with your oldest son!!!:sad1: I hope my boys never get too old to go to Disney, but I suppose for awhile they want to do bigger things. I hope you get to go in September!! It's a nice time of year to go and a lot quieter than other times....keep me posted! We can plan together!!!:goodvibes

We stayed up last night and came up with somewhat of a plan of attack for today, it was Adam and Tracey's 10th anniversary, so we gave them their gift while sitting on the 'deck' last night. I made them shirts for their anniversary for the day (planning they'd wear them to bed or something, it was really more of a joke thing) and a card. They were so appreciative and said they'd wear them to AK. I had also made all the kids tshirts and gave them to them the first night we got to WDW, but we decided today would be the day they would wear them, so take note of them while reading this portion of my TR, they came out cute!!:p

Our alarm went off at the usual time, it was about 6 a.m, I hung up the phone and just layed there. Last night Tracey and I decided we'd meet at 7:30 again for breakfast and head to AK. Well, as I was laying there, I fell asleep! And all the kids were still sleeping, so I slept and slept some more and then jumped out of bed! It was 7!!!! I quickly jumped into the shower, woke Todd up and told him to pack the bags and slowly wake the kids up. With my short hair, I can't even pretend I showered....I have to wash out the product and redo it everyday or I look like a maniac!!:joker: When I was out of the shower and dressed, I called Tray and told her we'd need some extra time, they were fine with that.....we opened the door between our rooms about 10 minutes later when Todd was out of the shower and dressed and while we finished getting ready we let the kids play between our rooms. This was not a good start for the day.....

We headed to Everything POP for our usual breakfast, the kids had two or three potty breaks between all 6 of them before heading to the bus stop for AK and we dealt with one or two fits, but we were on our way and ready to make the best of things. We got to AK about 9 or so.

Having trouble with photobucket...will try to post more later..sorry!!:goodvibes

Sorry about earlier, I couldn't get Photobucket to download....here are some pics from that morning....

Just a little side note, we didn't really have a plan of attack for this park. In all honesty, AK is not my favorite park and if Tracey and Adam weren't with us, we would have skipped this park. But that's just my opinion. I think it has beautiful things to see and do but for some reason, we just do not enjoy this park...it's alway hot, crowded, I find it hard to find my way around and get strollers through and my kids are always cranky for some reason....so I was kinda of just going through the motions for my friends sake. So, off we went.....

Here are some pics of the kids along the way....

The guys then took the kids onto the 'flying dino' ride, similiar to Dumbo....

Tracey fed Emmi at this time and checked into another shop. When the guys got off, we decided it was time to eat, before we ventured off to find something to eat, the kids wanted to take a look at the pins
Disney1208372.jpg

We headed off toward the BBQ place but decided that wasn't going to work for the kids so we kind of strayed back towards the Safari ride....we kept walking and walking and ended up with only about 20 minutes before our ride was scheduled so we stopped at the snack bar right outside the safari entrance and got a quick snack. We grabbed some pretzels, fruit and a couple of drinks to take the edge off. And then it was time....

Disney1208375.jpg

I was a little nervous to ride this again after last years ride...Cole was 3 mos. old and was in a snugli on this last year and I swear, I almost bounced RIGHT out of the truck with him! :hyper: It was scarey but this year went okay....he had more weight on him and ws very excited to see the animals and go for the ride.:moped:

Here are a few shots along the way...it was tough to take pictures holding onto the boys and trying to show them the animals since they are so small in the truck.

After the safari, we decided to call it a day. We only took two rides in a few hours and the kids were all cranky, Adam and Tracey weren't too impressed and we still had a night in Epcot ahead of us. On the way out, Todd heard a woman calling his name, but Tracey and I were ahead of him, so he thought it wasn't directed at him. It turned out it was for him! There came running after us was our friend, Karen, with her two kids. We haven't seen her since oru days in Philly (she lives there still) and she actually helped us deliver Ethan way back when, she was one of my nurses. We caught up with her a bit and were then on our way....

up next, time for Epcot, it was a special night for our two birthday boys!!pixiedust:

(sorry for the lame update of AK, it was just a bad day!!)

Cute pictures! Sometimes I miss having children that age, then I see one of those meltdowns!

I agree that AK seems harder to navigate than the other parks. I'm not sure why that is but it seems like it.

I love the meltdown pictures, they make me chuckle. Especially the one where your youngest is just looking at him like he's completely crazy. :rotfl:

Glad I'm not the only one, LL! It tough to figure your way through AK, even with a map, for me for some reason!!! LOL!:rotfl:

I know....Cole was too funny, he just kept watching them.....thankfully they got it out of their system before heading to Epcot....afterall, today was a special day for them (but they didn't know!!). :thumbsup2

Okay, so I stole this from LL, but wanted to share.....here is the countdown for my next trip....don't laugh too hard!!:rotfl2: I think I may be depressed when I actually look at this...lol!!:rotfl2:

235 days
20,304,000 seconds
338,400 minutes
5640 hours
33 weeks

The scarey thing is....it will go by fast, I'm sure of it!!!!:thumbsup2

AK is one of our fave parks... but I don't know if it would be if my kids were littler. It does always seem so hot an crowded!!

I love the shirts you made... really great job!!

Paula
