Anyone think this is possible? :confused3 I'm not sure how long Fantasmic lasts, but if we sit near the top to sneak out quick (:rotfl:) then take the walkway or boat over to the EPCOT resorts and enter EPCOT through the international gateway, then walk all the way around the "pond" to Mexico...hmmmm.....maybe it's not so very possible?? Any advice is appreciated, even the "What are you thinking?!" kind....
Thanks!
Sandy

OOOOO I'm so sorry - I should have searched first! Found a response to nearly same question with France as the dining destination! I can gather info from that - again, sorry!!!

I don't think you can pull it off, but... Remember alot of folks will be spilling out of HS at the same time you do. Let us know if you try it!

You might be able to make it. With the 15 extra minutes on the ADR and if you can walk fast it could work.

not sure if that other post advises the boat, but I'd forgo the boat for the bus to Epcot. That boat ride is pretty slow and if you're waiting for a boat it can be an eternity.

2 hours is fine

Show 25 minutes, walk to bus 20 minutes, wait for bus 15, ride to Epcot 10, walk to Mexico 15 minutes.

I think we'll give it a shot...should be cold and we'll need to warm up with a nice "brisk" walk...

We appreciate the advice!

I would walk and enter through the International Gateway. The buses may be jammed due to F! as well.

FWIW, I walked from the DHS parking lot (to the far right and hopped over the guardrail to the pathway by the bus entrance) to the bridge between the UK and France in 18 min. Made a little cut thru the Boardwalk parking lot instead of taking the path all the way past the Boardwalk, though. :)

It was a warm evening so I was sweating a bit so I wouldn't recommend walking quite so fast. :)

Don't even try it. You'll be worried the whole time during Fantasmic about your reservation.

Cheers!

We asked someone at the boat dock on the Epcot side how long it would take for us to walk to DHS from there and were told 45 minutes! Even after we said we were fast walkers (2 adults in their late 20's). We ended up waiting for the boat instead, but I knew we could have walked it in less than 45 mins...

45min? Sheesh...no way.

it's 20-25min. tops, at a brisk pace, from Intl Gateway to the entrance of DHS. But I started from the DHS parking lot, not the entrance so had a bit of a head start. :)

I agree. Done it many times. We never take the boat unless we want a boat ride. We've also watched for the boat while walking at pretty much end up beating it everytime.

That's what I would do for sure - I think you would have time - I would say - half hour for the show only a 20 mins walk to International Gateway and at least Mexico is the first country in. Biggest problem might be exiting the park after Fanasmic - sit towards the back (I would say to the right near the exit) - if you sit closer to the front, it takes an age to get everyone out. I really wouldn't attempt buses or boat if your in a hurry.

I saw ZERO boats go by during that walk, fwiw

If you're fit and don't mind a walk it should work. But I think that's about the only way you could guarantee it would work.

Fantasmic should be over by 6:55, but I would count on at least 15 minutes to exit the park afterward. Lots of bodies moving at the same time.

Assuming you leave the park by 7:10, you're looking at about a half hour walk from the DHS gates to the EPCOT gate at International Gateway. The upside is that it's a very pretty walk, especially at night.

That puts you in EPCOT at 7:40. It would be about another 10-15 minutes to make your way through the gates and over to Mexico. That still puts you there well before your check in time.

I think we're going to go for it...hopefuly hubby won't be too lame from being "Goofy"!

Your input is very much appreciated!
:yay:

I also say: DO IT!

Just came back from a stay at the Swan last week where we walked back and forth twice each day from Epcot and the Studios back to our resort.

We outwalked the boats each time (one of the boats even dared us to a race!) and I think you would make it in time.

BTW, we had a FANTASTIC dinner at La Hacienda. Have fun!
