I just returned from a short trip with my daughter and friend and we had a great time. I loved the Port Orleans Riverside rooms, but not so much my room location. If you are staying there, watch the room location. We were in building 24, which is a very long way from the cafeteria and lobby. We had to eat all of our meals in the park because it was just so out of the way for us. I did not like that.
I wasn't sure what to expect on Father's Day weekend, but the crowds weren't too bad. Between Genie + and rope dropping we were easily able to get on everything. We did get individual LL to ride avatar because we wanted to sleep in that day, we walked right on to Mine Train and Frozen. We did the Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom and I am sorry to say, I probably won't do it again. I have done several dessert parties at DL and WDW over the years, but the quality of what was offered is just not worth it anymore. Overall, I noticed that the quality of food in general at the parks seems to have declined. It's amusement park food so I'm not expecting gourmet, but compared to previous years it stood out to me. Just an observation. It was blazing hot, but a good trip!
