I know that this has been discussed and people say it will never happen, but look. Avatar land is happening...never thought in a million years Disney would do that?!? So, there is hope for a Villain park or land. =))

I know that the Halloween parties have been very successful and the other villain events Disney has hosted. They could even have a Villain Resort??? That's another thread =))

This park or land would be or could be focused on PreTeens and Teens (Universal territory/competition?)

So, I'd like to know what you would name the park or land? The main hub idea? Rides?

My thoughts:
Disney's Dark Kingdom
Disney's Villain Kingdom
Dark Land
Villain's Land

Main Hub Idea?
A classic...from a classic movie....Black, Silver and Gold highlighted Castle (Maleficent's Castle) using black lights, purple, green, blue and such to illuminate it at night.

Character/Movie based rides/land or restaurant sit down or counter service?
The Nightmare before Christmas Land
Alice in Wonderland Land
Jungle Book Land featuring KAA
A Christmas Carol - Scrooges Land
Frankenweenie's Land
The Black Hole
Tron ride
Captain Nemo & The Giant Squid Coaster
Escape to Witch Mountain Coaster ride
Pete's Dragon Ride
Something Wicked This Way Comes (Dark Coaster)
Judge Doom (Roger Rabbit Coaster)
The Chronicles of Narnia land
Hector Barbossa's coaster
The Kraken coaster
Davy Jones Twisted Tenacles Coaster
Prince of Persia Sands of Time Coaster/Land
The Sorcerers Apprentice land
Agent's of Shield Land
Thor The Dark World
Guardians of the Galaxy Land
Age of Ultron Coaster
The Wizards of Waverly Place land
Halloween Town
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
Kingdom Hearts Land
Maleficent's Dragon Ride
Jafar's Teacups?
Gaston's Raging Rapids water ride
Mother Gothal's Tower of Terror
Han's Ice Challenge coaster
Hade's River Styx (Indoor boat ride similar to Pirates)
Ursula's Octo-Scrambler
Scar and his Evil Hyena's Thrill Coaster
Captain Hooks Tick Tick Crock Coaster
Magic Mirror Funhouse
The Raven (High Speed Coaster)
The Adventures of Icabod
The Headless Horseman Coaster (StandUp)
The Queen of Hearts Teacups
Cruella De Vill dog catchers coaster
The Sword in the Stone Adventure
The Black Culdron night rider coaster
Cave of Wonders (Boat ride/inside water ride)

I was on a roll Jes!!!

There could be other types of rides...but I was hinting a IOA or US type of theme park for the PreTeen and Teen crowds....so, many would be faster rides....but there could be a handful of smaller rides like Barnstormer type, teacups, or other slower moving rides.

Have you been to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure?

I wish they would have dumped the Avatar and gone with Hobbit/Lord Of the Rings land.

Fix Hollywood studios then we will worry about a fifth gate...

But if I had to get a fifth gate bring over Disney Tokyo Sea and make it Disneys Sea and then we have a gate for the more adult audience too

Yes I have and in terms of thrill, I much prefer UOR/IOA, but I can't get past the history and finer details of WDW. I love it.
None of the rides at WDW gave me the same thrill as those over at the dark side, with the exception of the water parks!

I think they need to fix the original parks first. AK has Avatar land coming and a night time show. HS needs a ton of help. There is talk of redoing Tomorrow land in the MK. Epcot could use another country or two.

I would say definitely fix/finish existing attractions and projects, but seriously, a 5th gate would be sweet!

I know this will not happen due to contractual issues but how cool would a marvel land be. Because we can't have that a villans park would be cool with more adult rides

If this were to ever happen, I think maybe one or two coasters would be fine but dark rides would be the way to go. The dark rides lend themselves to better storytelling and build up suspense the way a villain themed ride should be.

I wonder how Disney would go about doing it. Would the lands be broken up by movie, a la CarsLand? That would seem pretty limiting. So then how do you break the Villains up into groups that could go into lands? A water world with Ursula comes to mind, who else could fit in there? What are some other ways the lands could be broken up?

I like the idea of Maleficent's castle juxtaposing Cinderella's, but that seems almost too obvious, haha!

I'm not sure that dark rides would be the best fit, even if they would be the best platform for telling a story. The dark nature of this theme is going to seriously turn off little ones obviously, and I don't think a park full of dark rides would pull in enough tweens-adults to justify the cost. I think the best would be some sort of mix, something like Radiator Spring Racers in DLR, but with more of a thrill aspect.

We have a 5th gate and it's an abomination called DisneyQuest. But I digress. It would take ten years if they actually started construction on a new, large park. But I think they'll build a smaller park with 3 hub and spokes and the themes would be Land/Sea/Air... It would fit where Cars, Planes, and the next movie, Ships (j/k) to come out and occupy space in each land. Families love water rides and it would be the perfect building block if the rumored CarsLand got the ax to make way for a massive Star Wars presence in DHS. Pixar Place won't be expanded enough to satisfy regulars.

If they want to incorporate villains into the new park, each section could have a light and dark area, totaling 6 areas (plus a main area, probably). I'm sure there's plenty of Marvel characters that fit into the Land/Sea/Air category. We have rights to Aquaman? Any space stuff falls into Air category, so we got Guardians covered. I think a new park would be really interactive and the RFID technology would be all out like a sports car on the autobahn.
