FYI: Some of the recent 50th Anniversary limited edition goods being sold by Disney are fetching 2, 3, and even 5 times their recent purchase price on eBay, especially if they are sold out.
The replica Disneyland Plaque sold for around $55.00, now sold out, is fetching $168 to $200.
Recently I purchased two limited edition Nautilus submarine models for $499 each. They are limited to 3,500 . They won't sell as fast as the plaque because of the price, but once they are sold out I expect to sell one of them to pay for the other and get one free for my collection.
I've done this with limited edition prints as well. I buy the print sometimes sight unseen from a new release, then sell it later and make some cash. James Christensen was one of my favorites to do this with and I always made money.
Here's a link to the Nautilus. They have other limited edition collectables for the 50th as well.
