50th birthday at DL

Wife's taking me to Disneyland for my 50th birthday (when did I get so old?). Would like to book a restaurant at either the hotels or Downtown Disney for the actual day of my birthday (going to the parks the following day). Any suggestions?

Napa Rose is never a bad idea! I turn 50 next spring, so I'm right there with ya. For my birthdays in the past when I've been at the park I've done Carthay Circle and Blue Bayou.

In my opinion, Napa Rose Chefs Counter is the way to go. You would book 2 months on the 1st of the month in advance, not 60 days. So we are going December 18th and we left a message at Napa Rose directly at 12am on October 1st. They called us back the next day to confirm. 714-300-7170. I turned 50 on a Disney cruise after 7 days in the parks (WDW)! Have fun!

I will be celebrating my 50th at Blue Bayou next month. Never been so I can't say whether I recommend or not yet.

I have done the Napa Rose Chef's Counter and the NR wine pairing (plus a few regular meals). The food is wonderful and I'll bet you'd be treated very well. I'm sorry to say that I've not been impressed with the service there other than the Chef's Counter, where we got the royal treatment. On the other hand, I love the NR lounge. I like to get a table by the fireplace. The food is also wonderful and less expensive. The atmosphere is a little more casual but still posh and I find it more comfortable.

I would have said Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen but they're in the midst of a remodel.

A lot of people love Naples. It's a sort of upscale pizza/Italian restaurant. I *personally* find it kind of meh, but it's a nice venue and lots of fun.
