I am thinking about taking my youngest daughter to HS in September to celebrate her 3rd birthday (well, a few days before her birthday) while her brothers and sister are in school, so it will be just a "mommy and me" day trip. We have been to Sci Fi and enjoyed it, but haven't tried 50's PTC yet. Is it worth it for just the two of us to go? I know it will probably be more for me than her, but should I give it a shot? Or just eat at Sci Fi and wait for the rest of the family to try out 50's? HELP!!!

Yikes! Thats a tough one. If its just the two of you, i'd say stick with Sci Fi and wait to go to 50's when you have the whole family. It would be more fun that way. Your 3 yr old wont understand the humor at 50's. Any jabs the servers take will be for your amusement....not hers. Who knows, your 3 yr old might not even like the fact that someone is "bullying" her mommy. Lol! If there are more of you there, she might be more comfy with it. I personally love both places but I was disapointed with the fried chicken at 50's. Way too salty. maybe i ordered wrong. Sci Fi still remains my fave. :) The atmosphere is great. And their ribs are yummy!

I would worry that a 3 year old might not like the atmosphere. At least at 50's, you'll have more of a chance to talk and interact with each other. Plus she'll get LOTS of attention on her birthday at 50's.

We love it there. It's one of our must-dos every trip. Sci-Fi, eh, we tried it and the burgers were delish, but we'll choose 50's over Sci-Fi for sure.
