50's Prime Time or Mama Melrose'?

I have lunch reservations for the 50's Prime Time Cafe but was just able to grab reservations for Mama Melrose's which is what I wanted in the first place. Can anyone give me pluses or minuses for either place?

We aren't picky eaters but had our worst meal ever at wdw at Mama Melrose. It's just really not that good very average food on the best day--worse than olive garden and then with problems with service and food temperature, etc it was just awful. If you get the Fantasmic package with the meal then it's barely worth a try and why we ate there. 50's however is one of our favorites. The fried chicken is just unbelievably good. We've never had a bad meal there and often it's one of the best meals of our trip. We don't like to play along with the staff and we just let the host know before seating us and have always had nice service. The kids love watching the old tv shows too.

Definetly 50's Prime Time. Mama Melrose was AWFUL!!

I have never been to MM but have heard that it's not too good. However, I have been to prime time about 10 times and have always had a great meal. The staff is also very fun! I would absolutely go to prime time.

I have been to Prime Time Cafe on multiple occasions for both lunch and dinner, so I would recommend going there because I always thought the food and service was great.

I've been to both at least three times and the only one I will continue going back to is Mama Melrose's. We gave 50's the "Three strikes you are out" try and they struck out horribly two out of three times - bad food and really bad service. We go to MM's at least once a trip and have never had bad service or bad food.

Restaurant reviews at WDW are just like restaurant reviews at any place, including chain restaurants like Fridays, Chili's, Olive Garden, etc. in that sometimes they can be good and sometimes they can be bad. I think you should be willing to try either, or both, and then go with what you like.

I like both but probably prefer Mama Melrose's! I know it received mixed reviews from the wonderful people on these boards, but I suppose I always catch it on good days.

I recommend trying Prime Time at least once at some point. Every Disney fan should, because of its uniqueness. But if you consider food quality a top priority, I suggest choosing Mama Melrose's.
