I'm dreaming about a last minute trip for DH, DS1 and myself for 4/30-5/5. I priced it online using the current spring general public promotion and got a price of $2347 for Contemporary Tower Bay Lake View, 5 nights, 4 day base tickets.

Then I called the disney reservations # with my pin code to get that rate. The CM quoted me $2,972 for the EXACT same thing. I read back to her everthing that was included and this is the precise deal that I priced on Disney's website. I asked what the deal was and she said that the price she quoted me is a 40% discount plus a $500 GC. I don't get it. The deal online is still better even after the $500 GC.

So for those of you who are upset about not getting this pin, don't be! You can book using the general public code for much less.

The same thing happen to me. After she quoted me a price with my 40% pin code I went online to compare the price difference. To my surprise a 42.01 dollar amount difference. Where is the 40% discount??????? :confused3

I wasn't sure if it was a deal or not. But when I priced it out, for 2 rooms and park hopping added, for our weeklong trip during Easter week (a few days before and after actually), we are saving a little less than $900 and on top of that we are getting two $500 gc's. So I guess it depends on the dates you are going and such. I am just thrilled because we were planning on going anyway, so this was a bit of icing on our cake!!! AND $1000 to spend celebrating our anniversary and dd's 10th bday is not a bad deal at all!!! PLUS we were able to upgrade to CBR :goodvibes

Now that's awesome! I'm glad that it worked out for you - I suppose you're right that it could just depend on dates and such. Have a magical trip!

I could be wrong but I think the CM told my mother that the 40% off wasn't valid for all dates and all resorts, so it may not have been "good" for your selection-possible there was a limit for each resort and room type (like when there's free dining).

But it sounds like you got a really good deal!! Have a great time!!!!
