$50 One Day, Park-to-Park tickets with Chase rewards

It's possible that someone's already posted this, but just in case...

If you have a Chase Freedom card (or another Chase credit card that uses the "Ultimate Rewards"), you can get Universal/IOA one-day park-to-park tickets for $50 each (adult or child).

You have to get it through the Gift Card section of the Ultimate Rewards website-- NOT the travel section. In the gift card section it's $50, or the SAME tickets bought through the "travel" section of the website are $126 each!

I waited until I actually received the two I ordered in the mail to post as it seems too good to be true. We weren't planning to go to Universal this trip (in December, woohoo!), but when I saw that I couldn't resist. I hope this helps someone else too!

How do you get it for money? I only see how I can get it with rewards points, and I don't have enough.

Thanks for the tip. I have enough points to buy two tickets. I don't see any information on expiration dates. Do the tickets have to be used by a certain date? Right now we are planning a trip in April 2012. However, we may have to put the trip off until August 2012.

Sorry, I should have clarified - you have to buy it with $50 worth of reward points, which is 5,000 points.

I don't see an expiration date on the ones I got. On the Chase website when you get the tickets through the "travel" section, it says "Dates" 2009-01-01 - 2012-12-31" so my best guess is they expire at the end of 2012. I'd e-mail before you buy though just to be sure.

Do you think it would be possible to upgrade these tickets to multi-day once at Universal?

I just received half of our needed tickets this way (4 1day) at this fantastic $50 a day rate. I plan to visit AAA for our our two and the 4 of us will end up with two days admission.

The tickets arrived and I can confirm that there is no expiration date. It is indeed a 1 day PTP. I was shocked at this deal and wonder if it is a website bug since the price is the same for both child and adult tickets.
