$50 Disney GC on sale at my Target

If they are in a different region I really can't imagine them honoring the price. If it was another store ad then they do it, but a regional flyer I can't imagine them doing that.

Good luck though! Every little bit of savings helps!!

I agree, not counting on anything at all, but you never know. Maybe Target will just put them on sale here?? Wouldn't that make it easier :rotfl:

If you can't find these on sale at Target and have a Winn Dixie in your area, check their ad. In mine this week (Tampa Bay), $5 off $50 worth of gift cards is being advertised for Father's Day. It's one deal per transaction, but I had no trouble buying $200 worth of Disney cards this morning at one store. I'll be out for more this afternoon. :thumbsup2 They had quite a selection of cards, too!

No - no tax until you use the gift card to buy stuff. That stuff (merchandise, food, hotel room) will then be taxed.

That's what I thought! :upsidedow Thanks! Too bad our Target doesn't carry them :sad2:

Oh my goodness! So this would be $400 off a $5000 balance? Are you sure they'll take 100 gift cards??? (*IF* I could find that many?) :rotfl:

THis is funny, but... I pay most of my trip with gift cards and used 7 so far. 4 of them were only worth $10! LOL

Where do you buy them? Are you getting discounts on your cards elsewhere? I only wish I could find them on "sale." No luck in our area :sad1:

CatNipRules, we only have one Target in our town. And only one other within at least 100 miles. The person at customer service issued the rain check to the other person earlier in the day, so she told me about him. She gave me a rain check that shows I can purchase the cards at the discounted price prior to the expiration. She told me to call in to see if they have them in stock.

Ahhh, that makes sense. LOL!!

I was kind of thinking that was the case. Sorry about that. I would definitely go in to check though. Cause DH says that sometimes they can't see them in the system. It's not all the time, but on occasion. they might not get scanned correctly or a few other things.

Thank you for this!! :goodvibes

We have 3 targets in my area. Only 1 store had them and the others said they never received any. I bought a couple of them to use for my next trip. When HEB had the $15 off coupon on $100 GCs last month I stocked up.

Yes you can but not park tickets. They only allow 2 forms of payment for all park tickets either online, on phone or in person.

I wanted to add that you can buy park tickets at the Disney Store, I checked at ours, and you can pay with gift cards there.

Great idea! Didn't think of that option! I bought several gift cards with the 5% target red card discount and my 5% prescription reward for our MNSSHP tickets. I was scared for a little bit after talking with several CM's who said their system wouldn't allow for more than 2 payments for park tickets. I finally got someone at the park who was able to do 3 separate transactions for me but only because all the tickets were for adults. If any were under 10 this wouldn't have been possible.

Of course I would've used the gift cards for other things while at Disney, but if I couldn't have used the gift cards I specifically bought for our MNSSHP tix, that would've really put a "kink" in my budget. Glad I found a CM who was resourceful and helpful!

This is so silly... I just found out that they have them 2 1/2 hours away. I am figuring out if it's worth it to drive 5 hours round trip for the 15 dollar savings/per $100... something new to obsess about.

Depends on how many you are buying ;) If you are buying hundreds and hundreds, maybe $1000 worth, it's probably worth it. But you'd want to make sure the store had that many and ask them to hold for you.

Thanks. Now I'm relieved. I've been buying gift cards (at Krogers, through their pump perks) to pay for park tickets. We were going to go to the Disney Store anyway for our tickets.

I agree, it depends on how many you are buying. Figure out how much gas it would take you. That would cost me quite a bit.

I would also call to make sure they had as many as you want to buy. I hate passing up a deal when it is anything Disney, but you have to make sure of certain things.

I guess it would depend on how many you are buying and how much you would save versus how much it would cost you in gas. If after figuring that in, it would still save you a good bit, it might be worth the trip.
