Hello!! This is my very first shot at any type of trip (or pre-trip!) reporting. I get so excited reading everyone else's that I figured I'd try it. I have been to WDW more times than I can count. I am 38, and I have been at least once a year since I was 8...I feel like I grew up there. And now I have a little boy who I am thrilled to share the "magic" with. He is almost 3 and we are planning his 3rd trip. Yes...really. So I'll start with the basics and go from there. And honestly, even though I've been so many times and like to think of myself as an "expert" (lol)...I would LOVE to hear any suggestions or tips anyone has after reading my plans!
The WHO:
Myself - 38 - Single Mom with a full time job...yes I really need this vaca.
Joshua - referred to as "J" - my son - will be 3 in a few weeks...currently obsessed with all things Cars (especially Lightning McQueen)
My mom - "Mimi" - spoiler of the grandson...the king, long time lover of WDW
The WHEN and WHERE:
Checking into a 1 BR Lake View at BLT on 9/11 through 9/17. First stay here and VERY VERY excited about it!!!
The ADRs:
9/11: Chef Mickey - dinner on night of check in
9/13: Hollywood & Vine - lunch, and Mama Melrose - dinner (Fantasmic! Package)
9/14: Tusker House - breakfast
9/15: Cape May Cafe - breakast
9/16: Hollywood & Vine - breakfast (yes...again)
We live in MA and we're taking the auto train. I hate to fly and we love being able to just throw everything into the car...makes the packing (both ways) so much less stressful. We will leave very early in the AM on the 10th and drive to VA (about a 7 hour trip with stops to stretch). The train leaves in the afternoon and we will be in FL early Sunday morning...drive over to BLT and check in! We have travelled this way before and I will get more into that later. I figure we will shower, relax, wander around the resort, and be ready for our date with Chef Mickey at 5 PM. I'm sure we'll all be tired early so we'll get to bed and get ready to take off running to the MK on our first full day!
One thing I have planned is to have one of those 4' Mickey balloons delivered to our room the day we check in for J. He's going to lose his mind...the thing will be taller than he is!
Well I think that's a start anyway...I'm really looking forward to updating this with more details and hearing any and all opinions. If this goes well I'll do an actual trip report after we get back!
Thanks for reading!!
