I posted a thread a few days ago about trying to get 5 people in a hotel room at a value resort and saying we had 4 people, I guess I opened a can of worms. I was discouraged having to pay more money because I have 3 wonderful children. But I was not able to reply before the thread closed. So just to set my reputation, I am a honest person! I already have my room booked at POR, I would not call and change because of course I would not feel comfortable the entire time at the hotel and I know it is not the right thing to do. A couple of my co-workers gave me the suggestion and I was curious so I asked, I love the disboards and get great info from here and this was the best place to ask. But having my morals in place, I know better than to break the rules!!!!! Thanks for your support Auntie!!!

I was part of that thread; don't worry about it.

Some topics here are real hot button ones; you happened to hit upon one of them (pool hopping and pulling your kids out of school are also on the list.)

Having gotten the info you wanted (and a whole lot more) use the Dis to find out more of what you want.

I just started a thread that may help: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715551

Also, there are 5 of us as well and I've learned a LOT here. Let me know what else I can share with you. I'm a teacher and just love sharing what I've learned!!!

Hi

I was watching that thread... we have 5 kids!

Don't worry about it, stick around and you'll see that subject comes up all the time... and gets the same type of responses each time, too. Other hot topics include, but are not limited to, using child counter service dining credits to purchase an adult meal and percentage tipped at a buffet style restaurant. :scared1:

I do feel Disney's options for families with more than the standard 2.3 children are lacking.

Yep, once it hit 2.4, it's a whole different ballgame.:rotfl:

Don't worry about it. We are a family of 5 also, and it does get discouraging sometimes that we have so few options. However, our family loves POR and I can't wait to get back there. Have a great trip.

You're right, we could start a thread about what not to start a thread about...

  • Children on shoulders at parades...
  • Giving up your bus seat to a mother carrying breast-feeding twins, while balancing a double stroller...
would be on it too.
