5 or 6 day pass? :(

I'm trying to do a 8 day trip on a budget, and I'm not sure whether to buy 5 or 6 day PHP tickets. At first I had decided on the 5 day ones, they're around 30 dollars less on hotwire. Then I thought, I'm going to have 3 days left that I can't go to a park, and what if I end up wanting to go.

I know pluses include water parks, but that isn't going to last me the entire day. Should I feel better about my budget and go for 5 days and use the left over cash for vouchers, or just to heck with it and buy the 6 day passes?

If you're going to buy the 6-day PHP, might as well get the 7-day PHP for not much more per person.

Isn't the 7 day around $303? On the first and last day, we're probably not gonna go to the parks, so I don't think a 7 is even something to think about. Although I'd love to get a 7 and stay for 9 days ; )

I don't know the price off hand...but since the tickets never expire, it's the cheapest per-day admission you'll find in a hopper pass.

If you have kids, combine a water park visit in the morning with a trip to Ft. Wilderness in the afternoon/evening. Petting zoo, pony rides, and good value at the Trail's End Cafe. If you don't have kids, water park + mini golf is another way to spend the day. Or, you could tour some of the resorts (especially Animal Kingdom Lodge), take a "boat tour" of Bay Lake, the list goes on.

For me, I definitely can stand a break in the middle of a week-long trip---makes the later days less of an endurance race and more fun.

Finally, if you expect to go back to WDW ever again, and you can afford to do so, it seems to me to *always* be a good idea to buy a 7-day PHP, no matter how long you'll be there. It has the lowest "per-day" cost of any media out there, the days never expire, and ticket prices typically rise faster than inflation. With the lower per-day cost and the expected future value of the tickets, it's a pretty good move unless you go several years or more between visits.

We bought a 7-day PHP just for this reason. We only plan to use 4 days and 1 plus during our next visit and save the rest for a future trip. :D

We are going for 8 days and bought a 6 day pass. Thought about the 7, but all in all when we go again we are going to need more then one day and I would rather not hold onto the ticket for 6-12 months until our next visit for just one day, i would lose it im sure!

I'm not very good at holding onto things myself, and lord only knows when the next time I will be going is anyway. I've decided to just stick with a 6 day, cause i doubt I'm doing parks on my arrival day and my departure day.
