I will enter these one at a time and then do a price breakdown at the end. We were on the Deluxe dinning plan.

So are we ready???

I'll be very excited to see your price breakdown! I've thought to myself several times that I'm not sure I would get my value from this plan. Looking forward to your reviews.
Diane

10/23 - We arrived at CBR around 10:30 and we had been up since 4 AM. We were ready for some lunch because we had not had time to eat at the airport.

Our orders -
ME - Buffalo Chicken Sandwich $6.49, Key Lime Pie 3.49
DS - Cheeseburger $5.89, Cheesecake 3.49
DS-9 Individual Cheese Pizza $5.99
DS-5 Individual Pepperoni Pizza $6.09

Drinks- 2 waters, 2 apple juice boxes

also with the plan 4 Souvenir Mug - Unlimited Length of Stay Refills at Caribbean Beach Resort $12.49 + tax

Not sure how much the drinks would have been so I am counting 1.00 for the juice boxes and 2 for the water.

Total price - 87.40 (+ tax)

We did not care for this meal. I guess it met our expectations and it was ok, but that was it. Just ok. It is what you would expect from counter service type meals. We did find that the people here did not know how to work the Deluxe Dining Plan. But it was fine. We had more than enough food.

The set up of this food court is very different and everything seems to move slow. I was slightly frustraited because I had originally waited in line and order a cheesesteak at the deli. Well, after waiting for about 10 min. They come out and tell me the flat top is broken so no cheesesteak. I go on to order the buffalo chicken sandwich at a different section and then I notice someone walking away from the deli with a cheesesteak.

All in all it was OK.

10/23 Dinner 7:15 ADR

We timed this reservation to see if we could get a patio table at Rose and Crown and watch Illuminations. It was a little overcast so I was not sure if the patio would be open.

We arrive and tell them what we would like and they give the standard answer that they will try.

When we were seated we had the upper patio. I was slightly disappointed because DH and I had been in 05 and had the lower patio and loved it so much. But... we were still on the patio with a view so I got over myself very quickly. Then it started to rain so I was quite happy I was on the upper patio which was covered and had protection from the rain. So we were in the PERFECT spot! Goes to show you that just because you do not get what you think you want does not mean you did not get soemthing good!

We had a wonderful waiter named David!

ME - Potato and Leek Soup - Bowl: $5.49
Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chips - Battered fresh
Cod served with English Chips $15.99
Sticky Toffee Pudding $4.99
Coke - 2.00 (can not find the price for this, but I am
sure it is at least 2.00 - more than likely more)

DH - Smoked Scottish Salmon - served on a crispy Potato
Cake with Dill Aioli $8.99
Herb-roasted Lamb - with Irish cheddar potato gratin
and Guinness Barbeque Sauce $22.99
Warm Apple Crumble - topped with ice cream $5.49
Cherry Coke - 2.00

DS-9 Kids Meal with Fish - It is not on the menu, but he
offered and and my DS loves fish! This came with
Potato Leak soup in a cup and an icecream sundae
7.59 (their drinks were included)

DS-5 Kids Meal with Cheese Pizza, fruit Salad and
Icecream Sundae 7.59

DH said this was a close tie for his favorite meal during the trip! He loved everything! The salmon for him was wonderful, but that lamb.. he talked and talked about it so it must have been good!

For me it was good. I love the soup. The fish were good, but there was so much! It was not my favorite meal, but it was not bad at all. Very good food, very good service. You really can not ask for more.

Both of the boys ate well, so there was no problem from them at all.

The cool thing that happened - The rain stopped in time for illuminations and we were on that upper patio. NO one was on the lower paito. They came over and told the boys that Mickey was stuck on the monorail and would not make it in time to start the fireworks. They asked if the boys could get them started. The took the boys on the lower patio and gave them one of the mickey flashligh lightsaber looking things and they were about to "conduct the fireworks" It was pretty cool! My youngest still thinks it was his wishing power that opened the earth.

Total Cost 91.70 - this includes tax because I actually remembered to write this down on our final bill.

Just a side note on kids meals.

I was very disappointed in looking over the menus prior to our trip to see the lack of options for the kids. Well, MOST of the returants do provide other options and if they do not tell you up front just ask. We never had a problem getting other things for our kids if they wanted it!

Can't wait to read more. We'll be visiting some of these in two weeks!

We are going with 2 kids in January, for dinners do most places offer spaghetti, pizza, chicken nuggets/strips and mac and cheese? If these items are on the menu I will have a much easier time ;)

Pizza and Mac and Cheese was just about everywhere. We did not see any spaghetti or chicken nuggets, but we did have nuggets offered at one place. If you do not see anything that your child wants just ask if they have other options.

10/24

We planned to go to DHS this day. It was a little rainy, but not too bad at all.

We opted for a quick breakfast at CBR

ME - Croissant Sandwich with cheese and bacon $5.99
Hot Chocolate -1.50
Chocolate Milk -2.50
DH - Croissant Sandwich with cheese and bacon $5.99
Coffee 1.50
Chocolate Milk 2.50
DS9-Mickey Waffles with bacon or sausage $4.09
DS5-Mickey Waffles with bacon or sausage $4.09
the boys drinks came with their meal

We did not like this breakfast at all. Not only was the service VERY slow (only one person working the counter and the back) the food was luke warm at best. We knew we would not eat breakfast here again during the trip.

Here, the adult can have 2 drinks and one entree with their duluxe dining plan. I had to go back to get my second drink because at first we were not allowed to have it. My DH had gone through the line with my oldest son and they let him have it no problems.

Total 28.16 (+tax)

I would look at other breakfast options if possible!

10/24 - Lunch

We were excited about going to Sci-Fi for Lunch because we knew the boys would love this place. We had read the reviews and figured there would be something that we liked. Our expectations were low as far as the food quality and that was good! Had we gone in expecting the best food we would have been really disappointed!

We arrived in time for our 11:30 ADR and did not have to wait long at all. We were seated in a car towards the back of the room. NOT a problem at all. You can see well from most of the cars. It took a long time for our waiter to get to us, but when he did we felt very rushed. He wanted our entire order right then and did not really try to answer any questions.

ME - Mixed Greens - With diced tomatoes and onion tossed with ranch dressing $5.49

Smoked Turkey Sandwich - Smoked turkey, crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato with an avocado mayonnaise on multigrain bread. Served with cucumber-melon salad $11.99

Hot Fudge Sundae - vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry $4.99
Coca Cola® Products $ 2.19

DH - Spinach and Artichoke Dip - A blend of Monterey Jack, swiss, and asiago with spinach, artichokes, and corn tortilla chips $6.99

Angus Chuck Burger - Flame-broiled beef patty topped with cheddar or swiss cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms and crispy bacon. Served with a choice of cucumber-melon salad or french fries $11.99

Milk Shakes - Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or oreo cookie ice cream $4.29
Coca Cola® Products $ 2.19

DS9 -Kids' Picks

Choice of 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert - $7.59
He had tomato soup, Cheeseburger and strawberry milkshake

DH5- Pizza with mozzarella and diced chicken (optional) served with veggies and brown sugar apples $7.59
He had the pizza, fruit and Icecream sundae

Drinks were included with the boys meal.

The food simply was not good. The salad was just your plan average house salad. The dip my DH ordered tastes as if it had been sitting a little too long and was not warm. The burgers was OK at best. My turkey sandwich was fine. Nothing was great or even good. It was just there. Now dessert.. well that was good! In the end it was OK.

Total - 65.30 (+tax)

**also I wanted to point out that the waiter constantly reminded us that tip was no longer included. I understand that this has more than likely been a problem and it does not bother me to be reminded that it is not inlcuded, but this was way overboard. He told us at least 10 times during the meal. He even complained to us that the car next to us did not tip. This was the only place we experienced this. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

10/24 Dinner Raglan Road

We arrived a bit early for this one, but we were seated promptly.

ME -Scallop Forest - forks of scallops served with a lime dipping sauce $12.95 (My DS9 really wanted some scallops so my DH and I ordered this as our app. Because it is for two we both had to order this for it to be on the DxDP. We were fine with it because we had not finished a meal yet!)

Serious Sirloin Steak - 10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey glazed, drizzled with gresh basil oil. Served with mashed potatoes and topped with crispy fried onion strings $23.95

Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding - $7.99
Coke - 2.19

DH - Shared the app with me
Salmon of Knowledge - fresh salmon fillet topped with smoked salmon, baked and served with a maple glaze. $22.95

DS5- Macaroni Cheese - Macaroni pasta and Dubliner cheese $6.50
Chocookberry - chocolate and vanilla ice cream with chocoloate chip cookies layered in chocolate sauce and sprinkled with raspberries $5.00
Sprite - 2.00

I really enjoyed my food here. Everything was prepared well and very tasty. I did not think I would like bread pudding, but OH MY if I can get my hands on this recipe... It was my favorite dessert in all of WDW!

My DS9 was not feeling well, I think he was tired, he did not appear sick, but he did like his fish. He just did not eat much.

DH liked his said it was yummy! He did not like the coconut in the Dunbury Kiss. He said he would have perfered it without the coconut. It was much lighter than he expected.

We loved the resturant!

I did notice that people who were not on the dining plan did get to see a board the waitress pulled out that appeared to have other specials on it. I was curious to know what was on that board but could never see it when they pulled it out. I was not concerned about this because with the selection that they have on their menu there is bound to be something that will be liked by all.

Total 110.21 (+ tip)

10/25 Breakfast Donald's Safari Breakfast

We really enjoyed this breakfast. My boys have NEVER been into the characters. They do not get autographs, they will hardly wave as we walk by them, but I scheduled this one because I wanted to get into animal kingdom early. I know selfish!!!

Anyway.. we arrived at Animal Kingdom and it was raining. Not just a little rain ... a lot of rain. So the four of us headed through the gate at 8:00 for our 8:05 ADR at Tusker House in our wonderfully fitting ponchos.

The walk was not a pleasant one and I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would not be raining when we finished breakfast.

They took our picture as we went in.. which to be honest I do not really get. I mean from the picture they take you can not really tell it is anything special. The back drop was just the side of the building. We opted not to buy the pic. It was not that great anyway with our wet hair.

We were ushered into a room and told to go for it and to hurry before the characters come in. We enjoyed the choices here and everything was good. My only wish would have been to get refills a little quicker on juice, but it was not that bad.

Charater interaction was good and my boys enjoyed it. They did not want to take more than one picture when they were at our table. I did manage to get three pics with Mickey. Since we were not having autograph books signed it did not take long at all.

It was a happy meal and I loved the unusual choices you could find if you looked hard enough. :)

COST: $18.99 (10+) and $10.99 (3-9)

Total - 59.96 (+ tax)

Lunch 10/25

OK the boys wanted to ride EE AGAIN.... I did not want flame tree for lunch and there was no talking DH out of it for himself - So I decided they could go ride EE and I would get counter service at Yak and Yetti...

I made the best decision...

It just smelled so good to me!!!

After debating for a good bit I settled on

Crispy Honey Chicken $8.99
Frozen Lemonade $2.99
Coke $2.39

OH MY it was so good! I loved every bit of it and when the boys got off of EE they tasted it and loved it as well!!!

Flame Tree
the rest of the fam went to flame tree and I just went along for the ride.. not eating anything of course!

DH -1/2 Slab of St. Louis Ribs served with baked beans and corn muffin - $10.49
Key Lime Pie - $3.59
Iced Tea $2.39

DS9- Baked Chicken Drumstick $4.49

DS5- Baked Chicken Drumstick $4.49

I was pleased with the kids meal here! And both of the boys ate it up!!! Everyone was very happy with their food, but I have to say we will plan a table service at Yak and Yetti next time!!!!

Total 39.82 (+tax)

I just realized I posted Raglan Road on the 24th for dinner. It was actually on the 25 and Whispering Canyon was on the 24. So I will do Whispering Canyon now.

I got a little busy and have not been posting like I should. I will try to post several today.

We arrived at Wilderness Lodge by boat and went straight to the resturant. I signed in and then we roamed the lobby. I love this resort!!!

We were seated and right away we loved the feel of this place. It was fun. Now if you are tired and cranky this is NOT the place to be. You need to go in knowing that it is loud, but it is fun!

Me- Western Chips and Dip - Homemade Corn Torilla Chips with a bowl of freshly made salsa and queso dip $8.49
I wanted the prime rib, but it was not on the menu. I order a steak instead it It came with mashed potatoes and veggies 21.99
S'more Cheesecake - New York style cheesecake on a graham cracker crust topped with chocolate ganache and marshmallows $5.49
For drink I got a smoothy - 3.49

DH - Fried Chicken Wings - sweet chili glaze $8.49
St. Louis-style Ribs - cowboy beans, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables; Half Rack $20.99
S'more Cheesecake - New York style cheesecake on a graham cracker crust topped with chocolate ganache and marshmallows $5.49

DS9- Grilled Fish of the Day - served with whole-grain pilaf, veggies, and yogurt parfait $7.59
Came with the drink and he ordered a smoothy

DS5- Mac n chees also came with watermelon and fries and a drink. He ordered a milkshake $7.59

I liked the my app. Actually everyone at my table liked my app. DH did not care for his because it was so spicy! I LOVED his. So if you can handle the spice I say go for the wings!

My steak was ok... a little tough. Not really a good cut of mean. DH liked his meal. Said it was good. They boys were both happy.

We actually took desert back to the resort. We just were too full to eat it. To be honest we never did eat it. I hate that it went to waste!

Total 92.00 (+tip)
