Looks like it may be 5 for our trip in Aug. I really like the location of the Dolphin and I believe they accomodate 5, but not a big fan of the roll-away bed. Do they roll it away every day? I know it really cramps the space. As for PO, I know my DS-8 can do the trundle bed, but not as convenient a location. Costs with discounts are approx. the same. Any thoughts?

I would definetly do the Dolphin!!! Location can't be beat!! The boat transportation is wonderful!! It's such a beautiful hotel and your 8 yr old will LOVE the pool!!!:)

I too would do the Dolphin in a heartbeat. Deluxe accomodations vs moderate hotel as far as amenities are concerned and absolutely a great and convenient location!

We did 2 double beds and brought an aerobed twin (air mattress) for our
3 1/2 yr old dd. It fit fine in the room, just shifted the desk over infront of the window. I didn' think it was too crammed. We even extended a sheet from the amoire to the curtain to tent her in.

We've stayed at the Dolphin twice with a rollaway bed, and IMHO that it fits snugly into a corner without compromising room space. No, you don't roll it away every day, but the room are much larger than PO, so it fits into a corner of the room nicely.

The one and only reason I would choose PO over Dolphin if I had young kids and on a tight budget may be the food courts, but if you have the Disney Club, there is a 20% discount on all dining at the S/D. The location is pristine, bus and boat transportation can't be beat (or you can walk to Epcot and MGM). Check out my thread "Home From the Dolphin-A perfect 10"..we stayed there April vacation....that says it all about this resort (not to mention all of the other positive threads on the Dolphin). Good luck with your decision!

I think you would be more comfortable at PO. While I understand your location points, the Dolphin guestrooms are not at all HUGE, and the rollaway bed, after it has been serviced is able to stand upright in the corner of the room. But still is a tight fit.

PO also has a food court with more reasonable pricing. The food at the Dolphin, even at the cafeteria "Tubbi's" is outrageously priced.

Either resort, your sure to have a great time!

Enjoy your planning!

PS: I believe you also have 2 sinks at PO, with only 1 sink at the Dolphin. May help get everyone out quicker in the morning!
