Are all the burgers using these buns? I rarely get a hamburger at WDW so I'm not aware of the bun situation....
HOP one of my favorite attractions.
All counter services burgers/hot dogs/chicken burgers ect. are using these buns. Unless it's a special sandwich it probably comes on these carpy buns.
Nice update! Liberty Square is my favorite land in all of MK. Definitely want to spend some time finding the same little details you did- the gun, the lanterns, etc....
Pecos is my favorite CS place too. But why, oh why, can't Disney just pony up with better buns? Of all things, they cheapest thing on the plate, and they can't spend 2 extra cents upgrading to something better than sawdust shavings melded together with corn syrup. GAG!
I am really looking forward to catching the HoP next time to check out the newest upgrades. We sat too far back last time, so didn't catch a lot of the details.
I bet these buns are the same price....I think it's for the appearance of being healthy....how un-bleached wheat is more healthy I don't know. I have a feeling that the person or committee that ruined the kids meals is responsible for the sawdust buns.
I love all the pics. I can't wait to see HOP on my next trip. I've missed it the past few trips due to lack of time, but I want to make a point of visiting this year to see Obama and all the changes.
Can't wait to hear about the Dis meets!
I believe shows start every 20 minutes!
a new nickname
speaking of my other nickname...we were on acouples only weekend in MI this weekend past and were playing this get to know you kind of question game, and what question was, what Nickname to you have or wish you had?
and I wrote down Scrappie-Do...I tried explaining the whole misinterpreted mouseScrapper name....but I guess my non Disney "freak" friends just didn't get the laughter
I too can't wait to see the new HOP....
DH and I were chatting about our anni trip during the car ride up and I was telling him about your TR and the food fest at Epcot...now DH thinks he wants to go during this time of the year instead of early spring. I'd love the crossover for MNSSHP too....
what were your dates again? Oct _ to _?
TIA,
TV Star Julie hehehe
No they don't get it do they...
Sept 30 to October 4. IMO F&W should be explored mid-week as much as possible....weekends are crazy busy.
I swear, I took that same balloon picture in your second to last installment.
Thanks for taking those shots in Liberty Square! You know, I always intend to look for those little details, and I totally forget. Again, selling me on the idea of a solo trip. All the time to stop and admire the little things. Wonderful!![]()
I think I have more balloons pictures from other day.
That's the thing about a solo trip....you more at the speed of light so you have time to look for all those little things.
I agree about the new HOP. It's a must see.
The burger looks yummy! Did the bun fall apart? I've noticed that some of the buns fall apart at Disney. They need a new bread vendor.
Every "new" bun that I have had has fallen apart. (it is legal to write "have had has" in a sentence....my gammar is that of a 4 year old.)
I admit I didn't know this one. Had to Google it.
Found this interesting information at MousePlanet:
The Original Dick Nunis Gym
Turkish Baths – Massage Parlor
24 Hour Service
Supervisor Dick Nunis
Night Manager Ron Miller
Masseur O. Ferrante
D. Miller – Turkish Baths.”
Orlando Ferrante was Vice President of MAPO for WED/WDI, and oversaw ride and show production & installation for WDW, Tokyo Disneyland and Euro Disneyland.

Thanks for the article! Now it makes sense why it was O. Ferrante instead of a full first name. They probably didn't want to confuse the storyland with ORLANDO on a window.

So I have to tell you guys this story from the weekend. On Saturday we went to my godson's 5th birthday party. At one point all 4 "mothers" were in the kitchen and the conversation turns to Walt Disney World. You all know that WDW vacation travel is a hobby of mine like it is for many of you. My friend went once in high school, mother #3 just went this past Sept with her family and mother #4 has never been to WDW. Well mother #4 decides that she is going to school us in this subject. 80% of what was coming out of her mouth wasn't factual and I made no comment on 95% of it. But I really hate mis-information to be passed around as fact wheather it's about health care reform or WDW vacations. I thought we were discussing this topic so I tried to clear up that "No everything at Disney World is not 50% off right now". She argued that yes it is because she has a friend that goes all the time and she told her that it was. But we really were not having a conversation, she was telling us everything she thought she knew in regard to WDW even thou it was clear as day that me and mother #3 knew more then she did. Her schooling of us continued as I bit my tounge until she said that she wanted to stay at the Disney resort where you could walk to all the parks. After trying to explain that WDW travel was a hobby of mine and I was well versed in the subject; I tried in vain to explain that there were only a few resorts in walking distance to a park and not even to all the parks. She cut me off from what I was explaining and basically verbally b%&^$'d slapped me. This woman has no class and was so rude and out of line I was speechless. Talk about being embrassed in front of people I don't know. And to top it off my friend never even bothered to say anything to me about it. I probably didn't explain the story very well and in the end it wasn't about the topic but I couldn't believe that someone at a children's birthday party would be so rude to me. Thanks for letting me vent!
