5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer! Done! Finished! Completed!!

I read two books in 5 days.

The Disney Visa discount is now good at all Disney owned shops, even in the parks. Still the $50 min. and you have to ask for it.

Oh that sounds lovely! I'll get 4 read. two on the plane there....two on the plane back...

:rotfl:

ALL the Disney owned shops! Must make note of that!!!!!!:cool1:

The bread on the sandwich does look a bit thick. Do you have a choice of breads? Or is that the one that comes with it?
No choice of breads....it comes out of the fridge pre-made :scared1:

I love, love your photos from the UK pavilion at Epcot...haven't spent as much time there recently...really makes me want to head there now...:goodvibes
I get the same way when I see pictures of WDW....I'll see something and be like "Oh I need to explore that ....Now!"

Reading in bed. . .only one of the most heavenly things there are. Believe me, I'm writing down things you did and making sure I take time myself to do them.

There could be a more heavenly place to read....hopefully I'll get to that part of the story before you leave.

Your breakfast looks absolutely delish! I never think about heading to Downtown Disney in the morning... I may have to try that! Sorry you didn't like the Pina Colava. Can't wait to see and hear about the Halloween party. Boo to you!! pirate:

For the last few trips I've gone shopping at DTD in the morning but this was the first time having breakfast there. I only wish at WPE opened at 800 or 830am. I was a little late to start shopping because there was no way I wasn't finishing my breakfast.

Yay for not fainting on the plane! Thanks!

I love ASMu for a value resort. Yes POP is more fun and the food court is better.... but ASMu is so quiet! Its my fave for adult only trips!
You are right it is pretty quiet there for a Value.

I can't believe how much you got to sample at F&W!! I don't think we did nearly as well! I LOVED the Dorothea too...yum yum! Paula

I think I'm going to see if I can find Dorothea on the web to buy some for the holidays

The breakfast pizza looked fantastic. Thanks so much for the UP picture !!

Sorry you didn't like the Pina Colava, maybe he didn't make it right :confused3, I have had some good ones.

I can't wait to see more pictures. It sounds like you were having a good time!

Maybe you're right about the Pina Colava not being made right...but now I'll be afraid to try one again for the $8+ they cost.

Hi Heidi!! I thought I had already posted a reply... I guess not! I must have read your update on my phone sitting at school pickup or one of the kids' activities. :confused3 I haven't mastered the reply feature on my phone - I've lost things too many times so I don't bother anymore.

Anyway - Sounds like an awesome morning at DTD - I can't wait to see your souvenir pictures. Also anxiously waiting to find out which mug you picked up. ;)

No worries about not posting. I do a lot of my DIS reading while I'm feeding Danica so I can't type. Then I forget to go back a make comments....I'm turing into a lurker!

I picked the Mary Poppins one!

9:30am opening? wow! that's good info. will have to remember that for the next trip. Seems so much better to get there earlier when it's not as busy.

And I'm thinking that Mondays - Wednesdays would be better too.

Thanks so much for the info. I can use it, for sure!!
:goodvibes
caught up thru Day 2)....

:worship: you are a shopping goddess! I can not wait to see the loot pictures...how did you get it all home? unless it was just a few expensive items :confused3

Scrappie-Do
I packed a luggage duffle bag inside my big suitcase for the flight down. Plus I packed the breakables in my Croc bag as a carry-on for the flight home. I have it down to a science.

Oh that sounds lovely! I'll get 4 read. two on the plane there....two on the plane back...

:rotfl:
You must have some LONG flights!

10/01/09 Thursday late afternoon......

After a little rest in my room I headed to MK for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

100409091.jpg

I must have gotten there right at 4pm because the time stamp from The Chapeau Hat shop indicates that I bought my pumpkin Mickey ears at 4:06. BYT…I get the traditional lettering for my name on the back. If they don’t do it my hand anymore then at least it can be the old lettering. Hrrfftp!

100409092.jpg

Party line phone in the back room of the hat shop. It wasn’t working that night.

One of several places to play checkers at the MK.

Hello my Sweets!

100409096.jpg

It was about here that I noticed that the batteries in my camera were dying. So I switched them out to “new” ones. Turns out that my re-chargeable batteries weren’t recharged. I had “lost” the re-charger somewhere in the house and I bought a new cheaper one for the vacation. Well I guess it doesn’t work real well. I ended up buying a 4pk of AA’s when I got to Tomorrowland ($5.86 if you were curious).

Shots of Main Street.

I was headed for my beloved COP. I love this attraction. Rover is in my top 3 Disney characters :) Guess what attraction was a walk on? Yup….got me some mojo!

Great photos of Main Street. I never noticed the Turkish Baths or Massage Parlors on the second floor of the Main Street buildings. Love the festive fall decor.

Fantastic pictures of Main Street! For a street I've spent a considerable amount of time on, you captured some shots I've never seen. Not sure I've ever been in the Chapeau or seen the phone; definitely never seen checkers and never seen the grate/sidewalk detail proclaiming it Main Street USA. What a great eye you have!

I :lovestruc Carousel of Progress. Would you believe I didn't see it at all this past trip? :scared:

hello!

I finally have had a chance to read through your PTR/TR! Its been great. I can also relate, as so many others can, about needing ME time. It is hard to come by for me as well! :worship: LOVE  the daily cards!! :) I may have to borrow that idea as well.:rolleyes1

Love all the photos, especially the ones of Main Street. Looking forward to seeing and reading your thoughts on MNSSHP as we are planning on going next year. Also looking at seeing all of the great purchases you made!!

Until next time...popcorn::

Your Main Street pictures are making me homesick. So pretty. I can almost hear the music and smell the cookies. :cloud9:

I love that Rover is in your top 3 of favorite characters! :rotfl2:

And I very much look forward to your loot post after you spent over $400 (yes, I pulled out a calculator. I'm a geek) at DTD! :scared1: :rotfl: That sounds like a very, very fun shopping trip!

Thanks for the picture of the Plaza Restaurant. Where exactly is it? I think I can picture it....

I wonder if people slow down long enough to play a whole game of checkers...

I just love your "not so common" shots of everywhere! They are GRATE!!!;)

Super idea to keep receipts to keep track of times, too.

I was actually thinking of adding a Plaza meal, just for a sit down and service! Going to see the menu now.

Ok, I"m back, everything looks great; boy howdy!!!!! Gosh, I love me a Reuben, with loads of Kraut!!! Hmmm... will this one end up on Rations Drop- Part Deux??

CoP.. Ahhhh... love me some spin over there! I find myself humming that tune almost everyday.

First time I noticed them too. I don't know the back story who they are for.

Beautiful pictures of Main Street with all its Halloween finery!!!
Thank you!

Thanks! The phone used to be in the candy store up until a couple years ago. It's a tradition dating back to 1984 that I always get my ears at the Chapeau Shop.

Those pics of Main Street are wonderful! You got some beautiful shots.
Thank you. I could only shoot one side of the street because of the sun.

Welcome! Those cards worked out really well. I think I have finally found the perfect method for me when it comes to touring plans. If you make some for yourself I suggest printing them on heavy paper...easier to read and mark on.

Your Main Street pictures are making me homesick. So pretty. I can almost hear the music and smell the cookies. :cloud9:

Ugh! I didn't what to know how much :rotfl2: And don't forget that I shopped at Epcot the day before. Thankfully I took it easier the next couple days.

Thanks for the picture of the Plaza Restaurant. Where exactly is it? I think I can picture it....

I wonder if people slow down long enough to play a whole game of checkers...

If you are walking down Main Street towards the castle, at the end if you take a right the ice cream parlor is on the corner. The Plaza Rest. is the next building. If you need going you will walk thru the Toworrowland Noodle Station.

One day I would love to play a game of checkers there!

I just love your "not so common" shots of everywhere! They are GRATE!!!;) Nice Pun

Super idea to keep receipts to keep track of times, too. Really helps me with the TR....since I can't seem to take notes past the first day.

CoP.. Ahhhh... love me some spin over there! I find myself humming that tune almost everyday.
It's a great big beautiful tomorrow! I always sing along during the show.

Great update! You take really good pics!

Can't wait for more!

Thanks. I have a ton more pictures from this day.

Hi
Don't know if I've posted on your TR yet, but I've read the whole thing.
Love your pictures you do a great job of taking artistic shots and not the usual tourist shot.

I know who two of the people on the Mian St windows are.
Dick Nunis is the former chairman of Walt Disney World attractions.
Ron Miller was Walt's son in law and former President and CEO of the
Walt Disney Comapny. I can't read the third name on the window.

Can't wait to see your MNSSHP pictures.

Heidi,

I love all the pictures :thumbsup2 the orange and yello banners and all the pumpkins are so fun to see! I just read about Triple P's lunch at the Plaza on her TR....;)

I want to try out the party phone too...I told Aldine all about that, I hope it works sometime when we are there.

Scrappie-Do

So what does the party phone do when it is working?? I'm sure you've probably mentioned it before, but I don't remember... :confused3

What do you do with all your MM ears?
