Well it took me longer than I had planned/hoped but I finally talked DW into another trip back to the World. Somehow she has convinced herself that she doesn't like going to Disney but I distinctly remember he ALWAYS having a great time when we go! Anyway I finally just left it up to DS 8 and DS 5 to convince her...with absolutely no prodding from me....honestly.....
The final thing it took to convince her was the booking codes for a fall trip and me agreeing (reluctantly) to do the Deluxe Dining plan (more on that on the Dining board when I get to it...). Once she had committed to going I immediately made sure both DS's knew so there was no way she could back out (not that she would at this point). All we had to do was decide where to stay....DW really wanted to stay at least a moderate hotel, I threw out AKL but made it clear we weren't doing AKL and DxDP. So we picked out POFQ with a 3 night stay. Just to hedge my bets I checked on Pop for a 4 night stay..... I let her mull it over for a few days and she finally saw it my way! So I get to take an extra day off work
meaning I'm gonna be sick that Friday...I feel it coming on now....a case of gotta-get-to-disney-now

The last thing to do was decide on whether or not to Park Hop. Personally I like the freedom of being able to go wherever and particularly being able to avoid the morning/evening crowds but I also was trying to save at least a little bit of money so we could afford to do DxDP. I thought it over and figured it was going to be November we wouldn't be as inclined to head back to the hotel (another reason we chose Pop over POFQ) in the middle of the day and then back to a different park in the evening/night. What I decided that since we are going to be on DxDP and we'd be spending a good bit of time on our keisters stuffing our faces that would be our downtime each day. Sure, it's gonna mean l-o-n-g days at the park but I am looking forward to slowing down a bit and getting DS 5 and 8 to see some of the non-ride things at Disney too.
Anyway so now that the easy decisions were made we had to decide where to eat. That was quite the process in and of itself and you'll have to see the Pre-Trip Dining report for that.
So....can we do it? Can we do DxDP without Park Hopping? I think so. As plans progress I'll keep everyone updated. In the meantime- what are your thoughts? We're going the first weekend in November. I'm somewhat worried about crowds leftover from Halloween as well as the start of Jersey week. Should I be?
