5/7 - Disney Res down when calling - all but tickets back as of 10:45a ET

Was able to make online reservations today, but when I called at 7 a.m. they said systems down. Would someone please post when they are successful on phone today? Thanks
 
FYI - still down. Rumor is it also in the parks. Lots of updates per the CMs. Last CM update (always super reliable...) is lunch availability. We'll see if it is true.
 
:sad2::sad2: It still amazes me how often this happens and how Disney just continues to let it happen without a major IT overhaul
 
I'm trying to book a dinner for a party of 15 and have been calling all morning. I can't do it online because it wants me to add people from my friends & family list. The people we are eating with aren't on that list (some haven't booked their resorts yet), so I can't book online. Very frustrating.

You don't have to add your party to an adr (and you can add people to mde before they book)

You don't have to add any of those. Just the lead guest.
 
Try the app, I just made a booking and it didn't even ask for me to fill in my party

I tried that but the restaurant we want doesn't show as an option there (Hoop Dee Do). It only shows up online.

I'm thinking maybe I have to choose from my friends & family list because it's prepaid?

Possibly to ensure you are charged the correct amount.

ETA: the app just popped up with a message that dining reservations are down right now.

@holden you can also make them accounts and then invite them to connect. You still have to pay for them with the reservation at HDD though...
 
Everything but ticket booking is open. Maybe they're working on the holiday hard ticket events.....
 
Thanks for your help everyone! I was able to call and book but the rep said only category 1 was available. We wanted 2 (don't want to sit close to the stage), but I booked 1 anyway.

I wonder if your dates overlap free dining where it is 2 credits for cat 2, cat 1 is OOP. We don't have free dining (not avail our dates), so not a problem. Or, maybe you booked the same day we did for 13 people and they ran out of room!!!
