5/7/05 Western, Best trip ever!

We had the best vacation we have ever taken!

Were you in Cozumel on Wednesday? I saw a Disney ship but wasn't sure which one it was. We also went to Chakanaub park, we were on the Carnival Glory.

Great trip report, thanks for the tips especially the one about bringing ziplocks and having sandwiches made for you to take on excursions. Would have never thought of that.

With regards to Budget, we plan on using them. Would you recommend taking a taxi to get to the Budget Port Office? Just thinking if I took that instead of the budget shuttle, I'd have a better chance at avoiding lines.

Kabuki, if you're not in too big of a hurry, you could do the shuttle. Check out the line and if there aren't too many people in front of you, you should be O.K. If you're in a hurry, do the taxi. We had 2 groups in front of us. The first shuttle left with the older gentleman driver. The second shuttle left with another driver. The other driver beat the older gentleman back and took us to Budget. The line started to get a little long behind us. We were off the ship by 8:30 and at the Budget office by 9:00. Hope that helps.

Great trip report....agree with "not enough time at CC" that's one reason why we booked Thanksgiving Western again.....2 days at CC. Sorry to hear GC is STILL hurricane avaged.....rumors have it the DCL is trying to find another port.....hopefully before our 05 Turkeyday sailing....

Do you know how far approx. it is from ship to budget office? And are there taxi's waiting or do you have to call in advance?
