Sherrie, You are doing a wonderful job of keeping all this up to date.
I finished my shopping today for the FE gifts. The suitcases are ready to be packed and we are ready to get this party started. We are arriving on May 25th. We received word a few days ago that the bus will pick us up at POP to go to the port. Anyone know if we will be putting our lugage out the night before at POP. Never left from there before always from Dixie Landing(Port Orleans/Riverside) Also received two credits today from the cruise line on our bank statement. For the grand total of $4.82..anyone else. No explanation just posted as a credit.

Both my boys are CRAZY into Star Wars. For Easter all they wanted was lightsabers...because nothing celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ like a WEAPON!! So being the great mother I am, they got lightsabers wrapped up with a chocolate bunny! He He. Anyway, I am so excited because we are doing our precruise land stay on the second of the three Star Wars Weekends. This was totally a coincidence and we are keeping it surprise for the kids,because when they see all the characters at DHS they will go nuts!! So if we are keeping count, that is two more in the Star Wars Mania category!

For all you veterans out there, does anyone have any thoughts on the Disney Dining Plan?

Finally, does anyone have the logo or theme for our Double Dip. I am making something for the FE and need our slogan and any graphics. Thanks.

Thoughts on the Dining plan:

Its not what it used to be but we still are planning to use it on our 5 days after the cruise. It hurts a little more now that our DS is 10 and is paying the adult rate. The snack credits can be used for desserts, Counter Service for Lunch, and Table Service for dinner. Or if you can switch that around if you'd like but this is how we're using them this time. If you choose nice TS restaurants you can save money even with the high price of the plan. If you are staying in a villa with a kitchen and have a car (to get groceries) you can better use the snack credits for drinks or treats at the parks if you have breakfast in the villa.

There are different levels of the plan but the one I just explained is the standard package. We like it but if they continue to take away from it and raise the price we'll probably stop using it. It is nice not to have to drop a ton of cash at the restaurants. I know you are just paying in advance but it feels different.

My DS is excited about Star Wars weekend too. Being 10 he probably thinks he's too cool to do some of the activities but he's a big fan of the clone wars series and they've talked about having some things connected to that so he's looking forward to it.

I don't know why, but I guess I forgot to post our cabin number earlier for FE. Oops! We are in 6083.

So looking forward to the cruise. Our wedding is exactly three weeks from today -- then on the boat two days later!

I'm dragging the list up here to keep it fresh and on everyone's minds. Three weeks from today GarrettJD and his DW-to-be will be getting married, and most of the rest of us will be watching the clock, mentally urging it to move faster (that's if we are not throwing things into suit cases wondering how we are going to get everything done on time). I am so ready for this cruise to begin!

Hey Tara, a few months back someone came up with the theme/slogan of mickey holding a double dip ice cream cone. I don't have time to go back and search who made this right now but will have time later. If I find the picture, I'll let you know what pg. and post number it can be found on. I believe the person who came up with the theme used in in her signature so it may not be available under her name anymore. This same person who came up with the theme ended up switching to another cruise but had already made this banner pertaining to this particular cruise. The banner is being mailed to me as we speak and I should receive it within the next few days. I plan on bringing the banner for our Dis meet but have no clue where I could hang it up.
I'm not even sure how big it is but will soon find out.

I received our themed cruise banner in the mail today. Tami0220 did a wonderful job on it. The only problem is that she made this banner about a year ago but will no longer be cruising with us due to other commitments. I can't wait for everyone to see it. I will bring it to the Dis meet and ask the CM's if we can hang the banner up near the drink station.

Now, I found the theme picture on pg.20 post #286 for those of you who like the Mickey holding a double dip ice cream cone (shown on the banner). Thanks Tami0220 once again!

I am sorry, but I don't know how to transfer the picture of the banner (found on pg. 25 post #373) or the picture from pg. 20 post #286.

Hi Cindy,

I also had a credit for $4.82 from DCL on my bank statement with no explanation. But, mine was only one credit, not two. Since I transferred our reservation to Dreams Unlimited, DCL couldn't explain the credit. So, I've sent an email to DU to see what it's for. I'll post the answer when I receive it.

Anybody else get either one or two credits totalling $4.82?

Sherrie - Thanks so much for getting me the banner info, this helps a bunch. Now off to get supplies for my homemade gifts...hoping everyone likes them! I am so excited about our trip, it has been a long wait and yet all of a sudden I feel the pressure of all the things I still have left to get done! Aarrghh! I hope the pool meet has a good turnout. I am sure the CM's will allow the banner.

Dreams Unlimited told me that the mysterious $4.82 credit was for a decrease in taxes for this sailing. Wow. When was the last time you heard of taxes being decreased???

That's awesome !! A tax decrease..., every once in a while the government does something right, even if it is less than $5, I doubt you'll ever see it again !!
Wonder how warm it is at Castaway Cay today ? DS had a baseball game this afternoon and we froze !! The weather channel said it was 46, feeling like 42, but with winds gusting up to and over 30 mph all day long it felt like 10.
I could use some sunshine and warmth !!

I remember that right after I booked this cruise(October 08) I got a letter about the fuel charge stating that if the cost of fuel went down we would see some reinbursement or if it went up we may be charged for that. Oh well mystery solved again thanks for posting that.

Now I have counted up the people in the FE exchange and I come up with 13 families with tomorrow being the dead line. Is that right so far?
