5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

Any thoughts or musings on what the itinerary might be as far as when pirate night will be, or what menus and dinner rotations might happen?

We did a double dip last year in June - although it was only a 4 night (not 5), we had our pirate night the evening we left Nassau. (night 3)

I posted a thread a couple of days ago for info, but no one really knows because we are the first 5 night cruise of the year!

Hope everyone is having a nice summer, it has been oddly cool in Western PA. One day last week hit the mid-80's. DS went to a pool birthday party today. At least the sun was out most of the afternoon, probably about 76. The kids were okay in the water, but when they got out everyone was shivering. :goodvibes

Same here in Denver. Yesterday HIGH was only in the mid-50's. Today is back to the 70's -- at least it's sunny. This past weekend we attended a Kenny Chesney concert outdoors up in Cheyenne, WY and it was in the upper 50's when the concert started, but at the wall-to-wall people made it feel warmer. Great concert BTW.

I heard on the radio that this was the rainiest summer since the late 1880's for Denver. We really haven't had that many 90 degree days - a hot day is mid 80's.

We head down to WDW in a little over a week -- at least I'll get to experience a little bit of summer this year!

Hope everyone is doing well. It's been very quiet this summer on this thread.

Here's a couple of pictures that remind me of Denver's weather the past few days:

Country Music fans here too! Saw Kenny last year in Atlanta, he does put on a great show. We just returned today from a quick weekend trip to Charlotte, NC to see Rascal Flatts - they were great! They are my 15 yr old DD's very favorite group.

School starts next week, Aug 10th - can't believe how quickly summer went by!

Rascal Flats is my DW's favorite group. Did Darius Rucker open for them? She's been a fan since they just started. She even aw them in a free concert in Atchison, KS when they were just starting out.

Double post...that was weird.

I guess I can just post about another event from the weekend. My DMIL and DFIL had a Panama Canal trip booked before my FIL passed away a few years ago. My DMIL still really wants to visit the Panama Canal so she is booking an EB Panama Canal cruise on Princess Cruiselines this November and has invited both her daughters to join her at her expense. So basically, my DW is getting to go on a 15-night cruise for free. She's looking forward to it as she visits many of the same ports as before (Cabo, Acapulco, Cartagena and Aruba) as well as a couple of new ones including Panama City itself and I believe Costa Rica. The only thing I'm a bit jealous of is that by visiting Panama City, she can take an excursion over to see a ship go through the canal at the Visitors Center. It would be neat to see it from shore. This will be my DSIL's first cruise, so she is super excited. I'm happy for them.

Hello Everyone!

Our summer is essencially over. Football started on Tuesday and Band started yesterday, yes, Sunday afternoon. Football will be every weeknight 630-9, band is 8-5 this week, 8-9 next week and back to 8-5 the last week. School starts the 26th. My life is dedicated to toting the boys back and forth and making sure there is clean clothes to wear and food on the table when they need it! LOL Next Saturday is Steve's family reunion, the next is the Football Kick Off Classic and the citywide yard sale which the band with participate in as well as doing a car wash and bake sale. THAT will be a long day! Steve's going to do football, I'll be doing band that day. Once school starts, add high school ball games on Friday nights, band competitons on Saturdays and midgit league on Sunday! AND Steve works every other weekend, so wish me luck!!!

HOW much longer until we cruise??

Hope everyone is having a great summer. :cool1:
Our summer has been busy, busy, busy! We've been going to the beach alot and we are getting ready for our WDW trip in 6 weeks! We have alot planned for that trip: MNSSHP, 2 tours (Segway & Seas Aqua Tour), Parks, Free dining, etc!

Chris and I were longing for Castaway Cay last night!!

My kids go back to school in 10 days! I am actually looking forward to it because this cruise is right when school ends... in fact school ends 5/28 and we sail 5/30, so the beginning of the school year marks the countdown to the cruise.

I just booked us on the Wonder for May 30th. Mygirlsplusone (Perry and Lori) DD age 4 and DD age 8 (at time of cruise). Please add us to the list.

We are getting ready to send our deposit for the last 2 connecting rooms on the entire ship!!!

Me, my DW, DD7, and DD4 will be going on the ship with my DMIL (Disney Mother-In-Law), DFIL (Disney Father-In-Law), DSIL (Disney Sister-In-Law), and DN (Disney Nephew). It is going to be a big trip for us.

Please add us to the list.

This will be our second DCL trip. We just got off the Disney Wonder 4 night Cruise on 07-19-2009. When we got home, we were so excited about wanting to go back that my DMIL decided to go with us on the next cruise.

Has anyone found any old 5-day navigators on the internet, or does anyone have old 5-day double dip navigators we could see? We like to plan our days and being able to see the possible navigator layouts really helped us on our first cruise.

I can't wait to see you all on the ship.

Tim

Wow !! Looks like we have had several new people joining our thread this week !! Welcome...:flower3:

Sounds like the cruise will be pretty full, and full of Disers !!:thumbsup2

with school getting ready to start, the trip is getting closer...I have a feeling the next few months will fly by !! I'd like the 5 days on the ship to go as slow as possible though...

We just finished band camp for my DD15 - They are so tired and sore when they get home at night! It is a rate race for us, too, this time of year. But, it really is a lot of fun.

School begins Monday for us - so today we're off to buy school supplies!

Yes, Darius Rucker opened, and he was great. Didn't know if he'd get to do any of his Hootie and the Blowfish hits from my day, but he sang them all!! He also came back out with RFlatts for the encore.

Welcome SuperTim and MyGirlsPlusone! Sounds like this ship is sailing full!

:welcome: and Welcome to the DIS as well! Someone like me who refers to the "D" in front of the name as "Disney" and not "Dear"!!

I haven't found any 5-night navigators. I know there was a 5-night double dip cruise on the Magic right after last year's Panama Canal cruise so it would have been around September 1st, but it was changed due to the hurricane. If you find one, let us know. I plan to buy the Passporter when it comes out next year as they tend to have good information about the special cruises. Other than that, we'll be the guinea pigs for everyone else.

The LAST connecting rooms! Wow. We also have connecting rooms (the exact same ones from our last cruise). It's like your own mini suite.

I'm SuperTim's wife. We are excited about the double dip! Just wanted to say hi!:wave2:

:welcome: I've added your DIS name to the first page as well!

Like many of you, we too are gearing up for school. Ours starts the 19th, and we leave for Florida this Sunday for 8 days at WDW!!! We told our oldest to remind the football coach that he'll miss practice next week and he wanted to know why. He had completely forgotten that next week is our Disney World trip. To be a teen again!

Haven't posted since the first of July - thanks for the warm welcome!
We're heading to Disney World on August 19th, for four nights at POFQ w/free dining after picking up friends in Savannah. Of course we're spending four days in that lovely southern city. We met this couple on a 7 day Princess cruise in 2005 and have been best friends ever since. One more reason we love cruising so much, you meet so many wonderful people.
I reserved a room at the Radisson at the port - need to remember to call and get one of the first transfers over.
I had to call DCL this evening - they're predicting the ship will sail at capacity. I want to be paid in full at 90 days so that I can make reservations for Palo, etc.
Have a great August,
Dawn & Bill

Just checked DCL for prices for our cruise, and they are over $500 more than we paid when booking last winter! The ship must be almost full!!

Guess no cheap upgrades at port.

Our first day of school was yesterday..... on the last day of school we'll be FLA bound ! Looks like it will be a busy year so it will fly by, looking forward to meeting everyone ON THE BOAT !

Hi LauraDar - we are from the Alpharetta area, but my cousin, who's family will all be cruising with us, works at the new Sonoraville Elementary, not too far from you!! They also started school on Friday.
