5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

We are patiently waiting for next may to arrive... Luckily we get to travel to WDW in september for food and wine. Can't wait for either one to arrive!!! Castaway Cay here we come...

Great Picture! Is he Superman?

Thanks. Yes, he's superman with sunglasses!

This picture always reminds me that the Castaway Cay day has always been our last day of our cruise. :sad2: I think that's one thing I'm really looking forward to this time is that we can enjoy the first CC day and realize that we won't be debarking the next morning!! Instead, we'll still have three full days left to cruise.

Today's CC Picture: Fun at the family beach.

We cruised with Disney October of 2008... never thought that we would rebook so soon, but I am addicted.....Thank you for the welcome :)

Hi Horsey Family!
We too, cruised in October 2008! What were your travel dates? Could we have been onboard together?

Lovin' the CC photos! Wishing we were there!! We did a double dip in 2006 and it's so awesome!! I could go to CC everyday of the cruise! Looking forward to being there again!

track season is in full swing, so I am constantly running hither and yon! Can't wait for summer!! the last 2 summers I worked, so this will be great being able to stay home with the boys and do things together!!!

Make It Magical!! :wizard:

I missed yesterday due to the DIS being down for maintenance when I was available, but here is today's CC picture.

We didn't make this ourselves, but saw it while walking down the family beach.

Awww, I want to take my dogs!!! Thought about making those little service coats for them. lol

Have you come up with a banner yet? I am semi-creative and would be willing to put one together if you havent. Are there any particular parameters, size, material, etc. Also was reading about door decorations and someone mentioned magnets. Are the doors metal or will tape work? And I cant figure out how to add photos to these posts. Can you tell me? This is my first forum or board or chat room ever so I need help! Tami

I cut and pasted a proto type for a banner, but dont know how to add a photo. I can email you one. It's in black and white right now, but I was going to do red/white/blue like it was suggested as few pages back. Let me know if you would like to see it.

To post pictures, you have to have at least 10 posts on the DIS. Once you've done that, PM me and I can help you post pictures.

Go ahead and make the banner any size and then we can shrink it to fit the signature box area.

Yes, the doors are metal. I believe that Disney frowns upon the use of tape. You can use magnetic paper, but that's kind of expensive to buy (over $1.00 per page), or just buy magnetic tape from walmart for your door signs. I really like how the signs add personality to your stateroom door.

Thanks so much for offering to do this. I sent you a PM. If you don't get it, let me know.

We just booked for our 3rd Disney Cruise for my Twins 2nd Birthday... okay thats my story and I'm sticking 2 it:lmao:

:welcome: I added your DIS name to the first post. Let me know if you want to make any changes. Is this your first cruise with your twins? It's great to see more people booking and joining the cruise meet thread!

DH and I have cruised before but it will be a first for the girls. They have visted Disney 4 times in less than a year..... Disney Addicts in the making.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!! :goodvibes

Christopher, love seeing the photos from CC!! It's rainy, gloomy and cold here today, so it's a breath of fresh air to see the sun on my laptop! Although, it leaves me longing for a hammock and a Konk Cooler!!! I hate to wish my life away, but I wish it would hurry up and get here!!!!

Welcome to our new cruisers!! Cookie, Faith and Grace are adorable!!! I just want to SQUEEZE them!!

Tami, can't wait to see your creation!!!! I am SURE it will be better then ANYTHING I could put together!!

Just 80 days and we'll be at the Beach Club!! I can't wait! Even the boys, who I "thought" might be getting too old for the parks, are really getting excited! Either that, or they know in less then 80 days, school will be out! LOL I think I have everything planned for this trip to The World! We got a great rate at the CI&S over by Universal for our first night in town, just $49!!! I am so tickled! Got our ADRs made! Have the dogs ressie at the kennel made! We are driving, so that's a done deal! Now, we wait!!!

I am off to get my chores done!

Make It Magical!! :wizard:

Thanks! What I wouldn't do for some rain right now though. We're in the middle of a Blizzard here in Denver. It's going to be below freezing all day with another 8 to 12 inches of snow. Yuck! The only good news is that we really needed some moisture.

We moved to Denver two years ago and the kids have not had a snow day. Most of the other schools are closed today. However, our district is off for Spring break this week, so once again, no snow day for our kids! :rotfl2:

The thing I miss the most right now is seeing color --it is so brown and dry out here (well it's white right now). I'd love to see green grass, leaves budding on the trees and some flowers. So here's today CC picture:

Ok, I'm a cyber dunce. When I read about a banner I thought you meant a physical banner, not one for the website. So, I got my cut and paste design to Chris and he will try to work it into one for the board. I, however, am working on a banner for when we board that would be nice if we all sign. I sew, although not perfectly, and will be working on it. When I get it done, hopefully I will be able to post a photo of it also. When I get enough posts up I can send photos of Lake Havasu. It's been 80 here and lots of palm trees. I love the warm winters. Tami

wet and gloomy in Western PA today too, rain not snow !!
I saw on the news earlier this month that the Pittsburgh area has like 45 days of uninhibited sunshine. :cool2: (a completely sunny day, no clouds, etc....) isn't that aweful !!:sad2:, I refuse to tell DH, it will depress him too much. I guess we have to be happy with partly to mostly cloudy skies. I have a British friend I went out to lunch with today, she said our cool wet weather reminds her of home (I am not sure if that is good or bad, but I think it is funny.)
So, I am hoping for at least one day of uninhibited sun at CC for us in 2010.
It will be more than we are used to.:cool1:

I guess I shouldn't complain about our dryness. We do get lots and lots of sun here in Colorado! I do enjoy that as it keeps the spirits up. Even in the middle of winter, it's typically very sunny. Even if the temps are cold, it feels a lot better when the sun's shining.

I have yet to have a completely sunny day at CC. However, so many of our sea days have been cloudless!! On our three trips to CC, two of them were overcast and one had clouds and a little rain in the morning, but lots of sun from 10:30 a.m. to that too early on-board time. The best thing about CC is just being there!! We've thoroughly enjoyed all three visits.

First, a weather update. Still snowing. :scared1: and it's been in the teens most of the day.

Don't worry about it. The sewing didn't even throw me as lots of people on our last cruise made large physical banners to hang from their balconies as we went through the Panama Canal.

For everyone, here is the draft sketch of the banner that Tami put together. I really like the idea of Captain Mickey holding the double dip ice cream cone. Did you draw this Tami? If others agree, I think it'd make a great signature banner for this cruise. If I could get a clean sketch, I could add some text to it electronically or you could do it. It would just need a phrase -- something like "2010 Memorial Day Double Dip" or "Memoral Day Double Dip -- Disney Wonder -- May 30 to June 4, 2010". Any other suggestions??

Didn't Tami do a great job on this? :thumbsup2:worship:
