Anyways, what is Banfi? I must be dunce, for this I do not know....... :charac2:
I just got in from Dothan AL. When we went to visit my brother for the Christmas holiday, I left my 2 oldest with him and his family, for the week. He lives in Destin Fla (Eglin AFB). We agreed to meet halfway exactly 110m at the fla/ala state line. I had him call me when he left so we would not be waiting on each other. DO you know I still ended waiting over an hour for him at the designated place???Grr.......he got a ticket....I felt bad because they are not doing well financially, but that doesnt mean he should speed right? My DH says I should have paid for the ticket? Is he nuts? I didnt offer, does that make me a bad sister?? I didnt tell him to speed.

Im still here Stace....trying to play catch up to a whole day of posts...........

Hi Amanda, I'm still here.
No way would I have offered to pay the ticket. I guess I'm a mean sister too. But your foot wasn't on the gas pedal!

Banfi is a champagne, pink in color and very sweet. I love it. It goes well with dessert, anything chocolate. Don't think you're a dunce, I didn't know until Diana had me try it on the Christmas cruise, now I'm hooked. She's an enabler, you have to watch her! ;)

Now I really am going to bed.....see ya later!

Stacey already answered, but I will elaborate a bit. Banfi Rosa Regale, a Italian champagne. VERY nice with all sorts of things. We had it for the first time this last October at the Disney Wine and Food Festival. We had a slice of the Flour-less Hazelnut chocolate cake and a flute of Banfi. Yummm, it was love a first sip!!! The scubas and our family met the next day and we had the combo at least twice.

We'll have to get scubadiver (aka Jim) to bulk Lisa up a bit so she can carry the next load of wine and champagne for the May cruise. What's the record at Jim? 20 something bottles???

I would say just a touch sweet. It went well with dinner, too, remember? And I don't remember twisting any arms! I just remember looking around our section one night and Banfi was being opened at four different tables!

Amanda, I like the quiz idea. We could do it about three months before the cruise, kind of like the Survivor Fallen Comrades challenge. Drive everyone crazy searching back through old posts.

Okay... time for an OHIO sun watch...

The last time we saw the sun was on Thursday Dec 30th, driving through Georgia on our way home from the ten-day cruise. Since arriving in Ohio, thick stratus clouds have completely blocked the view of the sun. It's been three days. How many days until we see it again? Any wagers?

And that is why we moved from Michigan to Florida.

Banfi is a red sparkling champaign that goes well with chocolate. It is usually featured at the Epcot Wine and Food Festival. This year I was able to get several bottles locally and hauled them on the ship for Kevin and I.

Banfi make the desert buffet so much better!

26 bottles for 10 days. I can cut that back a little since we brought two bottles home.

Please remember they were not all mine. I did bring some for others.

I'll have to see how the pre-sales go for the private label bottle for this cruise.

I wonder if I need to get a license to be hauling that much wine? :earseek:

I love getting tops when talking about wine, food, or diving.

That is the advantage of being the early morning poster. Just need to get the west coasters to set me up for a morning top.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1: Happy Monday! Lucky me gets one more day off and then back to work I go. I should really go in and clear some stuff off my desk but they are predicting ice storms and I'd rather stay home and finish up cleaning etc. here.

The laundry is finally done except for the things that have to go to the dry cleaners.

The outside decorations are down and I'm putting away the inside ones today.

So we have a wonderful holiday season behind us and a fresh new year ahead! Have a great day everyone!

And why we moved from NH to FL... seasonal affective disorder is very real in the north and midwest... we had to get out to save our sanity!!!
(I don't think there's anyone in PO who's originally FROM there!!!)

Bummer!

My guess, 10 days. You have to pay for that cruise now....... :guilty:

Has anyone checked the DCL cruise rates lately? I checked this a.m. ... just out of curiosity. For a cat 8, which is what we have booked, it looks like the price has gone up at least $1,000! Can that be right? I'm glad I booked early.

Don't get me wrong! I will thank you again for the wonderful curbside wine delivery service you made. We benefited delightfully from your sharing!!

Count me in for at least two bottles of the private label!

I hear ya I hear ya I hear ya!!

I have to fight S.A.D. every year. It's mind over matter! This year will be tough b/c there are NO sunny days and way too much rain! :(

Wow - just checked online and our category has gone up $1140!!!!!

We just booked this a week ago! Guess all us 12/18 cruisers who booked on board used up all the early booking discounts. Glad we got in when we did.

DH and I were just wondering why we still live in the midwest when neither of us likes cold/winter. We were surfing the net for places to retire where the sun DOES shine. Of course DS is only in fourth grade, so we have about 9 more years to think about where we want to live. Florida is on my list. :smooth:
