Yes. My dad is the pie mold man. Did you click on the pie mold site? Those are his! He's been making them since 1962-ish. :)
Pie molds are a staple around here in the summertime! :)

A pie from 1962??? That explains why it has Mold on it....:rotfl2:

Thanks Kevin. I bought all of us new equipment. It's pretty nice I think. I think Body Glove makes them. I got them in BJ's. The boys' were $30 and ours were $40 each. Maybe I should have the boys try them out in the bath? Too cold up here for a pool. Although, I think it was RachelTori that left an invitation open to come to her house with the pool. Seriously, they look pretty good. The boys have never snorkeled before. Think they need the fins? And Augie's fins are size 13!!!! They're huge. And heavy. Actually, he comes with his own fins..:lmao:
Wow!! Those are "natural" fins!! :rotfl2:

Reminder: Those of you with new masks (or even an older one you haven't used in awhile)! Remember to clean them on the inside with regular toothpaste (the white stuff, NOT gel) a couple of time prior to using them. They come with a light coating of silicone as a protective layer. If you don't get that off, then the mask will forever fog!! You can't see what you're trying to see with a foggy mask!!

If you can get the kids in the pool prior to the cruise to verify the mask and snorkel fit that would be my recommendation.

Hello All

I have been lurking here for a bit and let me say, you all are SO hard to keep up with! Miss one day and you're 30 pages behind! But I love reading here and spend WAY too much time on this board! I feel like I know some of you. I've learned so much from you all too!

I've had my cruise booked for a year and a half and my SIL and I are now wondering if we should switch to late seating. (Nothing like waiting till the last minute) We're just nervous that we'll be too rushed with early seating. The question is, how do we switch to late when we're this close to sailing? There are 12 of us in our group. Can it be done?

Thanks for any help you can give!

JenS - First Disney Cruise in 17 days! :woohoo:

Hi Jen,

You can call DCL and asked to be switched. It is much easier to switch from early to late seating..... They may make you wait to do it on the ship, but you can at least try...

Glad you finally jumped in and joined us....

You're from my old neck of the woods - I was born and raised in Weirton, WV... I'm a big Pirate and Steeler fan from way back.... I actually got the new Roberto Clemente book to read on the cruise. He was an awesome ballplayer, and I grew up watching him play. I was lucky enough to see him play all of the home games of the 1971 world series and I was there when he got his 3000th hit....

Hope that you stay around and chat....

Further proof that G-d has a sense of humor. Maggie hasn't been sick in two years - grandparents start arriving today...and she's back in bed.

Oh, that's not fun! Feel better, Maggie!

Ohhh, I *LOVED* Roberto Clemente  Besides being a terrific ballplayer, I think he was a pretty terrific person; a good-hearted soul, taken from us way too soon. That book is on my list of "must reads". :thumbsup2

You know what they say about men with big feet.........they need big shoes! :lmao:

What were YOU thinking????

The same thing. We say that aaaalllll the time...big feet - big shoes. .........psstt. he is Italian though.

Hey a U-TOP with big feet, big shoes and big....oh never mind.

Has anyone heard from the Scubas or the Pugs today? Just checking the weather and hopefully they are getting some needed rain over there. Getting worried cause I really haven't seen them post.

Definitely.... My wife gets upset with my collection of memorabilia... she calls it my Clemente shrine... I'm lucky enough to have a collection of his baseball cards, including his rookie card, and I have a team signed 1971 season ball with his autograph on it.

Welcome, Jen!

In my experience, changing to the late seating isn't a big deal. And having done both, I personally think the later one is more relaxing. Less rushing back from excursions, etc. But of course, just BEING there is the important thing, right?

See you soon!

Hi all!

I survived another night of being a single mom. Only 2 more nights & 3 more mornings. We can't wait for Bruce to come home.

Maggie, hope you feel better!

Glad to hear that FL is getting some rain. Maybe you'll get some of this stuff we're expecting today. Looks like a band went through southern GA last night & this morning ... maybe they got some of that.

Ang

Anybody in the south (originally from the south) ever heard of those pie mold things before? Not me. We even had a camper growing up. Just wondering if they are a "northern" thing.

We had late seating on our first cruise and liked it. But this time we're doing early, mainly because I need to keep my blood sugars down before I go to bed as much as possible around all that good food; and we are NOT nightowls.

I've decided what one of the drawbacks to living in FL is... a 7-day cruise is only a 7-day vacation...no 'before and after' days... I'll probably be heading to JB's right from work... which, while a great way to end a workweek, most of you will already be DAYS into your vacation!!!!

Hey Stacey,

I saw that you posted to one of the jewelry threads on the main board. Question for you ... there must have been a thread recently that had a link that I followed. I thought it was about Carribean topaz but now can't find it. Anyway, the stones that I saw on the website were not solid in color, they almost had a rainbow effect. Do you know what stone that would be? I thought it was really pretty.

Nevermind ... found it. I guess these are lab created. Does anyone know?
