Ray, thanks for the cookbook. Looks like some yummy things in there. I'll have to update my shopping list, now.

I DITTO that. The recipes sound delicious and the book is great. THANK YOU, RAY! :thanks:

John is a great guy and who we found out about button making from. If you drop him a pm (his name is Towncrier) I'm sure he'll help you. The Mickey is very cute all dressed up.

HA HA....just got back to read this and....I already did. He's going to be like "what's the big interest in the town crier thing all of a sudden?"

Good point on the fireworks, Irene. Kevin already said "well, there's lots of other things to take pictures of". Do you think maybe he means his daughter?

Are we still whiting out AI discussions: Here's my take:
I was not too shocked last night about AI. Chris has been in the bottom two before. Not too sorry to see the Death Stare guy go. I like the final three. And I still like Katharine. She lets the nerves get her, and she tries to sing over the band, but she still has some performances that I love more than any of the others. I hope she has a good day next week. In fact, I hope they all do , that would make it more interesting.

I kind of like the Donald graphic with the newspaper. It would be different from everyone else with Mickey on theirs.

I really liked her performance of Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. So much so I had to find it on iTunes and download it. (not true. We got it for $0.52 from the russians...I just remembered) Anyway, love the song. :) The original artist is KT Tunstall. Hmmm, wonder where she got the idea for "KT." :lmao:

Thank OHMinnie for getting in touch with Towncrier. Let me know what you hear.

I did a quick mock-up using a graphic that I found. It still needs a lot of work ... Disney fonts, etc. Anyone have any more ideas? I certainly accept any criticism with grace. I'll just post a link since it's pretty big.

Just clicked on the link. That looks pretty bad when it initially loads. If you click the little icon at the bottom, it will enlarge it.

If you stay with an "old time look", it would be cool to find some scroll box that you could use instead of the push pin look. :teeth:

So what are the plans for MOther's Day -- we will have a "repeat of Easter"

Church by the bach - pick up Mother - Sam will grill - we will RELAX (last day for that before cruise) - Eat, drink some (I'd like to say champagne but I think I had better say ) beer....give gifts....did I say relax?

No plans at all for Mother's Day here. Unless someone surprises me, which I doubt. My mom is in Nebraska, so I don't even have the "excuse" to celebrate by taking her out.
Besides, my day has always been overshadowed by giving birth to a baby right at Mother's Day.

Great idea Kevin. I'm sure I can find something like that. Ummm ... I should be working right now & not DIS'ing or working on door signs.

I can't see it too well on my PDA, but from what I can see, it looks GREAT!! I love that graphic - where did you find it?

Ok I decided that should try to make another door sign with the wording that Irene liked.

Did you hear the news? We're on our 1st Magical Disney Cruise.

Now I need some help being creative & finding images. I was thinking of either trying to find an image with Mickey (or another character) with his/her hand to his/her ear or doing some sort of newspaper looking sign. Any ideas on where to find those sort of graphics? Anyone better at googling than I am????

There's one here with Goofy and a newspaper. And you can type any other character into the search.....

Hmmmm

Mickey as a Town Crier is on that site I just posted........

Help!

I'm having a LOT of trouble getting a posting to go thru. This is a test. I keep getting an error message that says my posting has "one or more URLs." But it doesn't. Any suggestions? Bueller? Anyone?

All caught up...now I have to run.....

Angie..you are way too creative! And I really don't want to see what John comes up with, his will probably be astounding.

COACH...thank you!! Love the Cookbook! I wonder if we're the first DIS group to have ever done a cookbook???

See you after the haircut.

My original thought was to take all the recipes he got and make it all 'nice' with cool Disney graphics, etc, and turn it into a PDF before sending it out... but, in all reality with just 16 days til we sail... that wasn't gonna happen!!! So... all of you creative people... take those door sign images, insert them into your cookbook, and voila!!! There you go.

Thank you all for being so welcoming on this board! We're stressed because Disney travel couldn't book us on a direct flight and we've got a horrendous connection-layover in Atlanta, about four hours. Upshot is we probably won't be on board in time to make the sailaway gathering on Deck 11.

We are SO disappointed esp DS, 12, because we were looking forward to meeting everyone. Will there be other opportunities for all the group to get together? And does anyone know how to pick up the Blabbermouth ID buttons, if not at the Deck 11 event?

Hi Neil,

I think I owed you an e-mail on this subject. Sorry about that. What we usually do is have everyone meet up on deck 10 at 3pm so that it is nice and quiet. Then go to the safety drill and then most people meet back up on deck 10 for sailaway (unless they want to be on the dance floor which is down on deck 9). So you should be able to meet up with plenty of people then. Any buttons that aren't picked up by the 3pm meet will be delievered to your stateroom sometime that evening (based on when we are free). There will be a packet that includes you buttons, navigator, and your door magnet.

Hopefully you will make the 3pm meet, if not i'm sure you'll be able to spot all of us at Sailaway!
