I've decided what one of the drawbacks to living in FL is... a 7-day cruise is only a 7-day vacation...no 'before and after' days... I'll probably be heading to JB's right from work... which, while a great way to end a workweek, most of you will already be DAYS into your vacation!!!!

But living in Florida is like being on vacation all the time, well except for Wildfires

and occasional hurricanes

.....BUT NO SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny:

ABSOLUTELY the round. Ppl SWEAR by the square b/c they don't want to waste bread....square mold, square bread...makes sense. But they don't make bread big enough to FULLY cover the square mold....so they don't seal nicely. With the round, the bread covers the whole mold and seals very nicely. Sure, you have to cut off the very crust of it, but I'd rather have nice sealing than not waste bread.

You should see me when I buy "pie mold bread." Nothing can touch it in the cart. I'm a crazy woman at the check out making sure no one manhandles it or puts it in a bag with something that will squish it. I bring it in the house very very carefully---like I'm carrying a fragile crystal or something. I don't like ANYTHING to squish my pie mold bread. :)

Hey, we all have our priorites. :lmao: :lmao:

Whoever said "Uncrustables" was a novel idea???? :sad2:

Yeah, but, what if we forget something important....... like pants! :lmao:

Been there. Done that. I had to rent DH some tux pants to wear for dining in the dining rooms on our last cruise! He was NOT happy with me, but it worked out. Now, he lays out his clothes vs trusting me to gather it all from the closet. (My evil plan worked!!!) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Tough game for your guys last night 14 -3, but since it is a long season...It really doesn't mean much

That was just ugly in our books. Who were those guys dressed in Yankee uniforms? We go to the game tonight. Hey...look for us, we'll be on the 1st base side almost near the foul pole on the upper deck. Yeah, we're bringing the binoculars. No doubt...hopefully it will go our way tonight. My DS, AJ has his "lucky" underwear and socks on today. Says he has to keep them on for 2 days. P-U!!!!

Hey Stacey,

I saw that you posted to one of the jewelry threads on the main board. Question for you ... there must have been a thread recently that had a link that I followed. I thought it was about Carribean topaz but now can't find it. Anyway, the stones that I saw on the website were not solid in color, they almost had a rainbow effect. Do you know what stone that would be? I thought it was really pretty.

Nevermind ... found it. I guess these are lab created. Does anyone know?

Ang

Caribbean topaz, or Rainbow topaz are all heat-treated. The only natural topaz are brown, yellow, and golden. Blue topaz is also heat-treated. There's a difference between "created" and treated. A created stone is basically a "fake" from the get-go. A treated stone is a natural stone, but enhanced for color by a process, usually heat. If you think about it, all natural diamonds are "treated".

I guess that didn't come out right. The Caribbean and rainbow topaz are REAL, they were just heated to bring out the colors.
I think they're really pretty, and they are very affordable!

Anybody in the south (originally from the south) ever heard of those pie mold things before? Not me. We even had a camper growing up. Just wondering if they are a "northern" thing.

Ang

I had (here in MS) but that might be because my parents are not from here originally. Though, I want to say that I actually saw some being sold at Academy Sports. (they might be a knock-off brand.)

Hi - this is Sue. I have friends who love the stone. Changes colors, like a rainbow. Here in Md it is called the Mystic topaz.

I understand your situation completely. We will pick up our kids from school and hit the road on Friday. (The 6th grade graduation is that morning and several of our friends' children will be leaving the school where they have been since 3 year olds' preschool. ) Then we will all (several families) caravan down to the Rad at the Port to spend the night. I have absolutely no idea when we will arrive. I don't even know how long of a drive it is.

 Hmmm. maybe I do need to invest in the dual screen DVD player. I hate the flip down screen when it comes to driving and seeing out the back window. I better watch out; whatever I spend before the cruise, I can't spend ON the cruise. :teeth:

Can you tell I have no students right now! :woohoo: For about 5 more minutes peace and quiet and DISing reigns!

Hey! How did HE get that picture??

Oh...the possibilites....

Maybe he took it when I was cooking pie molds out on the secret deck 7???

Smart guy. He pulled it off the Minute Pie Mold website! :)

Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! :lmao: :lmao:
