Thanks for the work Pam! I'm glad to know there were other Discover card issues - I was wondering if I'd remembered to pay my bill :teeth:
Sherry

More whiteout AI..
That's it! I never made that connection, and after seeing someone showboat before the Nascar race too many times on the anthem I should have. That is exactly what she was doing. I did get the vague feeling she was just trying to pull up something to impress with. She's a brilliant singer, but as Diana said, she doesn't apply herself to it very often. I thought she could have done well on the second song if she had.

More Idol whiteout:

That's what I told Mike after her second song. I was just flabbergasted b/c she sang it SO beautifully during the Graceland clip, and just destroyed it for the actual show. She does have an awesome voice, but she oversang. Perfect analogy, Stacey, about what ppl do to the National Anthem.

U TOP!!!!!

Wow. Quiet evening....

Guess everyone was watching AI....

Here's my impressions of it...whited out so Sandi doesn't see if she doesn't want to...
AWWW. Thanks for thinking of me, but at this point I can't wait until the next morning to watch. Plus I had to get in a few votes for mine and dh's favorites (Elliott and Taylor).

Yes. My dad is the pie mold man. Did you click on the pie mold site? Those are his! He's been making them since 1962-ish. :)
Pie molds are a staple around here in the summertime! :)

So, do you recommend the round or the square?

That idea is a staple for my lunch during lent. We don't have a fireplace, so, sorry to say ours is a plugin version to make grilled cheese sandwiches.

Did I ever tell you how great dh is?

Maggie starting feeling icky last night - he re-arranged his morning schedule to stay home with her until I can get back after lunch from teaching classes (no subs...)

Further proof that G-d has a sense of humor. Maggie hasn't been sick in two years - grandparents start arriving today...and she's back in bed.

My AI comments, no white out. I've always been an Elliott fan. I just love his voice, so I thought he did a great job on his songs. I'm also a Taylor fan and liked his 2nd song much better than the first. I've never been too impressed with Chris' performances, but he's just not my style. He can sing. I've never been a big Kat fan, either, and thought she just did terrible last night. I think she'll go home. In 2 weeks, we'll be getting into MCO at 6:40, then have to pick up the rental and get to the resort so, will probably miss it. Hoping to be able to catch the winner's show after Sea World, then.

I only have less than 2 weeks to DIS! The contractor is going to start tearing down our old siding in a few days. We'll have everything done before we leave on vacation. The HVAC wants to schedule the new airconditioner compressor on the 22nd. That's the day before we leave, so I think it could wait until we get back. It's not like we'll be needing the air on before we leave. So much going on in the next 2 weeks, I feel like my brain might explode!

Thanks to whomever answered my question about laundry at the Rad. Sorry I don't remember; it was too many posts ago to go look. I'm hoping that we'll get by with 1 suitcase and a garmet bag. Of course, that could change as I start packing more. I've actually packed a few things in a box and am going to UPS them to the port, just so we won't have so much to lug around before the cruise.

MAGGIE! GET BETTER :goodvibes !

OK, I should be on the treadmill. I haven't even looked at it for over a week. So, I'm off to throw in a load of laundry, take a stroll on the t-mill and watch House from last night. Happy hump-day.

So, do you recommend the round or the square?

ABSOLUTELY the round. Ppl SWEAR by the square b/c they don't want to waste bread....square mold, square bread...makes sense. But they don't make bread big enough to FULLY cover the square mold....so they don't seal nicely. With the round, the bread covers the whole mold and seals very nicely. Sure, you have to cut off the very crust of it, but I'd rather have nice sealing than not waste bread.

You should see me when I buy "pie mold bread." Nothing can touch it in the cart. I'm a crazy woman at the check out making sure no one manhandles it or puts it in a bag with something that will squish it. I bring it in the house very very carefully---like I'm carrying a fragile crystal or something. I don't like ANYTHING to squish my pie mold bread. :)

Hey, we all have our priorites. :lmao: :lmao:

See, I should do that with the wine, but I'm so afraid I won't pack it well enough.
