Yes. Mistake #1 we made on our first cruise --we did not pack jeans or sweatshirts. We just could not be out on the outer decks after dark. It was just too cold and windy. Brrrr.

Btw, our first cruise sailed EXACTLY three years ago TODAY!!! I told that to KT and she said "you can't remember what we had for dinner last night, but you can remember that this is the third anniversary of our first cruise?????"

I open our windows to listen to the frogs singing in the evening. It's like one of those nature cd's without the background music.

I LOVE going to my parents house in the summer and being sung to sleep by the bullfrogs. Maybe I should get a few for the pool. Hmmmm.....

Around here, everyone pretty much uses pine straw as cover in their bedding areas.

Is that like the pine needle looking stuff? I think my sister has that in her yard (NC) Must be a southern thing b/c up here we all use cypress-y mulch stuff.

DS has Sylvan tonight, so I may as well kill some time in Wal-Mart and ONLY buy orange juice. Right...

I just got home from there $125 lighter. (sigh) That place is worse than Disney at removing my money from my wallet! HEY, good news...That's like $1.25 in DISNEY POINTS!!!

Around here, everyone pretty much uses pine straw as cover in their bedding areas. We had it delivered and spread it ourselves the first year here. Bruce ended up taking a trip to the emergency room for a tetanus shot because he put a rusty wire through his hand. That's the last year we did it ourselves. We have a huge bank (slope) between our property & the neighbors. It probably took 1/2 of the order just to cover that. I think it's time we think of planting ground cover! It's nice for someone just to come out & have it done in an hour.

Yeah, we weren't so sure that we wanted to eat it, either . But the experience should be priceless. I'm kind of curious what kind of food is pre-historic. I used to think that my DH was the only smart a** around, but then I joined this board....

Just a rhetorical question. Why do door to door solicitors still exist? Does anyone actually open their door to a stranger any more (besides my husband, that is)? Just had a nice looking 20 something guy at my door. I'm home alone. I just yell through the door, NO Thanks! I guess they keep at it, for the one in fifty chance they'll get a Kevin.

This made me smile. I am the last house on a dirt and gravel access road, pass 5 driveways b4 my home. Then I have a security fence across my drive, no trespassing and beware of dog signs. Then a fenced in yard around the house, more beware of dog signs. Last month a man KNOCKED on my door, wanting to sell me insurance!!!! He left his car by the gate and walked down, crazy nut (wonder if he has insurance?).

DH, Ds and I are touring the ruins in Costa Maya with David and Ivan's tour. Included in our tour is a pre-historic lunch with families at the local village. We're doing the DCL jeep tour in Coz, mainly because DS really wanted to, and it's his vacation, too.

I'm almost afraid to ask what you'd get with a pre-historic lunch.....





Ron....We're heading out on our own. Have a boat rented for snorkeling in Cozumel, and most likely going to just wander into Mahajual at Costa Maya.
