Around here, everyone pretty much uses pine straw as cover in their bedding areas. We had it delivered and spread it ourselves the first year here. Bruce ended up taking a trip to the emergency room for a tetanus shot because he put a rusty wire through his hand. That's the last year we did it ourselves. We have a huge bank (slope) between our property & the neighbors. It probably took 1/2 of the order just to cover that. I think it's time we think of planting ground cover! It's nice for someone just to come out & have it done in an hour.

Oh, you mean mulch?

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't think I want to eat a lunch that has been around for THAT long. :rotfl2:

Ang
Yeah, we weren't so sure that we wanted to eat it, either :rotfl:. But the experience should be priceless. I'm kind of curious what kind of food is pre-historic.:confused3 I used to think that my DH was the only smart a** around, but then I joined this board....

I had to make a trip to the dr. this morning for a sinus infection. I don't get sick all winter, then less that 3 weeks before we leave, BAM! Stopped by the store to get the Rx filled, get home only to read 'take 2 tablets by mouth daily with ORANGE JUICE'. I don't have any orange juice, so I get to go back to the store. DS has Sylvan tonight, so I may as well kill some time in Wal-Mart and ONLY buy orange juice. Right...

I hope you feel better soon! I went to bed with itching eyes last night so I started myself on Claritin.

Good luck with that Wal-Mart thing. I know that I could never be that good.

Time to go get the girls. I was sort of hoping the mail lady would have dropped off the mail by now. She's running later than usual today. Guess I better go ...

So, this may have been covered :confused3 during the "Dark Ages" (my term for the period of time I missed out on all the chit chat here), but, what SHORE EXCURSIONs do you all have planned? :thumbsup2

The Officially Unofficial (or is it Unofficially Official) Dis excursion open to anyone who wishes to join in Cozumel itinerary by Ray (CoachPug): 1st tender, 1st taxi to Paradise Beach... - other than that :confused3

DH, Ds and I are touring the ruins in Costa Maya with David and Ivan's tour. Included in our tour is a pre-historic lunch with families at the local village. We're doing the DCL jeep tour in Coz, mainly because DS really wanted to, and it's his vacation, too.

I didn't realize there were still dinosaurs around ..I will have to look into that pre-historic lunch, would Fred Flintstone be cooking the Brauntasaurs burgers?? :rotfl:

You forgot to add, relax and enjoy....

Just a rhetorical question. Why do door to door solicitors still exist? Does anyone actually open their door to a stranger any more (besides my husband, that is)? Just had a nice looking 20 something guy at my door. I'm home alone. I just yell through the door, NO Thanks! I guess they keep at it, for the one in fifty chance they'll get a Kevin.

After scrambling to get the 1st tender and the mad dash for the 1st taxi at the port, that's a given!!! :thumbsup2

We will line up alphabetically by screen name :lmao:

We've only got one frog in our pond. Haven't heard him sing (must need a girl friend first) but he is getting big.

You ask; How do I know that it's a he?? I asked him!! :rotfl2:

Better than kissing him.....

I don't think there are many people that are doing official DCL excursions. We don't have any planned but mainly because DDs are too young. We'll be hanging at the beach. There are a few people that will be diving and something that will be touring ruins. Quite a few are booked with David & Ivan but I'm not sure what all that entails.

Ang

At this point, with Erin being the age she is, the perfect vacation is sitting at the beach as much as possible. It's more relaxing and enjoyable for all of us!

So what thickness of wetsuit are you packing??? Bringing a beanie or hood??

I was going to ask you that question. I have a long sleeve 3 mm shortie and a 3 mm farmer jane -- and a beanie - Sam has a full hood. I would rather only wear the shortie as I can get down easier but....I guess I should pack both - what to do - what to do?????
