Yesterday I had to take Sharon's car into the garage because the rear window would not go up. The garage called me laughing. They found a pink sandle in the mechanism. Wonder were that come from, Lisa.

DD (from KY) called me one time from a Wendy's drive-thru. She had dropped her debit card inside the door between ordering and picking up her food, no cash, asking me what she should do. I told her she needed to go to the dealership or somewhere and have them get it out, and she missed out on lunch, too .

We had a van with a DVD player. It was fairly new, but a design flaw caused us grief one night. It was dark, I was driving. The kids wanted to switch DVDs. Mike went to put in Alice in Wonderland, but put it into the wrong slot. It didn't play, it just went to la la land. There was the correct slot.....and about 1/2 in above it there was another slot (between the console and the DVD player) The way the DVD player was positioned, you couldn't even SEE the slots when you were blindly putting a DVD in.....and DEFINITELY couldn't at night! From then on if you put in a DVD you had to do it SLOWLY and wait to feel it sucking the DVD in.

And then there is the computer with the built in card reader. Brand new (the one Mike built me) and I put in a card from the camera and it also went to la la land. oops.

Wow, I take a couple of days off of reading the boards and it takes a week to catch up! My DD had ear surgery on Monday. Supposed to be a routine thing--take out t-tubes; in and out in 15, but the dr found a growth behind the eardrum. That can be normal with numerous infections, but it was "irregular"(doc's word) He is 95% confident that it is nothing, but only 80% confident that he got it all out. Hmm, to the teacher in me, 80 is a C, not a stellar number. We go for a "head scan" soon, so I would appreciate all the prayers and PD you can send us. Thanks in advance!

Loads of premium pixie dust for DD! Hope all is resolved and Dr. turns in extra credit and brings up that grade!!

We're waiting on Erin's too. I have a note to myself that if we don't have it by the beginning of May, I have to go get her a new birth certificate, because the original we have is with the PP application. I'm still hoping we get it in time, though...

I called the toll free # last night & was told that it was mailed from Charlotte (I think) yesterday. So we should receive it in the next few days.
