Hi!

This will be my 3rd Disney Cruise. The first one was when I was 13...now I'm 29 and taking my 4 year old!!! I went 4 years ago when I was pregnant and we took a 4 day cruise. It was fun, but my husband was sick most of the time! He says he wants to try it again though, so we have to get some strong seasick meds or something to keep him well.

Eight of us are going on the May 27th cruise. My mom and dad, who are renewing their vows on the ship  ...my sister and her husband, my 16 year old brother...and my husband, my 4 year old son, and ME! We are all so excited...we have been planning, shopping, and dieting like crazy!!! :bounce:

Since I found this board a few days ago, I have learned so many things about DCL and some great tips. Just wanted to introduce myself and say HI to all you guys we are cruising with!!! :)

Michelle princess:

Welcome - welcome - welcome --- as you can see we are a chatty bunch. Glad to have you aboard and what a wonderful trip for your parents. Tell you DH that I get seasick as well and have decided to have some medicianal help this trip so as to enjoy every minute.....

Well, this is only the first week and it's a short one. No gym on Friday, even though we have to drive to Orlando to meet Sharon's family.

So far, it has been okay. She and Lisa have been getting home at 10:00 PM. Lisa has all her homework done in the car. Sharon is spending her time doing the same things she did before, Curves, bill paying, etc.

The only real difference so far has been the drive. It becomes more of a scheduling issue. Sharon makes all the lunches on Sunday, for the week so she is pretty creative about what can go into a lunch on Sunday and still be eaten on Thursday.

I cook extra everynight and pack that for her dinner the next night.

Only week one....we will see how it is at week 100.

That is a good definition of TEAMWORK and dedication.

Hello!

:wave2:

Had to read to catch up with you all..............Coming home at 8:30 everynight makes it hard to read everything..........(after dinner, making lunches, and dishes, etc......)

(tchrmom wonders how scubamom is dealing with this now) :confused3

Sherry........You KNOW we love our Crocs. I don't thinik you'll be sorry. Last summer, we were the ONLY ones in FL with them. However, you are starting to see them more and more. When Kelly and I went to CO for her meet in January, EVERYONE had them!

We're out of school on Friday and Monday.but I have jury duty on Monday. YUCK ( my first time ever!) I know it is my "duty"....I just wish it didn't fall on my day off.

OK........Time to do the "dreaded". Order a new bathing suit. If only I'd look like the chick wearing the suit in the catalog!!!!! :furious: I hate ordering a bathing suit!!!!! Who's with me?

Fran
:teacher:

Good Luck with the Jury Duty ---- take the catalogues with you so you can shop for bathing suits.

So it's morning for you guys and i haven't gone to bed yet. Had loads of paperwork to do and just got done.

You rang???
HAHA Yep I swear by them as well! The only thing is my feet have become rather spoiled by them, and revolt if I wear any other shoe....sigh..think I can wear crocs on formal night??!?!?No one will notice right? my feet will be under the table, afterall??

I hate shoes....all shoes.....Being from Florida I was barefoot most of my life.....Mother would yell if I had my shoes, well of course I did.....silly Mother, they were in my hands, not on my feet, but I had them.......

I'd like to see if I could get away without shoes on formal night - after all, the dress is long....I have had to buy two new pairs of shoes for the cuise, both black, both dressy....I have never owned two pair of dressy black shoes before.....but neither ar Crocs..... :teeth:

I have coffee on, Irene...but it might be cold by the time you get here.

I'm thinking I should go try on a pair of Crocs!

I finally found a bathing suit that I thought would be really cute and hide some of the fat. I ordered it....and just my luck, it's on back order until just before the cruise. I highly doubt it will get to me in time....they never do.

Guess I should go to bed now. If I don't, I'll be worthless tomorrow, when I have to present the stuff I was working on!

Have I mentioned lately that I am SO READY for this cruise?? I may stowaway!

Just realized...at least Jay & I get a little R & R. Going to Vegas next Thursday, compliments of the Bellagio. That should be nice.

It looks like we're going to have an expensive drive to FL. I just saw that gas is at $2.69 at the cheap place!

Ang

Bring gas tanks - it is up to 2.99 for regular down here now.....

Irene, I do't have one either. A sister I mean...four older brothers, no sisters.

We can start a club - you, me Amanda - no sisters....the "siterless club"....."the sisters club".....sounds like a book title....now who would play us in the Movie version which would go on to win Acadamy awards... :teeth:

Before I go searching the main board, thought I'd ask here ...

Do they have set times for potty breaks in the kids' clubs? Ashley sometimes gets so enthralled in what she's doing & doesn't think about going potty until it's too late. She hadn't had an accident in MONTHS but over the weekend had 2 ... !!! I don't know what has gotten in to her but hopefully it's a phase. Can I specify that the counselors make her try if they do have set times? That girl has a bladder of steal & sometimes refuses to try. She can go hours w/out going.

Ang

Note to Ang - pack extra underwear for the kids!!!! oh, yes, bottoms too..... :teeth:

Morning Stacey - time for me to clean the house for Easter before wrok....I hate house cleaning, which is why it never gets finished....My version - take junk out of room 1 - move junk to room 2 -- clean room 1. Take junk out of room 2 - move to room 3.....get the picture......it's not the cleaning, it is the "stuff" ...... although I did finally unpack the boxes I tossed the junk in for the hurricanes/.....I feel it is time for an Easter Box - toss all junk into it....sort it later.....yeah, that's the ticket.

Check your pm in a bit please.

A Scond morning Top with STacey

And this time I have Coffee....

I'm going to have to go and try a pair on just to see what all the hoopla is about. Maybe I, too will fall in love with them.

Keep in mind that when you try them on they will feel maybe kinda stiff, but they get all musshy with time and feel awesome! I think that is why it is so hard for me to replace my very 1st pair of black CROCS because they are just right! :cool1:

Amanda, you do like I do. Wear a robe or something up to the deck, slip it off as you ease into the tub. Quickly, while no one is looking! That's why we're doing this when it's really late, and dark!

:lmao: I will plan to be the first one there so I can already be in the hot tub when you all get there!

The first time I saw Crocs was on Fran and company last summer. I hadn't seen them since til just a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps I've seen them and just haven't noticed :goodvibes Amanda, did your Dillards have the Croc Islander? I was at the mall again today so I tried them on. They were pretty comfortable. I didn't buy them 'cause I didn't like the color in my size. The clog style with the holes doesn't fit me - the one without does. It seems to hot though. I came home and was looking online at Keens and Crocs at REI. I saw the Nile style of Crocs that Mary and Amanda mentioned. I like that style. I may have to drive across town to check them out. I thought about those in black to go with my casual black skirt (I like that formal night idea too :teeth: ) I tried on another pair of Keens at the mall too. I'm liking those!

Kevin - that is one gorgeous picture!!!!!

Swimsuits - dread them! Perhaps that's why I'm obsessing over shoes - less time for swimsuits!

Nite everyone,
Sherry

Sherry, nope no Islander style at my mall, of course it took the local DIllards here forever to start carrying them! I dont think they got them in until about Aug/Sept!
