Good morning everyone!! Looks like it's going to be a nice day here in NY. It's 6:44am and the birds are singing and the sun is coming up over the hills.

Thanks for all the prayers and PD for our Pop Pop. This is not going to be an easy day for my DH and SIL. But I know they have the strength for it.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Maria, prayers and PD pixiedust: for your FIL and your family.

That (and many more) was the reason we got our own url! That way, no matter where we go, no matter who the ISP is, our email addys will always be the same.

Thanks. I figured it out before I went to bed. Old one didn't need the @xxx.com to sign in with password. New one wanted it for the sign on. Now on to the 100 or so online user id updates...

And you let him take the remote. He learned that from DH. :rotfl2: It's a guy thing.

And what is up with the kids taking the remote with them where ever they go, we are for ever looking for them, they go get something and the remote goes with them.........scared someone will want to watch something other than Disney!!!!!! :confused3 :teeth: :sad2:

OK friends - I need your prayers and pixie dust. We just got some bad news about my FIL. He just spent this winter going through radiation therapy for stomach cancer and was due for his follow up CT scan. Well, he had that on Wednesday and it wasn't good. They found 2 spots on his lungs that were not there 4 months ago along with a mass near the mediastinal (did I say that correctly?). It doesn't look good. He doesn't know yet. My SIL, who is an Oncology Social Worker(whom he stayed with while getting his radiation), is coming down from Syracuse tomorrow to tell him this news. She found out from the Dr. prior to his scheduled appointment this Monday. I was supposed to take him to the Doctor's, but I can't. I don't know what to say to him after he gets this news and how to act, so I've been relieved.

So, it's NOT good news. He's the only grandparent my kids have left. I just feel so bad for my FIL. He's such a sweet man. He's been a widower for the past 8 years. I just can't believe this.

Any prayers & PD would be much appreciated. Sorry to ramble.....

:wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug: :grouphug: for FIL, you and all the family.

The kids are still sleeping, DH went to play raquet ball, and I am hanging here with the dogs!!!!(not you guys......the 4 legged ones here that give me so much extra work) :rotfl2:

This was posted on another thread and I thought it good to share....

To realize

To realize the value of a sister
Ask someone who doesn't have one.

To realize the value of ten years:
Ask a newly divorced couple.

To realize the value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one-second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.

The origin of this letter is unknown,
But it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.

Do not keep this letter.

Send it to friends & family to whom you wish good luck
and don't forget the one who sent it to you!

Peace, love and prosperity to all!

Remember...
hold on tight to the ones you Love

So thats what we have to look forward too and don't forget dinner at 4pm!!!

We have an RV rally going on at the track...3500 RV's, I think the minimum age is 75..the good thing is there will not be any late nights they will all be asleep by 7 PM, so if any of you live in this area, stay away from the Speedway until after about 6 PM since they will be taking their excursions during the day..

And a TOP to start the DAYpirate:

Oh, Marie, I'm so sorry to hear that news. It's good that your SIL will be able to give him the news. While I'm sure it'll be very hard on her, with her background, I'm sure she's familiar with how people react and will be able to help him deal with the news.

Please know that he and your family are in my thoughts.
