i bought crocs the other week for our trip down to WDW last week. I wore them every day and they were great. Not hurting legs after being on our feet all day long. They werent too hot, as the holes in them help ventilate your feet. I just got another pair to wear to work.

I went on line last night to see if i could arrange for the 2 day rental for tubes and rafts at CC and the site was down.

So how was every one else's day? We slept then went to look for dresses for dominique. She has sprouted up like a weed these past few weeks.

I saw lots of crocs in WDW last week, but no green ribbons. I looked for you, honest!! :wave2: Was glad to hear y'all had a good time (except for EE, but I can certainly understand Dominique not liking that backwards part - it almost takes the wind out of me :scared1: ) Welcome home! It won't be long till we'll all be meeting up on the ship :woohoo:

I'm just doin' a little work towards that post goal............

I've read some of those shoe threads.............What are your opinions? How many of you have Crocs and/or Keens? I was at Dillards the other day and they have Crocs - they had the flip flops and the clogs with the holes. Actually I think they had the solid clogs too. They were all on one particular display area. I was walking around and on one of the tables they had a Croc Islander (I think that was the name). It was more of a shoe - had the holey type base and kind of a boatshoe type top - the leather across the instep with the leather shoe lace. They were cute in a funny kind of way. I didn't try them on. They, as well as the clogs, seem like they'd be hot. I also didn't feel like dealing with a salesperson - I hate that the shoe dept is on commission. I feel bad trying things on unless I know I'm going to buy. I shouldn't feel that way...... Do the Crocs provide much support? I need arch support. My feet are wide as well - seems like the Croc's would be good for that. I've been a birkenstock girl, but since I broke my foot a couple of years ago I feel better in my tennis shoes (side support). I did try on the Keen Newport H2 today at Sports Chalet. They were quite comfy for that short amount of time. I'm not too sure on the width - I couldn't decide if they'd bother me after awhile. I looked at the men's 'cause often they're wider, but they are higher on the side and I was afraid they might rub the ankle. I should have tried anyway. So, enough rambling! I guess I shouldn't have had that caffeine :teeth:
Sherry

Sherry,
If no one has answered I love love love my CROCS! They are the best. I too have the curse fo the FLINTSTONE feet! These are the greatest. I even use mine when excercising! I just wen to Dillards this evening and bought a new color (turquise) and some of the new ATHENS style, which are more like flip flops. THey are great! I have the Beach style ( the holey kind) and they are not hot!

PS it has just ddawned on me that we have not heard from SCOOPIE lately? Where is that little guy?

Just finished American Idol, not terribly impressed with anybody tonight. We had a birthday dinner, DD picked sushi. A far cry from the 6 year old whose favorite meal was baked chicken and mashed potatoes. What a difference 9 years makes! One of our stops today was to register her for Driver's Ed this summer. Their first question "how old are you" was honestly answered "15!"

How did that happen? Off to watch one of her birthday presents, the "Pride and Prejudice" DVD. Or maybe Gilmore Girls.

I do like my crocs. But in WDW, I get a little bit of wet feet in them, which causes blisters. So I wear them with socks. Yes, it's major geeky, but better than blisters!

WAAAAAAY back on post 6935, Jim shared his Prime Rib recipe....
I dug it out of my recipe book and was going to type it out, but it's too long (gotta take the kids to the dentist here shortly)....

So here it is:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=8830493&postcount=6935

OM - Thanks for going back and finding that recipe. It's just about what I do except for the cooking part. I have a convection oven that has the thermometer that you plug into the oven directly. It works wonders!!! It gets that crust on the outside and oh so moist on the inside. A little Au Jus and life is good.

Thanks again.

Being a Queen fan, I too watched Idol tonight and I'd have to say this in somewhat detail of it:

I think Kelly did the best job of it all around both in singing and presentation. Ace was totally flat. Taylor did ok, but came off a bit more 50's-ish than the song is, but Mary tells me that's his style. Elliot got the closest to...invoking the spirit of the music, but came off geeky in presentation. Paris sang the best, but the singing was overrun by the music at points.

I found them a bit.. frictiony after getting them wet, but a bit of handwashing with some mild soap fixed that for me.

Ohhh, OK. I've never been before so I wouldn't have realized that. Off to the store to get a 2nd one.

Thank you Irene...

I am cooking Tequila Lime Leg of Lamb, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, still trying to figure out veggies and other items, but that is the start of the Easter Menu..

Let me just say 1 thing...I love lamb! If it was up to me, we'd have lamb but not all of my company likes it. Argggg!!!

I seem to remember one of the dinner items on the regular menu on DCL was a lamb item and I had it and found it very good :) So you'll have a shot at one at least.

You may not have a Trader Joes' nearby. But they have Indian cooking sauces, all ready to go in jars. I buy their leg of lamb, pour a couple of jars of curry on it, bake it. Mmmmm good!

One thing I got that I will NOT do a cruise without, though, is a "sweater organizer" to hang in the closet. I used that instead of drawers for all of my foldable clothes and it was fantastic!

What's a "sweater organizer"?

i will be joining the geeky looking folks. I have socks on with my crocs that i am wearing to work.

Laura, I'm not surprised you didnt see us. This was one of the most relaxing Disney trips we have taken. We spent more time at the room, than we did in the parks. We were there 5 nights and didnt see even 1 of the night time shows. We would go for a couple of hours and then back to the room we went. We did go to DTD on Friday afternoon and buy Dom a new Belle dress.

we spent probably 6 hours there. longer than we stayed at any of the parks
