Almost forgot, my baseline on the treadmill practice "5k". Yes, I did it! My goal was to get 48 minutes (basically double Jim's). I got 47:96! And no where to go but up :woohoo:

Pam, will the orders be filled as you get them or will you submit them all after the deadline? Yes, I still need to fax mine in to you.

Angie

Angie -- they will be filled all together at one time after the deadline.

Hubby got home this evening from his trip. Kinda glad, because we have a 3 day swim meet starting tomorrow. Need another driver for the other child. Will be glad when we get him his car this summer.

I have to run and go pick Ashley up in about 15 minutes from Church. She started confirmation classes last week, which will run through the end of April. All of the family is coming into town the last weekend in April for her confirmation and also the first swim meet of the long course (meters instead of yards) season. That is going to be one busy weekend.

Way to Go Jeri!!

But wouldn't a lower time be better?? :rolleyes1 :teeth: :stir:

Hi folks - checking in tonight. Strane day - it started at the office - you know - "life as we know it will come to an end unless......is completed within the next 10 minutes (right :teeth: ).

Then I escaped for a wedding shower at luch - quite nice -mixed - guys and gals, a lunch with no fru fru - just some good toasts and a "wishing well" or presents.

Then off to a meeting 2 hours north - very productive, then hit the road home....

meanwhile Sam calls, he has been diving with the manatees (unfair) and in the springs ( real unfair) and had a great day.

I had planned on meeting special girlfriend, but no, meeting went too long...

Found a good book on the way home....and stopped by the mall (gasp) - it is not Chistmas, and actually found a dress for Palo's

CRUISE RELATED THREAD ----

on sale, dirt cheap actually -

Life is good....

Now, about that cat that no one claimed this morning.....

I have a big favor to ask - tomorrow around 1pm please say a prayer for Lisa at her State Gymnastics Meet. She has worked VERY hard all year and this meet determines who does or does not go to Regionals. She is very nervous and feeling a lot of pressure (especially from her Coach who Lisa may be her only hope of taking one of her gymnasts on to a Regional Meet). Thanks. Sharon

Lisa is wonderful and I hope she does go to Regionals, but even if she has an off day, she is still fantastic

1:00 it is..... :grouphug:

Will do! pixiedust:

Maybe a bit of Banfi would help her deal with the pressure?(The COACH, of course...the COACH...what are the rest of you thinking :scared1: )

Best Wishes, Lisa!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

If Lisa makes regionals, I will by Mommy and Daddy the Banfi on Friday...

(no pressure there Lisa, none at all.......

A TOP with Lisa, REgionals and Banfi

Can life get any better :cloud9:

I was looking forward to Lisa's state meet because it is in SE Florida, dive country.

I was all set to dive Rodeo 25 which is a deep wreck, but the winds kicked up today. All diving cancelled today and tomorrow. I have tanks, but no place to go. :confused3

Guess I'll just go to our south Florida office and work. What a drag!

At least we are meeting Irene on the way home for dinner.

To bad she does not like Banfi or I would take a bottle, one that Lisa earned.

And here I was promising to buy another bottle for Lisa, whether she qualified or not....This will "learn" me to read the posts backwards and not forwards.

:p :p :p

Hey all! Just checking in while the pork chops are on the grill. DD in the bath after another great swim session. She is so ready for the pool!

Interesting news I found today. I work for a small company (150 folks) and we were supposed to merge with another company of about 500 folks at the end of Feb. Today we are told the merger is off. :confused3 Wierd, well I like small companies better so guess this means I will be traveling again soon. Well let you know when and where cuz I might bump into one of you never know. :wave2:

Oops, got the "look" better run for now...

Extra pixie dust for the future.... :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Cool... haven't been there yet... I would imagine that they already know you on a first-name basis!

I beg your pardon. Today was my first time in that store, but I will be back.

Good for you. You did a 5k.

Now from here you can start working on your personal best.

Sharon and I are very different is some regards. I'm not concerned about her making regionals. She's good and will pull that off.

I'm more concerned about her making the Florida Team which is only the top 8 girls in the stae. We have a huge bet riding on that and it involves a cruise for three people.

Tomorrow I will find out if I have to pay off.

Just for Lisa - starting Friday Kareoke early -

I believe I can Fly

I used to think that I could not go wrong
And life was nothing but that an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

2-If I can see it, then I can do (be) it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

1-I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
(Oh) I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes inside us, it can seem so long
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me

Regarding "taxes" I can tell you as a former Cobb County resident (Lassiter High School District) that "unincorporated Cobb" has some of the lowest taxes you'll find anywhere - and GREAT County services! Gwinnett County (we're in Unincorporated Gwinnett) property taxes are HIGH and the roads probably the most congested you'll find in metro Atlanta. :confused3
Laura, Okay you used to live in Cobb County (Lassiter Area), which is where I live now. You also have a line below you name that says wants to dine with Kansas. What's that mean? I grew up in Kansas, and was wondering the significance of the line under your name. Did you used to live there too? Susan
