Perhaps it is my magnetic personality! :crowded: ;)

Oh, well, maybe that explains what happened to your computer. From now on, try to keep you head away from the hard drive! ;) :lmao:

Who are the DISers renting from? Just wanted some input. :thumbsup2

We're renting from Budget. From what I got here on the boards, they were the closest and best priced in the area. Good luck.

Speaking of Magnets - I'll share this door sign tip...

Great Ideas (inser pat on back smilie) :thumbsup2

Dis Cruise Line sent a great oversized post card of the Sept 11 day cruises....It is a holographic type, with Mickey, and friends peeking out of banana leaves with the ship in the background, it should be the Wonder but I cannot tell...Anyway, stick on magnets and voila -

Cute - rhight :cool1:

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!! I DID that same thing! Actually, I had a sheet of magnet paper that went through and didn't work (for the 10 day cruise---but I kept it in case I needed it) so I had the entire back covered with magnet.

Hung it on my door on the DVC member cruise I believe it was.

Someone stole it. :( :( :(

Cat for sale - FREEE.......I promise she can jump up on your buffet and knock down all the china St. Patty's decorations so the crash onto the dive gear, (see Jim, I was ready) then onto the wood floor and land on the ceramic tile by the door.....Woke up the entire neighbourhood I am sure....

And it did not break? But I still yelled at the cat...

Cat for Free......

No. It'd have to be "cat for trade." Mine jumped up and broke a big ceramic mixing bowl thing that I had MADE at one of those pottery places. Damaged the pergo in the kitchen.

Then he jumped up and laid down on the top of a bookcase and pushed a planter off with his feet. A big heavy terra cotta one. And damaged the pergo (badly) int he sunroom.

He's destroyed nearly as much as Maggie did!!

For once, I got the same DCL mail that everyone else got... woo hoo... they actually KNOW who I am!!!! (Even though I STILL can't change my address on my AP... they claim that I don't exist... whatever...)

Karen - you are proof of what i was going to say to Irene. While I agree it would make a great looking magnet it will most likely get stolen. That's why it is better to make personalized magnets. No one wants one that says Mark & Mary or WDWLVR & MarkRG. Sad to say even though it is Disney there are people who will ruin it for others. :(

Kevin, have you been reading about the sinking in May of the carrier in Pensacola? It will be 3 times bigger than the SG. They plan on sinking it in mid-May and start diving it a few days later.

It's a 7 hour drive from here.

Any interest?
Are you KIDDING?? I can't wait! :thumbsup2 Yet another dive site to add to the list!!

Check this out:

Oriskany sinking set for May 17
William Rabb
@PensacolaNewsJournal.com
If all goes according to plan, the Oriskany will sink to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico on May 17, and scuba divers could be allowed on the decommissioned aircraft carrier as soon as two days later, local and Navy officials said Wednesday.

"To all those disbelievers who said this would never happen, I accept your apologies," joked retired Vice Adm. Jack Fetterman, who has spearheaded the effort to secure the famed Navy ship, during a meeting on the project at the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Oriskany, which saw duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars, will become the first aircraft carrier to be scuttled deliberately as an artificial reef so close to shore -- 22.5 miles south of Pensacola.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency gave final approval for the sinking last month. Navy officials said Wednesday that the ship should return to the Pensacola Naval Air Station next Wednesday from Texas, where it rode out the 2005 hurricane season.

Work will begin shortly to clean it up and prepare it for sinking, said Capt. Pete Frano, commanding officer of Pensacola NAS.

Navy and county officials outlined several key points about the sinking, which has been three years in the making and is expected to draw hundreds of tourists annually:

· No one other than workers will be allowed on the ship while it is being prepared for sinking, and while it is being towed to sea.

· No ceremonies will be conducted when tugs begin towing the Oriskany out to sea, probably around May 15, because explosives already will be on board. Instead, a special ceremony for former crew members and invited guests will be conducted May 13 at the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola NAS.

· Private boats will be allowed to witness the sinking but must stay at least a mile away from the Oriskany at all times. The sinking will commence at first light on May 17, and it could take all day for the ship's hull to fill with water.

· The 48- to 96-hour wait period is necessary before diving is allowed to make sure no material breaks loose from the 888-foot carrier. Security boats will be on hand to keep divers away until safety is assured, officials said.

· The coordinates of the sinking location are: 30 degrees, 2 minutes north latitude, and 87 degrees, 0 minutes west longitude, said Robert Turpin, Escambia County's chief of marine resources.

Good morning everyone,

Hubby is doing good. The novacane is wearing off cause he's feeling the pain in his knee now. That is just what the Dr. said would happen. Moving right along in recovery.

No a pretty day here in NY. It's supposed to be warm, but not too sunny. I'll say it again...weird winter here.

Give him our best wishes. I had that same procedure done a few years ago and it was a great relief. The meniscus was catching my knee joint everytime it was bent. VERY distracting. Anyway, my point is that it didn't take long to heal and feels great now!!

:welcome: Welcome to all our newcomers. We're growing by leaps and bounds now. The more the merrier.

Please check out Mary's(WDWLVR) website for information about our cruise. We are ordering a bag and T-shirts. You can print out the order form and all orders must be in by April 7th.

Jump right in...as you can see, we're a happy group. A littel crazy at times, but we know how to have fun.

Thanks Kevin. The Dr. said that there was a big "flap" that he cleaned up and some arthritis. I know he'll feel much better once his recovery is over. Thanks again.

Maria or Pam:

How do we calculate shipping on the t-shirt/bag order form? Is it a per item fee, a flat rate, or by dollar total? There is a place to put the shipping amount in, but no info on how to calculate... or am I missing something???

Thanks!!!

Karen - good question. Pam---are you out there? Pam would know better than me. I think it's too early to call Texas just yet. I'll get back to ya, but I bet Pam posts before that.

I assumed that the shipping would be calculated for us, depending on the shipping distance, weight, etc. But then, I assume a lot of things..... :teeth:

We live in unincorporated North Fulton County. Our address is Alpharetta. We're almost to the Forsyth border... probably less than 5 miles. They are working on adding a lane to GA 400 right now. The lane extension will go up to Exit 12 (McFarland). That's where you'll hit the border of Fulton & Forsyth. One thing to note about unicorporated N. Fulton ... there is a big push right now to pass bills that will allow us to vote on becoming a city .. this is both in the north & east unincorporated areas ... 2 different cities. If it passes, we will be voting this summer. We LOVE the area that we live in. The public schools are great. I'm not sure about Forsyth county schools. You'd have to compare. As for traffic on 400. If you're on before 7:00 AM in the morning, your drive should be ok. And for the afternoon .. on before 4:00 PM.

We never REALLY compared taxes. We figured that we picked our area based on convenience (and schools) and we'd just have to suck it up when it comes to taxes! But from what I remember, there really wasn't THAT big of a difference.

Angie

What does that mean Unicorporated? Does that mean you know cant have companies come in? :confused3 Where you are living right now is where we are looking! Cool :rolleyes2

Our cat does this too. All the time, he thinks any attention is good attention I guess. I know the vast majority of cats would never dream of knocking anything off shelves etc., so how come we all got stinker cats?
