Back to number crunching. :headache: I'm obviously trying to keep from giving any more of our money to the government than I absolutely have to. Would rather spend it cruising! :boat:

It is slightly milder than Mean Girls and if my DD was 10 I would think it would be a good one to see and have good conversation afterwards. She is actually pretty inquisitive. At three she wore me down with technical questions about how her "seed" got into my belly. Last week it was how many eggs do I have left, how many does she have..then she informed me you can tell if its a boy or girl by how many Xs they have.....
haha that sounds like my DD! OMGoodness...which would explain why we are so open about that stuff now! LOL It has been happening since i was pregnant with DS Max and then even worse when I was pregnant with Nate. In fact, she checked out a book from the library, and she said. Mom, howcome all the girls in this book ( it was a comic book type book) are showing their stomachs....sigh...it starts...LOL THanks for letting me know about the movie....SHe has been itching to go see it. I dont know if I can sit thru it though...was it just bad or REALLy bad (for you!) ;)

I've never had any trouble "talking truth" to my kids because my parents were very open with us. When I was in high school all the other girls knew they could ask me questions, because if I didn't already know, I could go ask my Mom and she wouldn't freak out about it.

Last night, Jordan said to me, out of the blue, "I love you". My response (after I said "I love you too") was "What did you do?". ;) She told me that she loved me because all of her friends think she has the coolest Mom. I've never believed in being my kids "friend"....I have a job to do as their Mom....but it's nice that the kids at least think I'm fair.

You are double lucky then. I love my Mom dearly but she started to have the birds and bees discussion with me when I was 17! I saw how uncomfortable she was so I explained that we had learned everything in special health classes at school. She was so relieved.

So I decided that if my DD is old enough to ask a serious question I would giver her the answer.. I just never realized how detailed she gets sometimes I have to look things up when she is in the other room (ex. zygote). Anyway I hope that we continue to have an open conversation when she is in her teens like you describe.

I am dreading doing our taxes this year. Usually it is not a big deal, I use turbo tax badda bing badda boom. But this year we have a problem. As long as DH and I have been employed we have contributed to the employee stock purchase paln (14 years for him and 8 years for me) Every pay period we put x money towards stock. Well at the beginning of 2005 they discontinued the program and sent out checks.....I have been to turbo tax and tried to input the info and it wants to know the exact dates we purchased stock????Uhmmmmmmm I dont know!!!!!!!!!sigh..........

Love the design and the design in the sand is such a great idea, how did you do that??

The design in the sand was already there. DVC hired some sand artists to do a sand sculpture the day we were on the island. Here is what it really looked like:

33.jpg

So the picture we started with had the sand sculpture and the ship in the background. Since we can't use the DVC logo or Mickey on the shirts (our group is looking at having them done on either cafepress or zazzle) I enlisted Mark's help with Paint Shop Pro to get rid of them. Then I added in the other text, cropped the picture into an oval and added the wording around the outside. Our cruise isn't until October so we are still in the talking design stage for the shirts. There have been some other awesome designs but they incorporated the characters and can't be used. Still waiting to see if anyone else comes up with anything.

Jeri,
I feel the same as you and I think it is great that you have that attitude towards your DD. I think I am a pretty open mom. My parents were so strict with us, I feel that it was not healthy. I have always vowed to try things differently with my kids. I am tough on my kids, but I am also very silly with them....we have a good time together:-)

You can make it through, its not bad really, just have low expectations (ha ha).

On the employee stock program tax issue, I would have thought the compancy would had sent you a summary with that information along with the check?

Im off for a bit, cya

Om,
Dont you have a picturemate? I have one and I have loved it, but it seems to print a really great pic one time and then the next one looks like crud! I have tried all the maintenance options, to no avail. I was just wondering if you have experienced this as well??

uhmmmmm...probably.....DH got the checks and in his excitement, who knows....he converted the stock money into gold....sigh....now i cant find a number to even get in touch with the folks to request another copy.....surely we cant be the only idiots that did not keep the summary?????? Dont answer that ....

Unless there is a pirate: out there I think I amy try to grab a TOP while I am here

I am finally done with our 2005 scrapbook. 54 12 x 12 pages covering our June trip to WDW, our road trip to the DVC Member Cruise, our quick November weekend for Food & Wine Festival, and our December trip to Disneyland. I'm so happy that is done! Now I just need to reclaim my dining room as a dining room. :)

Since I'm still in the Turtle League, improving just happens.

A lady was running with her little dog today. I vowed not to be beat by a 15 lb dog. I passed her/it at 1.5 mile mark. The dog beat a lot of people today. Glad I was not one of them.

How come that "goal" is not in your signature???

How clever is that??? Kids are really a lot more precocious now than they used to be.
When I was pregnant with Jared, Jay asked Jordan how the baby got in Mommy's tummy and she said "Mommy swallowed him!" :rotfl:

That's called cannibalism and it's frowned on in most societies. :lmao:

Yeah, I do. The only two problems I've ever had were easily fixed. Once I put the paper in upside down, so the ink stuck (or rather, DIDN'T stick) to the back. I touched it and It smeared everywhere.

The second problem was b/c I didn't use it for quite some time and one of the thingies must have had gooped up paint in it (so the picture came out all greens and browns....no other color. I ran it through the "cleaning" mode and then did a test and it did fine after that.

Do you have the regular one or the deluxe (with the screen on top)?

That is very cool, isn't it? I think Mark and Mary should make ALL of our signs! ::yes:: :rolleyes1

ummmmm - no!

Wow yesterday you were worried I was overworked by doing mini magnets now you want me to do door signs for everyone. I don't think so! :lmao:
