Supposed to have a great week of weather here in NY. Should get warmer and warmer as the week goes. Saturday it's supposed to get up to 60 degrees. Cloudy, but warm. This has got to be one of the strangest North East winters on record. Hot one day/week, snow the next. The poor flowers are confused. The groundhog must've been drinking some Fairytale or Banfi in his hole. Mmmmm, not a bad idea.

OK, gotta go and get my day started. Talk to y'all later.

Have a great day. Happy Hump Day!!!! :goodvibes

Good Morning!!

I'm back online this morning on the home computer. Spent last night formatting, reloading windows and updating to the lastest SP's and critical updates. Still have to reload the programs that went bye, bye.......

I'm going to see if I can get anything off that old drive now.....

wish me luck!

Wanted to check in and say HI - Welcome to all of the newcomers....

It's been a busy stressful few weeks - thought I'd give an update on things.....

We had a big meeting with hospital administration - sort of gave them - the "you need to fix things or we're out of here" speech. They have responded well - and have reinforced to me that they don't want EMP or me to leave.... that's a good thing.

My son Jason is in from England - and will be visiting the next few days - he brought his girl friend with him - She just finished her stint in the AF. I think she's from NM - but details are sketchy as she's real quiet.....

My dad was taken to the hospital again the other day with a fever - most likely a virus - but just makes it hard on my mom..... It was good that Jason and Kristin were able to be there to see him - and he got to meet the girlfriend....

Now of course - Kristin, Jason and Yolanda (GF) are all sick. Lauren is so worried about them coming as she wants Jason and Yolanda to come to her Dance Choreography Showcase on Friday. I hope that they can.

I'll be back later - and try and check in more....

Irene - hope things get better for you.

Maria - glad DH is doing ok....

Take care!!!

pirate:

Saw Kevin's post and it reminded me that the hard drive on my Powerbook crashed (Toshiba made HD).... had to send it back to Dallas for repair - it's back and I'm able to use it again - just have to reload all of the programs too...

Hello. My family is on this cruise also. DW, DH, DS (17), DD (10)

Does anyone know if you can book the teen excursion in advance? I can't find it on the reservations.

HI!! Welcome!

I did book "The Wild Side" for my daughter (14) for Sunday. I just went to DCL and it is not available. You may want to check back early Monday morning. I think I'm correct(?), that is the 75 day mark for the 1st timers. I hear they hold a certain amount of reservations for that group...you may be able to snag it then. I'm really surprised that excursion has booked since there will be two days @ CC!

Good Luck!!

Good morning all you early birds!

We were really pooped last night. DH has been working hard to finish the redwood swing, adirondack chair and birdhouses for DD's school auction. DD worked very hard in swim lessons last night and I worked hard to meet "someones challenge" for 2 a day workouts! :yay:

As if that was not enough of a challenge, I thought while on the treadmill, maybe I could aspire to be like Jim who on a whim jumps up in the morning and runs a 5k! (this was a thought because I was breathing so heavy while walking that I could not actually speak:)). So Jim just for the sake of my on punishing challenge...what was your time?

Good Morning

I am at work without Sue. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

But she is coming down next week. It is a slow day.

TiggerinNY- sending good thoughts your way and your DH way too.

Hey all -- haven't had much time to chat the last few days. Hubby is in Glencoe, Georgia this week on training and I have been running like a mad woman. That's okay -- he will get his turn when I am in Orlando at the end of the month. Only 3 more weeks:thumbsup2

If everyone could do me a huge favor. When sending in your order forms, maybe put your disname up in the corner. That way I can pm you that I received the form. Some of you I can tell who you are, others, I am not so sure about.

Thanks

Good morning everyone,

OK, hubby had his meniscus surgery and everything went well. He's hobbling around but not in pain. Thank goodness. Really nice doctor. Apparently, very good too. He will be home for the rest of the week with me. Don't know if I'm happy or sad about that ;) . I brought my laptop to the hospital but they didn't have WiFi. I couldn't DIS...oh well.

Not too many pages to get could up on. Where was everyone yesterday?

Some added Pixie Dust for his recovery.

Hot one day/week, snow the next.

Please do your best to make sure that April 9-12 is one of the 'hot' weeks... I just got word that I have a meeting in Philly... I know how 'spring' can be in the Northeast & MidAtlantic... late season blizzards are NOT that uncommon!!!!

(Then, two weeks later, its a wedding in Boston... I distinctly remember snow in May in 2001... lets not have any late-season precip!!!!) 3 trips before the cruise... that should sure make time fly!!!!! (Or at least it will make ME fly...)

Less than 700 to go - yes? :stir: :stir:

You shootin' for a milestone with less than 700 to go!! Wow!! That is determination!!! :)

Hey Amanda,

How will the possible AT&T/BellSouth merger impact you?

Just got an email from a friend today. Headhunter contacted her husband about a job in Columbus. I'm hoping that something will come through for them there. I'd like to see them more often. They live in MI now. And before OHMinnie starts with any name calling ... they moved there from LA so they have no allegiances to MI universities.

That brings up another thought. Emily has gotten in to the habit of boo'ing UGA stickers/license plates/magnets on cars. The other day I told her that maybe we shouldn't boo UGA since she may be going to school there one day. IF the HOPE scholarship is still around & we're still in GA & my kids don't get full academic scholarships, they WILL be going to GA school. I'm sure DH would rather them go to GA Tech though.

YAY!!!! Glad to hear this will work out for you (but then I had the feeling it would!!)

Where to live? Your husband will be working by the "top end Perimeter" - that's I-285 and there are fabulous, wonderful places to live nearby. :yay: It depends what kind of $$$$ you want to spend. My advice would be to locate a realtor who's an Atlanta relocation specialist - they'll have all sorts of "statistics" at their fingertips, plus first hand advice since they know the area inside and out. Just off the top of my head, great locations would include Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Duluth, Roswell, Marietta. These are all considered "north metro". I know there are lots of wonderful communities on the south side, but I'm not familiar with them - plus, if your husband will work on the top end, life will be easier if you live on the north side (IMO!!).

Again, congratulations and :welcome: TO ATLANTA!!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for the advice! You are right, I guess because of traffic and all we will try and live north of that area. Lot of areas!! Thanks again!!! :woohoo:
