You will get used to it, honest. Just take it slow. In other words, slow down as you eat, read, DIS....make your movements concious and slooooower. You'll also find that starting to wear new glasses in the middle of the day, or early evening, is harder. When you get up and put them on in the morning, it won't seem so bad.

I dunno. Now I'll have to see what I actually LOOK like in the mirror first thing in the morning. My last prescription was about 7 years ago. I've looked pretty good in the mornings for the last 5 yrs!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Try it....look over your left shoulder with both eyes open. Now close your right eye. Can you tell a difference? If I leave both eyes open, I tend to see too much of the frames of my glasses, and it's better with the one eye shut.

It's heck getting old.

WOW. That DOES help....a lot. I think I'll go through life looking over my shoulder with one eye shut. It's actually BETTER than looking straight ahead!!! :lmao:

Does this make me officially "old?"

There was a family from Carefree, AZ on the 10 night Christmas cruise with us....Jared knows the son from school, but neither one knew the other was cruising until they ran into eachother on the ship. Jared tells me that the family is cruising with us on this cruise, too. They obviously are not DISer's. I just think it's funny that someone who lives in the same basic area will now have been on two cruises with us.

btw, stopped at sam's. found the rolling coolers. wasn't sure how much wine it would hold so wheeled it over to the wine dept. we figure fully opened and full of wine it would never pass as a carry on (no way would fit under a seat or in the overhead bin) BUT....we were able to get 7 bottles in and still have it close using the flap instead of the zipper. Good enough for us. Plus the special bottle Mr. Scuba is having bottled.

BUT...if we wanted to, we could swing by a store after our flight lands and buy about 5 or 6 more bottles and it'd be no problem getting that on the ship.

HOPEFULLY I can lift the thing over my head into the overhead bin with all that wine in it ;)

Very impressive that you are starting to plan you wine use for the trip.

I remember someone who did not take any wine along....wonder who that was? :rotfl:

You may also find that when you're driving, and you need to change lanes or you're backing up, you may have to look over your shoulder, and close the "opposite" eye to see clearly.

When Matt changes lanes I close BOTH eyes. :lmao:

Sounds like Kikipug when she started Stalking us. Thank goodness Molly stays out front to protect us from DISers. :thumbsup2

Ok, I finally got all the stuff for the Dole Whips, well I might of improvised a bit. I couldnt find cans of crushed pineapple so I got fresh chunks. I can crush them up but what consitutes crushing? Just mash them or put them in the blender? Then there was the hunt for cherries. I could not find any cherries in produce (are they not "in season"?) so found some in a jar. By now you have figured out that I dont do much of the cooking:). This is going to be fun.

Let us know how it turns out, I am trying the other recipe, bought all the stuff so am going to throw it in the machine tomorrow so we can have it for dinner Friday.
