What is the deal on the Expedition Everest preview...I have been meaning to check - but tooo lazy!!!!

It was from Thurs until sometime this week I think. I just received an email from WDW about it, about a month b4 our cruise and since we were going to be in town fir the first day and are passholders, we decided to check it out. It was the first time we have ever gotten to ride something before it has officially opened, so it was exciting to us simply for that fact. But you have to be either and AP holder and a DVC member. THey had the back part of the park roped off, a little after the entrance for Kali, and they were checking APs and picture ID or whatever you all have to identify you as a DVC member. There was a lot of people back there, but the line itself wastn so bad. Like I said I never really checked out the standby time as some kind person handed us their fastpasses! The line for purchase things was worse than the line for the ride, I can tell you that! It was worse than the line I saw this past May to get into Tatooine traders for Star Wars weekends!

Thanks Angie. I am a total Band Mom. I am always doing stuff for the band whether Middle School or High School. I never did band in school, but both of my brothers did. Most of the band kids are all really good kids.

I just found out Friday that I will probably be in Orlando March 30 - April 2 for a conference for work. I wonder if I will be able to get on Expedition Everest then. I am both an AP holder and DVC. Anyone heard what they are going to be doing for previews then??? Here's hoping for a little pixie dust so I can ride EE while I am there.

I just learned about them after the cruise myself. It is a circle of friends who commit to work on each others scrapbooks over a period of time. You start your scrapbook (and they are usually the smaller ones - mine is like 8x8). You do the cover, intro page (where you name your theme and rules), sign in pages, and your spread. Then the organizer gives you the name of who you will pass off to. You start by passing yours off to that person and you get someone elses. Then each month you pass off to the same person and you get a new one to work on. At the end of the period everyone gets theirs back. We have 8 people in our group so it will take 8 months to get ours back.

What you get back is a wonderful book of memories, seeing things through multiple points of view, and sharing styles with your friends.

I'm really looking forward to doing it!

Welcome. My DS will be 16 and DD will be 11. There are several teen and betweeners on this trip so I'm sure your's will fit right in.

Hi Skeegan - jump right in. Be sure and check out Mark and Mary's site as they have all the good information on it. Maria will be handling ordering shirts and I am ordering some excursion bags. They are on the website. If you want one, let me know. I will have an almost 16 yo son and an 11yo daughter on the cruise. Lots of kids on this cruise.

We really don't have anything planned.....at one point, we will need to start talking about our onboard DIS Meet....but we've been too busy yapping about our lives to get to that yet.

We have a daughter who will be 16 at cruise time, her friend who will be 15, and our son will be almost 13.
