Tulum is much more impressive. It has 60 structures and temples, and is on a cliff over-looking the ocean and is said to have stunning views....plus they have the beach stop included in that, and new visitor facilities onsite.

Mike and KT have done the Tulim tour. The beach stop is...well, interesting. We have pictures of a bunch of Mexican kids playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean....all without suits on. Most of them were just wearing underwear (which you know what happens when that gets wet) Even the developing girls were just wearing underwear bottoms!

Well, it is that time of the morning. Wish me luck. I am heading into the lion's den. Time

Wow. Scared me for a minute. Up by us the "Lion's Den" is a large chain of adult book/toy stores. :stir: (insert my favorite smiley here...he seems to be missing this morning---the eye poppin' guy)

Just when you get used to the icons, they change them....... :confused3

Oh well,

BTW, love your sign!!! Can you see now Stacey?? :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone!! Sorry I haven't been around for a few days - so easy to fall WAY behind trying to keep up with this group!!!

I'm heading to WDW early tomorrow morning. Hope to get to AK in time to ride EE tomorrow afternoon.

Stay safe & healthy everyone - this group has had its share of worries lately.

See you all real soon!

Well, now that would be interesting going to your Lion's Den.

We ran and came back safe and sound. Sharon may even admit to having a good time. This morning was the kick off to the Rolex 24 so we actually ran on the course they will be running. Standing at the bottom and looking up at the high banks is pretty impressive. I hear Lisa had to walk up to the top of the high banks.

We did have a DIS moment this morning.

Sharon wanted to know how this one 20 year old girl did. She really looked like a runner, really fit. But we needed to know her number so I, being the good husband, tracked her down and checked out her number.

I assured Matt that I was only looking at her number. He asked me what color her eyes were. :rolleyes1

What a good wife I have....to tell me to go check out some other lady's.......

BTW - I beat that trim looking young runner by 30 seconds.

Laura - Have a great trip. Let us know what you think about EE. Sorry things were so crazy when we tried to meet up in December. Traveling with family is sooo much fun (not);) I was looking forward to our trip in May when we would be on our own to do what we wanted to. Anyway -- have fun

Being in front of the fit little runner was the "best" place to be!! :rolleyes1

for your own good!!

We're used to seeing that at most of the places we have gone. It's just not something you would see at the beaches the ship's excursions take you to.

And our "Lion's Den" places are called "Castle Boutique"....I doubt they have anything to do with Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty. princess:

Jim - hope you and the family enjoy the 5K. Tell Sharon and Lisa it is practice for getting first in line at the cruise! :)

I had to laugh at this comment...

I guess we've had too much 'packing list' talk on the boards lately... I'm starting to have cruise dreams already...

Last night, I dreamed that we were leaving on the cruise this morning, but it was still the morning of the Rolex and the 5K (as you know, Ray works at the Speedway)... well, the dream goes like this... he tells me he's going to be done working as soon as the 5K is done... I pick him up a the track after dropping the dog off at the kennel, and he tells me we need to go home because he hasn't packed yet!:furious: (I'm driving the yellow Corvette pace car BTW... we've used it before, but certainly NOT to go on vacation...)

I can't believe that he didn't pack, so I start rattling off the list of things he needs... tux, shorts, bathing suit, etc., etc., etc, but he doesn't need any medication 'cause OM has it covered... he tells me its going to take a while, so I tell him... FORGET IT... I'M HITCHING A RIDE WITH THE SCUBAS. (There was no way I was going to be the last DIS'er on board!)The only other thing I remember was that all the Scubas and I were in Sharon's Beetle, :crowded: with my luggage on the roof... (I have no idea where my kids were during this whole thing...)

Hey... another TOP... with the Scuba family, Mary, my dog, and weird dreams!

But they WERE on a Disney excursion!

Are ya'll doing Tulim on your own or through Disney?

But you can't. Because the Scubas left the night before to camp out at the terminal parking lot. ;) :stir:

Definately doing it through Disney. There are some things I'd feel comfortable doing on our own, but this isn't one of them.

I hear they are leaving right from JB's :rotfl2:

We absolutely understood -- your family had so much going on at the time, our hearts went out to you, believe me! :grouphug:

Amanda needs to give us a report about EE. Amanda???

Have a great week everyone!! :wave2:

Jennifer and Dave are about to print a new edition of the DCL PassPorter. They've added updates to the previous edition and have put the left overs on sale before the new edition goes out. It's a great book! Check out the website for information. I'm not sure if I can give the website but try www.____.com. It'll get you there. :thumbsup2

EE was really neat! I wouldnt say it was scary, but it was fun. I think it was a cross between BTMR and The Mummy at IOA...I do not want to spoil the ride, but you will come off grinning....I do not think it was rough..in fact I think Space Mountain is rougher...We got a free lanyard and pin that says " I got a sneak Peek" and CJ thought that was the greatest! The line in the merchandise store was CRAZY! I wanted a t shirt or something, but I figured I would wait until May.
Diana, I think you asked if it was worth a one day ticket? IMHO.....No. It was really fun, and if there was more at AK than I would say yes,....but since you all have done AK before and pretty mcuh seen it all, then I say no. Of course I could be biased, as AK is my least favorite park......which I guess is why the put the new ride there..to draw more traffic in.....If you are really curious about it, I have a link somewhere of the ride itself...I can try and find it for you and sed it to you. Let me know
