We have seen people get left and have to catch the pilot boat to the ship, often the ship won't stop just slow and they have to climb on, enough to make you get back on time!! :goodvibes
That would have been FUN!!

Mama would have been Wiggin Real Good!!

Was that an excursion through Princess? What if you had refused to run? Just a thought.

You might be able to tell, but that wasn't one of my fondest cruising memories.

That was the day we took our host from the Mirage on the sailboat to St. John...from St Thomas. So we were "on our own". It was worse for Jay, he was hauling the snorkel bag.
And do you remember going back to the ship in St. Thomas? Through the shops, and then you had to find the correct entry through the fence? We were at the wrong spot in the fence, and had to go alllllll the way down to the front of the ship, through the fence, and then alllll the way to the back of the ship where they had the gangway.

I think if DADDY doesn't shut up....he's gonna be sleepin' on the couch....for a month!!! :rotfl2:

I forgot...I meant to do this yesterday.....but I wanted to give credit where credit is due.......I had help figuring out the dinner schedules....the days of each of the "special" dinners.....a big thanks to Irene!!!

Then of course there was the princess from the 10 day who was late getting on in St. Martin. Came screaming up in a golf cart carrying about 10 bags. She looked insulted that they wouldn't bring the gang plank back out for her. Wish they had left her on the shore.

Gotta go feed the boys....Jordan is at dance. The school nurse called about Jared today, he had a really bad "episode"....he was still shaken by it when he got home...it scared him, because he said his chest hurt badly. ?? So I called the doctor, and didn't get a call back. I asked Jay just now if he thought I should take Jared for a chest xray or something...but he thinks that since Jared just had all those tests, it would be a waste of time. :confused3

No kidding! But our live entertainment at dinner would have ended.....
I'm pretty sure she had enough credit cards with her to BUY a plane to get her to the next stop.

So, a question for you cruise veterans. What would be the best thing to do, if you knew your family was about to be left by the ship?

Sharon would go have dinner at Palo's. That would be the best meal she could think of having before she killed me. :rotfl:

When ever you book an independent trip there is always a chance something will go wrong. Even the best laid plans can go wrong with no fault of ours. Boat break down, someone having a diving emergency, etc.....

That is a chance we take and a reason why I always carry a passport and AMX with me when I leave the ship. With those two items I can go anywhere. I can also buy something really nice at the next port for Sharon. :lmao:

Although Kevin has promised to NEVER cut it that close again, and I would kill him if he did, it could happen on one of these dive excursions. I wasn't thinking clearly at the time, but I guess I should get off the ship with our passports and our valuables. They wouldn't have much luck getting to the next port without passports and money, right?

I guess I'd have to say "sorry about your luck" and continue on. After all, no point in ALL of us being miserable! Besides, the creme brulee is better on the ship than in any port! I'm staying with the creme brulee! :lmao:

That's what I'm talking about! Kevin needs to get an Amex, obviously.

Which brings up another question. Where do you put these rather valuable items while you're diving? Do you leave them on the boat, trusting the driver not to decide to take the good stuff and leave you there? Kevin could probably answer this, but he's gone on pick up duty.

I've not felt nervous leaving our stuff on the boats....but I also have one of the water proof fanny packs that I use if we're beachin' it.

Stacey, package is going out tomorrow.
Let me know when you get it, I've got special instructions for the one thing. :)

HAY BbB empty your PM's ITS FULL

gaRry
Whoops- sorry... hard to keep that thing empty- so few PMs allowed and so much info I need to save about the cruise/etc. (and not enough time-okay I'm lazy- to transfer all that to emails or something)

I hope he wouldn't dive alone! That is against the buddy rules of scuba!!
I didn't mean ALONE alone. I meant alone without someone capable of saving people/etc. like dive masters and instructors- that type of thing. Garry already told me they've only dove for a couple of years- that's the same as Jeff! I meant out there with divers same as himself without a more experienced diver/instructor... not completely alone! LOL

Oh and yes I am a worrywart. About everything in general but not usually to this degree. When it comes to someone who holds my heart in his hand out in the ocean which is the scariest thing EVER to me... yeah, I worry. I'm already worried anyway, no need to add the thought of no dive master or instructor out there also. LOL

Someone said the character breakfast is at sea days... not for us apparently. AP on the first night means character breakfast the next day (according to someone else on this thread just recently) and that means on Castaway Cay day for us!

Hello. It's me..the night walker. Got up to go to the ladies' room and can't fall back to sleep. I HATE when that happens. Too many things racing through this little mind, I guess. Not much talking happened last night. Are we slipping? Guess I'll go check out the "other" boards.
