And if two days aren't just the right amount of time - I can go instead???!!!! ;)

Well, at least you wouldn't have to travel far! :flower:

Another T.O.P. with Monica !! We have to stop meeting like this.

Let's meet in person!

Oooooo.....someone wants to go overboard in May! :maleficen
Deja vois!! It would seem that we've played this game before......... :teeth:

You gotta catch me!!! :rotfl2:

I thought we'd need a jacket, at least. Thanks.
Food...hmmm...something easy on my tummy. No sushi. Jay's allergic to fish, but not shrimp. Is there someplace close that has a little of everything? Like a TGI Friday's type of place? That way, we wouldn't have to worry about trying to please everyone.

Hope your tummy is better for the cruise. Sam says the "food poisoning" I had on Tuesday contributed to my motion sickness on Saturday....blah humbug! I was robbed a weekend of diving....didn't tell the guys that I had been sick.

I may not run fast, but I can get your beloved to help me trick you!

I always try to go easy on myself the first couple days of travel. I don't want to get on the ship with anything resembling a stomach bug!

Feeling better on the stress level at least. I got all my errands run. New glasses, money out of the bank, accountant.....all that silly stuff.
Going to toss some cookies into the oven, make it look like I made Christmas cookies for tonight! ;) Sssh.....I got the ready-to-bake.

Well, it was kind of obvious when you were hanging over the side of the boat feeding the fishes.

From tossing cookies to hanging over the side of the boat feeding fishes....

sounds like i'm involved in a thread with a bunch of 2nd graders

Hope everyone's feeling better. I finally can say I am.

As a total aside, I'm watching Batman Begins, and something I really am going to see if I can find out... does Liam Neeson have it in his contracts that his character has to die?

Some of his better roles lately have been this way.

Star Wars - shish-ke-bob
Batman Begins - toast
Chronicles of Narnia, dies, but is resurrected.
Kingdom of Heaven - dead

It seems to be a recurring thing with him. Is he afraid of being typcast or something?

Stacey, I'm making cookies tonight too ... for the girls to take to day care tomorrow for parties. I bought the roll!!!

I cheated on dinner tonight too ... Stouffer's frozen lasagna ... at least I did make fried eggplant from scratch to go with it.

Hey, he was dead at the end of Schindler's List, come to think of it.

(staying out of the barf thread)

The same person probably also wrote John Travolta's contracts with the clause that he must dance in every movie... :rotfl2:

Nothing better than bein woken up by the sound of a child vomiting...sigh...........It is going to be one heck of a day...

I had my DD home with that monday she was up all Sunday night throwing up.
DH and I have it worked out, I did all the diapering when they were little as he get sick from that and I don't do the throw up thing so it worked out well for both of us. Hope they feel better soon.

How about K-19 - he made it to the end of that one...

Maybe it's just a blockbuster clause - if he dies it's a hit movie...

Kids' final day of school was today - they don't return until the 9th - sigh..

John baked last night for the teachers - the joys of him on school break too - he's in the mood to cook and bake - Irish Soda Bread and then made his famous white and dark chocolate mousse. I think he enjoys making all these women drool and sigh with delight (over his creations...) :rotfl2: He even takes care of previous years' teachers, too...

MIL&FIL decided to come down for a few days after the New Year - it's one of those rare occasions with nothing on the calendar except work - so the ILs will be able to take the kids places and do things - they would much rather do that than go to games and kids' activities...

In our case, it's the GIRLS who do all the calling on the phone...in the 6th grade! My Mom would have beaten me with a stick if I'd called a boy. Some of these girls even call Jared as late as midnight, but I'm sure by then, their parents are in bed and don't know they're on the phone.
Good luck with that.....better make sure you have a baseball bat!

Sounds like something I am NOT looking forward to next year ...grrr.

Sad to announce that Grandma Lightbulb will not be joining us on this cruise. She's debated having us cancel because her chemo is making her sick, sick, sick. It goes on for three weeks, then she gets a week off which she spends sleeping....then back to three weeks on. :( She will still be on this for the cruise and if it's NOT her off week, she can't go, and if it is, she'll be too sick to enjoy the cruise.
We tried in vain to talk her into waiting until the last minute (March sometime) to make the call, but I think now she feels better just knowing she doesn't have to *try* to make it on the cruise.
Prayers would be welcome.
Mary, an email from you (or a letter since she isn't checking email much) would lift her spirits. :)
