Sorry yesterday was a rough one, Ang..... hard to be coming along so well, and then have a "down" day. Hopefully, that will be the last one!

Yea! A T.O.P. with Angie...the Princess of the Day!

Angie, Happy Belated Birthday! Sorry it was a tough one.

Sounds like a great cruise, Stacey. Our one non-Disney cruise had a horrible debarkation system too. Seems like the whole day was rough after that. And packing, yuck! I thought you were going to have a butler? Maybe that's the next cruise, and I'm getting confused.

My big task today is getting Alicia a doctor's appointment for her back and some recent fatigue, which is unusual for her. The HMO has her assigned to a doctor that no longer seems to be around. We liked that doctor, too. So I have to figure out where to get her reassigned before I can make an appointment.

We don't have much family to celebrate holidays with, either. One reason we have gone cruising for the last two Christmases. I know we're going to wish we were somewhere this Christmas.

I am in the lucky group of Western cruisers who get to go to Nassau. BUMMER! I have been there 3 times with DCL and 2 times with RCI, not my favorite port. I will look forward to a Magical day on board! My sister likes to gamble so she may taxi over to Atlantis.

Christmas. My best holiday in many years was last year on Magic. So many lovely friends sharing memories. Since my family is all here in Maryland even birthdays can be too much. Mom loved so many people speaking to her, knowing her name. She still regrets not going to Christmas Eve service with Mary and Mark. And she loved the gentlemen offering their arm or pushing her chair. I had better stop or I will book something!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so ready for my mom to be gone. She doesn't listen to me and does what she wants to do even though I've asked her not to. Yesterday she came in to my room and said that she had seen some baskets at Wal-mart. She was going to "organize" my spice shelf and put the bottles in the baskets. That makes no sense at all since the spice shelft is at my shoulder level and I can easily access anything in it. And if everything is in baskets then I've got to pull down a baskets of 6+ bottles ... that would be heavy. I politely told her NOT to buy the baskets and NOT to do anything with that shelf. DH came home for lunch and asked if I had seen what my mom did. I went to the kitchen & told her that she didn't listen to me and to undo it all!!! She also bought steaks to cook for dinner when I told her on Sun. that we were going to order Chinese take-out for dinner!!! UGH!!!

Bummer! But you know, that "Mother is always right" don't you??? :rotfl2:

I'm sure she is only trying to help, in her own (gotta do it my way)!!! :confused3 :earseek:

BTW, Happy B-Day!! :grouphug: :cheer2: :grouphug: :cheer2: :cake: :bday:

The other cruise lines returned to Cozumel yesterday....but they have to tender in.
Cozumel even declared this week a week-long holiday, with all sorts of festivities to welcome back the cruisers.
So why isn't DCL going back yet?

Stacey - my thinking is that while Cozumel might think they are ready DCL must not. I would think they have sent reps out to check it out. I'm sure it is a very hard decision. The island depends on tourism, but DCL depends on keeping their customers happy.

Diana, are you looking for a dr. for Alicia's back or just a general practioner? I have some scoliosis websites that list drs. by area. You can PM me and I'll send you the links if you're interested. I'm glad we stuck with a PPO during this process. I didn't have to bother with all of the red tape.

If they are using a tender, I don't want to go to Cozumel... one of the reasons I liked our itinerary is that there were no tenders involved!!!

The numbers on my top ticker are getting smaller... its time to start thinking about HOW I'm going to actually 'present the present' for Christmas... when my kids were little, we always did the paper chain thing around Christmastime. Even though they're bigger now, I want to give them a paper chain that starts on Christmas Day and goes through the day we sail. I want to put some sort of DCL fact, trivia, or other tidbit about the cruise on each link.... that's 151 days...

I've got some of them in there (I'm doing it in Excel, and cutting the cells apart...), but not enough. (Things like... January 2 - FACT: Our cabin number is #2034... January 3 - Get Passports ). I'll recognize family birthdays, etc to take up some more links. But I need your ideas!!!!! Help!!!! I've already taken all the facts off the DCL site...

I'm hesitant about putting Cozumel facts on there now... we may end up somewhere else...

Any ideas?

revised western itinerary changes are posted through May 20 - I wonder if we'll be the 1st group back to Cozumel...hmmm, only time will tell! One thing for sure, Costa Maya will be throughly researched and reported on by the time it's our turn.

Monica -- Where did you find this out at. I checked out the DCL site and it only shows modified changes through January. I have a very expensive excursion booked in Cozumel for our cruise. Wondering if there has been a lot of damage at Chankannab for the royal dolphin swim.
