And slick floors and old ladies with walkers DO mix?

Scary!

And let me be the first to tell you that slick tile floors and greyhound dogs DON'T mix either... remember the ice skating scene in Bambi... that gets reinacted in our house on a regular basis... it's pretty funny! :rotfl2:

Good point! Hadn't even thought of that. Though most of the residents were in wheel chairs. There were only a couple of actual chairs in the common room. It was cute, though. One little old lady walked into the room on her own, right next to where the girls were changing. She latched onto Alicia, asking her where the show was. So Alicia helped her to a seat.

From teachers to senior centers, how about a retired teacher in a senior center. DM, Jeanne, has been laughing for weeks. The center where she goes made some improvements but only put in one handi stall. They have 20 handi parking places but only one 'senior friendly' stall! Daily there is a line for the ladies OR the staff have to help someone off the pot.

Sue, I'm glad your DM can have a sense of humor about it! I wouldn't, if I needed to go!

I'm jealous!!! Hope you have some time to enjoy dinner in the North End while you're there! Until we moved to FL, we were 45 minutes from dinner in Boston on a Saturday night. I miss it!!!!

Unfortnately you know how these trips work. I'll be lucky if I get to leave the Marriott. They might as well have the meeting in Iowa.

We finally made all the decision regarding shore excursions for our trip. I don't know if it is a blessing only having 1 week to decide or not. Everything did seem to pull together, even the dive trip in Fort Lauderdale. To bad Sam and Irene won't be in town.

I am out of here until Wednesday. Have a good couple of days! :sunny:

Hey, 'Manda...good to "see" you!

Have a good trip, Jim....too bad there aren't any DISer's to take you to lunch!

Diana, sounds like the kids at least had fun. Poor Alicia...what did she DO when the old guy tried to ...to....tap her heinie? (Do they never stop, btw?? Dogs till they die, I guess)

Guess I caught a bug. Fever, chills, nausea.....I didn't feel good when we came back from the cruise, have been needing to sleep a lot all week...I must have been fighting it pretty good all week, because today it hit with a bang.
I made it through the cheer competition, grabbed a few groceries to hold the girls over tonight and tomorrow, and crashed big time. Jay and Jared are at the cabin.
The girls got 1st place out of 13 schools. It was really fun to watch all the teams.
The varsity girls were a little bummed with their 6th place, but at least they did make their bid for Nationals. JV is going to Nationals in Anaheim over my birthday in March (I am SO there!) and Varsity goes to WDW in February, I think.
Back to the couch. Talk to you all tomorrow, if I am still alive.

I'm up again so I thought I'd post a picture....this was at Honeymoon Beach in St John...
And I also added more pictures (9 or 10) to my photo site. Most are of Princess's private island, Princess Cays. Check them out: www.photobucket.com/albums/v444/justmestace

Meanwhile.....a buddy of mine:

Cool, dude...a T.O.P. with Crush!

Thought I'd put this guy over here too....and then back to bed.

Cruise Related!

The first picture in my album is a photo I found in Caribbean Life & Travel of the pier in Costa Maya. They weren't kidding when they said it was a loooooong pier (with shuttles, thank goodness) and that there was a huge complex built up just for cruise passengers. Here's the small shot...you can click on it in my album (link above) to see it larger.

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Sunday!

Went to Mass last night so we got to sleep in today.
Stacey - feel better.
Hope Irene, Sam, Hedgie and Scoopie are having fun on their cruise!

You're in the wrong business... when we're in any major city for a meeting, we get handed a list of the 'accounts' that we should frequent... the local wholesaler always has the responsibility of making sure there are promotional activities going on at their biggest accounts when the 'circus' is in town. It's our civic duty to make sure the product is fresh and compliments the food properly.

Stacey, hope you're feeling better today.

Jim, I hope you at least have a little fun on your trip!

The rest of the family is off to Mass right now. I thought I'd try to go this morning but DH thought I should give it another week or so. He doesn't like me riding in the car. Another lazy day at home for us.

Nice pictures Stacey!!

It's good to get a glimpse of the Costa Maya port. Thanks,

Thanks for the pics, Stacey. How did you like the PC island compared to Castaway? It looks very pretty. So who is Bobby?

Hoping to go see Zathura today. Not feeling great, but we've been looking forward to seeing it. DD needs to get her homework done first.

Just woke up....I was up again at 8:00, and slept more till just now. Other than feeling like I was run over by a truck, I seem better.

Diana, Bobby is our host from the Mirage. He's the one I call when I need a room, or anything once we are there. He's the one who invited us on the cruise. He and his wife are the nicest people. She didn't get to go, she now works for Wynn (used to work for the Bellagio...Events Planning) and couldn't get the time off.
