Karen - you do beautiful work. Maybe you could work with Maria on the t-shirts and cross stitch our names and a logo on the front. :rotfl2:

She can have KT and Nick do it as part of a school project. :rotfl2:

Kevin, check you emails. I sent you one about diving in December. I figure you check here before you read your emails....being the true DISer you are.

Matt and I are heading to Dog Days this weekend at Manatee Springs. (for everyone else...this is a diving event put on by a dry suit maker. They have demos). It will be fun to see them fit Matt with a dry suit. Tall, skinny, and size 13 shoes.

The DIS boards are acting up today, at least for me. Keep getting "server is busy". So I'm keeping my post short, in case it doesn't go through. Anyone else?

Diana I got that message a few times when I was on at lunch.

I appreciate your confidence in me!! :rotfl:

Dog Days are fun!! You're right about Matt, should be fun fitting that kid...... They'll have to fit the height and let the rest be baggy!! Size 13 Rock boots, Wooweee!!! :rotfl2:

So I am reading my backpacking magazine and they give their tips to making the perfect Smore. Step 1. Soak the marshmellows in Cognac before roasting.

It was just to different to NOT try it. Thankfully it is only 70 degrees so the fireplace felt pretty good. We had smore left overs from Halloween party so out they came tonight.

They were pretty good. Any excuse to open up the Cognac during the week! :cool1:

The kids had to take a break from homework to cook smores. I can hear them now, "we did not get our homework done because my dad was soaking his marshmellows in Cognac and then putting them in the fire!"

Good Morning Cruisers - one week until I start packing for the November cruise -

Can't wait - can't wait - ca't wait....

I was reading through the lis f what to do before you cruise and it is all wrong - I does not say, for eample, prepare and clean-up from hurricane.

Nor does it say have arguement with cat, who wants turkey cooked from hurricane freezer thaw, spill turke juice all over kitchen floor, clean-up turkey juice, which is now all over your clothes, shoes and the "kitchen sink". Find out cat has thrown up - clean up after cat.......buy pancake make-up to cover bruises from hurricane clean-up....I think I need to go talk to this "Dave" guy and his ultimate lists......... :rotfl2:

Time for Coffee.....Lots of Coffee....

All of this will just make the cruise even better. What great timing to plan a cruise for right after a hurricane. Just slip away on that cruise ship while everyone else is without power. You are good! :rotfl:

Dive Alert - Dive Alert

Kevin - I hope things are settled down by your December Keys trip but the Keys are still pretty torn up right now. There were reports from the DACS regardng the fishing industry that traps are scattered everywhere. Have not sen a report on the reefs yet. The state parks are still recovering. I'll see if I can find the inside scoop from Pennekamp, as an example, if you like...

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Thursday!

Me too!! :earseek:

I have read that things were not adversely affected in the Key Largo area as further North. Read that water temp dropped about 3-5° right after the storm though, but all in all it was ok, and the dive ops were up and running.

Maybe the traps got more action since they have floats that mark their location. :confused3

Good morning all,

Crazy day for me today. Gotta go and bring back "returns" to stores. I hate doing this, but they are starting to pile up in my house.

Tomorrow I have to bring my 82-year old father-in-law to the doctors for an upper endoscopy. He's a widower and both of his daughters live upstate NY. I feel bad so I offered to bring him. He's a good Pop Pop and we love him.

Weather in the NY area has been beautiful. Shhhh don't say it too loud, the weather Gods might hear me. All this week is around the upper 60's, but cool at night. Frost on the grass in the morning. KikiKaren - remember that sight? I kinda like it. The air is so fresh and clean. Geez, sounds like a commercial. The kids get to play outside after school and that's good for letting out all their energy.

Talk to you guys later.

Maria

Oh, before I go I had a question for you guys.

I know a lot of you have APs for WDW, but I'll ask anyway. I'm trying to figure out which passes to get for this upcoming trip of ours. I am only looking to buy the 3-day PLUS(2) pass with no expiration date. My question is:

How often do you "HOP" between the parks on a given day? Is it worth it to spend, in my case, an extra $100 to "HOP" between the parks? I don't think so, but maybe someone could shed some light on the situation. This really isn't a vacation to go to the parks so much as it is for R&R. I'm hoping to have an extra day leftover for before the cruise.

Thanks guys.

Maria

Kevin,

Thanks. I already have all the pricing done. Just don't know if spending an additional $100 for "Hopping" is worth it. Ticketmania seems to have the cheapest prices for the pass that I want.

I want: 3 day Magic Plus, no expiration = $856
same ticket WITH hopping = $958

It's ridiculous how much the price of admission has gone up over the years. Great marketing and sales to break up all the different "options" that you could "add on" to the base ticket. Unbelievable -God Bless America.

Would you spend the extra money? Do you hop between the parks? That's what I'm having trouble deciding.

Maria
