WHERE are we mini-meeting the night before we sail? Hubby's a little hesitant about meetin' y'all. He says I already know you guys and he won't. I know, he should come on the boards, but the guy just about has time to eat dinner by the time he's finished working and falls asleep on the recliner. We call it the catcher's mitt.

So, WHERE is the meet?

On our 10 day Frances (DW) really only knew the Ohio Mouse family.... She met everybody else on the way or on board.....

Your hubby will do fine....

Don't worry, - there'll be a few spouses looking slightly bewildered and bemused, mine included...With as open, friendly and welcoming as this bunch is - he'll be in the thick of things in no time...

And I have a feeling it'll be easier at the restaurant when some of us are meeting face to face for the first time...

Thanks for the words of confidence. My hubby will be in that group too. I'm not sure if we'll meet anyone beforehand or not. Unless we can get a mini-meet in ATL some time between now and then. We probably won't be at the port the night before since Emily won't get out of school until that Fri. We'll either drive down 1/2 way or if we can leave early, I'm sure we'll stay with my sister in Lake Mary, FL.

Let's put it this way.....my DH Jay is just about the most quiet, reserved....some would say UNFRIENDLY....guy there is. He didn't know anyone before the 10 Night....although he had heard me yap about everyone....
and it took him a couple of nights and a bottle or two of Banfi....but he warmed up pretty good.
Now when I say "We're cruising" the first thing he wants to know is "Are any of the others coming?".
Poor dude is disappointed if it's just me!

Well, you can see what happened in our house. I did post to the Cruise Meets thread for our first cruise in Oct. '02. As it turned out, the folks on that thread were not that interested in getting together on the cruise. Our next DCL cruise was the 10 day, and what a difference. After months of hearing me talk about the folks on the thread, Kevin joined in. Now he's almost caught up to me in posts, and I've been on here a lot longer. I told him he might find a scuba buddy, but we've found much more than that! Oh yeah, he found a scuba buddy too!

Hey, we just booked a trip to Myrtle Beach in August. Kinda a last minute thing. I've never vacationed in SC. Drove through a lot, but never stayed. Excited! And, we're driving. This should be an event. Anybody have any tranquilizers???

It's BEAUTIFUL here in the south! I just went out for a brisk walk and it is gorgeous outside - more like spring rather than WINTER. Weather.com says that we are currently at 62 degrees. I could have sworn that it was warmer than that.

Irene - Docs for our Jan 28 'modified' western on Magic. If anyone needs anything let me know. DCL has changed the tix. Now only booklet with all three names. Sure makes things easier.

Irene, do you know the release date for this movie? If it releases that week, we probably will. I don't think they show them early, though. Wouldn't that be fun to watch in the big theater?

I've been reading about the new dining plan for DVC members. It would be a good deal for us since we're planning to dine at California Grille the night we arrive. Only problem, we cannot possibly eat sushi, filet AND dessert for three. Not even Kevin. Well, maybe. And the teen would try. OK, I couldn't do it!

I just checked Rotten Tomatoes, POC2 release on July 7. We won't be seeing it on our cruise.

I've not had much luck keeping up with this thread - Y'ALL MOVE FAST!!!

I see where y'all were discussing final payment due dates. Our TA's paperwork showed 3/13/2006, but in big bold letters said "FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE 90 DAYS PRIOR TO SAILING" - Trying to get that figured out; not having much luck yet!!

We're driving to Cocoa Beach Friday 5/26 - should be there before dinner time. We're booked at the Four Points Sheraton.


Angie: we should plan a mini-meet in Atlanta prior to the cruise - GREAT idea!


And a special message to Virgil: I don't see where you gloated (is that the word?!!) over your Sugar Bowl win!! Congratulations to the Mountaineers! They came out ready to win and it showed!! We were VERY impressed with your young quarterback; ah, heck - we were impressed with the whole team!! The better team won!
