DD Taylor has been learning about the Titanic in school. So obviously she wanted to watch the movie. We just got through watching it, and no matter how many times I see it, I bawl like a baby!

Is that different than a Chicken Little?
Caleb and I just got around to naming our remaining 5 laying hens; Orange, BBQ, KF, Broiled, and Baked. Not that any of them will end up that way. They're too small and probably a little tough. Our dalmation would know since she's the one that got the other 5 that we USED to have. :dog2:

I can only watch that movie when DH is working or out in his workshop all day. I do think that he watched most of it once, though. Have you ever heard of the movie 'The Mighty'? It came out several years ago. I had never heard of it, but had read that it was a good tween boy type movie. It was very good, but talk about bawling at the end! Also, the movie 'Savannah Smiles' always did that every time I watched it.

I lurk on here several times a day. I usually just don't have anything to say. My CJ abandoned his e-mail pals. Too many other things to do, I guess.

I have not heard of either of these movies. For some readon "The Mighty" is ringing a bell for me, but I know that I have not seen it. Who is in it? Good for a cry huh? I am all cried out thos evening but maybe 2mmrw! LOL

Megan & I went to the Titanic Exhibit when we were in Las Vegas last month. Jay and the kids and I had gone before, but Megan hadn't seen it. It still gives me chills to see "the big piece" of the hull, with some of the porthole windows still intact.
It's fun to go to, because they give you a "boarding pass" with a bio of a real passenger, and at the end, you get to find out if "you" lived or died. This time I was the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown!

I'm back...took an hour. Didn't bring my own child home, but I took four others. One left her cell phone in my car, so I'll have to deliver it tomorrow, and another was throwing Skittles...had to find them and throw them away. I swear, sometimes the teens are worse than kindergarteners.

It was adapted from the book 'Freak, the Mighty'. It's from 1998 and has Kieran Culkin, Sharon Stone, Gena Rowlands, Harry Dean Stanton, Meat Loaf, and Gillian Anderson among others.

Maybe I have seen this. I remember staying up really late a few months back to watch a movie on showtime because I wanted to see how it ended. And I remeber it did have the ounger Culkin boy in it. He was a prep school kid that decided not to go back...

My "crying movie" is Steel Magnolias.
oooh that is a good one! I have a lot of crying movies. I am very easy to make cry about a movie! I even cry at LaBamba when Ritchies mother hears on the radio that he has been killed! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT MY RITCHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody old enough to remember the movie "The Champ"? When Rick Schroeder was still "Ricky"? That's another good cry movie.

And one that's even older than that one....Brian's Song. Oh yeah.

I love Brian's Song. My DH won't watch it with me anymore because I cry so much. But, I pretty much cry at anything even remotely sad or for that matter remotely happy:flower:

Stacey I hope you are feeling better. I had stomach flu right after we came back from WDW. The good thing is that I am now 10 lbs lighter than before I left to go to WDW. Got started on loosing that weight before the cruise, now only about 30 more to go (haha) On top of that, I now have a bad case of bronchitas. I am on antibiotics, steroids, breathing treatments and one other medicine. I should be in bed, but unfortunately, we have a swim meet this weekend (tonight, tomorrow and Sunday).

Oldest child is off to Odessa for the area band competition. This competition will determine the kids that make it to the State competition. I don't think my son will make it to the next step, because they only take 2 kids from the area that will advance to state. But this is good experience for next year. I think that he will do much better next year.

One more and this should make a top:)

yeah --pirate:

I am having a tough time trying to decide on shore excursions for our cruise. I know we still have a little while, but I figure I better start thinking about it. I have already made some ADR's for WDW after the cruise. It seems so strange making those 180 days in advance.

Moms are not allowed to go to bed when they are sick. I've rarely gotten to stay in bed even after surgery!
Jordan and I (and then Megan) had the whole bronchitis thing just before Christmas.....luckily the meds worked well and within a few days of taking them we at least felt human again. Good luck!!

I didn't gain any weight on the cruise, and have lost 4 lbs since then. Being sick helps...and I'll (almost) take it any way I can. It might be just enough to motivate me to lose more!!

Agggghhhhhh......don't start me on excursions! I know that we are doing Tulum, but I can't make up my mind about Costa Maya. Snorkel boat, or just beach it??
This should not be a hard decision! LOL

I know what you mean about staying in bed. I had a house full of company after our trip to WDW and that is when I got the stomach flu. I still got up and cooked the next morning and picked up after everyone all day.

I too have to have motivation to lose weight. I lost 30 pounds last time, but of course I have gained all of that back. I can already tell a little difference on some of those things that had gotten too tight, that usually helps to make me want to stay with it.

Good luck

Stacey -- looks like it is just us westerners here tonight. I think I am going to have to call it quits soon too so I can try to sleep. The last couple of nights I have been in the recliner in the living room
